Please could we have the ability to change modules in space, pehaps with some new mechanic ability?
I'd like to be able to fit a rack of 8 WCS in my Armouredgeddon so I can travel into 0.0 so I don't get scrammed. Then when I get there it might not have a station, so I need to fit armour hardeners and reppers while out in the wilds of space.
Swapping guns for mining lasers and back again would be handy.
Any chance this could make it onto the "to do" list?

You can do this at a POS with a Ship Maintenance Array.
Any more flexibility would kinda make a mockery of choosing a ship setup before you leave. Everyone would be able to be in the perfect setup for every occasion. And thats not really in the spirit of EVE.......... -----------------------------------------------

Edited by: Del369 on 08/12/2006 12:21:42 Actually it could go some way towards ending the difference between pve and pvp setups, then if your ratting and local jumps and you have the gear on board, well crew on the Enterprise don't have a problem swapping out modules and weapons do they ? why should we ? think about it........ might put an end to a lot of whining to, again at least people would have a chance to then fight instead of trying to hide because their ship is crap for pvp. i suggest an Adv Mechanic skill trained to 3 enables changing of modules by your ships crew, just like in reality, uhhh oops i mean Star trek

small steps as they say, and first things first, lets get atmospheric flight, station invasions, and being able to fly your ship 1st person with a joystick first shall we

LOL. Every time I start what I think is a sensible and innocous topic, I get a total flame war.
Then for a laugh I think of something that I think will get people's blood boiling and calling for me to be strung up by my nadgers, and what do I get?
Sensible bleedin' replies, that's what I get!
Come on people, "Armouredgeddon"?
