So I am trying to figure out ore yields beforehand so I can choose what ores to mine and my highest profits. My very first calculation makes no sense to me.
I have 46,666 units of condensed scordite and it says 364 units of trit and 182 of pyrite will be processed. Easy calc right? 46,666 X 3.64 = 169,864.24 trit right? Wrong. It gave me 169,624 which is 240.24 short.
WHAT? Please help me. Danke. |

Choose ore to mine based upon ISK per m3.
It doesn't matter the actual yield, as the numbers will all be relative.
... except for Mercoxit, which is the only ore that cannot be harvested with the same yield.

a shorter and less detailed version of what Tau said is that you can no longer get the 99.5% refine that you used to be able to get and figuring out actual yield from refining is now intentionally more difficult.
They wanted to get away from people just figuring out what they needed to do to get perfect refine and have to make choices about how much you want to invest in getting how high of a percentage of yield. |

If you're using numbers from the in-game refining screens, then all the math that Tau Calabander explained should be built in.
However, refining happens in batches of 100 (364 trit and 182 pyerite for 100 units of scordite), so, for your 46,666 units of scordite, 46,600 will be refined, and the last 66 will be returned to you. So, 46,600 x 3.64 = 169,624, which is what you got. You should have 66 units of condensed scordite in the hangar somewhere. The "batches of 100" rule applies to ammo and some missiles also. |

Memphis got the answer right. I was not asking about refining. Perhaps I should have asked about the breakdown of an ore prior to refining. I thank you all for replying! |

Memphis got the answer, but there's one other thing you should be aware of when you start using implants.
The reprocessing implant does not show its percentage calculated in-game, BUT! you do still get the correct percentage from it when you actually reprocess. It's just a display error in-game with the reprocessing implants. |
