Hello fellow capsuleers. I have to ask because this is very confusing for me. I was inactive for 3 years, used a credit card to buy one plex to get my account back and active in may. From then I've been using PLEX bought ingame for isk as my method of extending gametime.
I logged on my account management page today and this is what i see:
Account TypeActive - Paying with CreditCard urrent Subscription1 Month EVE subscription - Cancelled Account Expires20 September 2015 - 7:28 pm UTC (in 37 days)
(I cancelled the subscription just right now) So the question is if i cancelled the subscription that means eve will no longer charge my credit card but I'll be ok as long as I using a PLEX ingame? Also does the "account expires" refer to my pilot license or is it something different? If yes then how can I check how long my pilot license is vaild. |

Cancelling the subscription just means that CCP won't charge your card, as long as you're using PLEX to sub your account will remain active.
The account expires date refers to the date your account runs out of the current sub, that date should change as you apply PLEX to your account in lieu of a subscription as far as I know.
In addition, if you're paying by PLEX CCP won't charge your card even if you haven't cancelled that payment method.
Civilized behaviour is knowing that violence is barbaric, but paying other people to do it is business.

Confirming what Jonah said.
You can check how long your plex paid sub is active a couple of ways:
1. On the character selection screen, top left corner you will see a Plex symbol and nn days, next to it. And you will see additional ones if you are using multiple character training with Plex.
2. In game, go to character sheet and pilot licence tab, you will see the same information there as well. |

If you have a credit-card subscription and apply PLEX, promotion codes, or free time that CCP may give out, that gets used up first, and your CC doesn't get charged until all that pre-paid (or free) time runs out.
Not sure why they applied the CC to your subscription, though, if you only used it to buy PLEX. Maybe it's an automated thing, like having a credit card "saved" to an account. |
