I cannot reach the character selection screen, I am greeted by a completely black screen instead... I can however bring the settings menu up by hitting the ESC key.
I have looked this problem up and been trying everything that was suggested. I tried wiping my cache, wiping my settings, or even completely wiping any EVE Online data (including the folder in ~/Library/Application Support/) and reinstalling. No dice. I found this post suggesting to remove those four core_* files in the user directory, same thing.
I also tried clearing my NVRAM as was suggested by someone, still nothing.
This is with a MacBook Pro Retina laptop (mid 2012), running OS X 10.10.5 that had been happily running Eve for months now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I tried to start the game directly instead of through the launcher; when I do this, after login I get this error message:
Local Session Corrupt The client's local session information is corrupt, probably as a result of failed cleanup during a disconnect. Connecting to the server in this state could lead to a rather unpleasant game experience. Please restart the client prior to logging in.
Needless to say, when I restart it, the same thing happens again. |

I have the same problem, but intermittently and on one mac but not another. CCP have been no help whatsoever. Latest advice is to restart my computer before trying to run Eve (really!!). But even that failed this morning. |
