Hi All,
Just wondering, is there any way to get a copy of your entire wallet or do you have to go thru it manually?.. like how do most people keep track of how much they sell and stuff? At the moment I do it all manually but was wondering if there was any way to copy the whole data (if I have the data I can write a program to then analize that data)..
If anyone has any suggestions that'd be great :)
thnx AzJnr

I have begged CCP for such an export fascility ever since beta.
Several times (4-5?) have a dev said - We'll look into it.
One time they even did it - But it didnt work (you exported someone elses wallet...)
Couple of years ago that one.
Since then - Just the occational promise of - We'll have a look at it...
I honestly havent got much hope any more of ever seeing this very simply to implement feature... For some reason it's "cursed" and CCP never gets around to it... Sadly.

It's possible yes. Don't ask me how though as it took me months to just get market exports working.
Look in the MachoNet cachedMethodCalls folder. It stores all calls to Eve servers and will contain wallet info. It's possible to reverse engineer it by looking at the strings it contains.

<sells stuff in jita>
"Oh lookies i got isk again! Time to go blow it up!"

I'd LOVE a wallet export feature... sadly, it would be impossible for me to ever do it manually. I buy/sell thousands of items per day... for months now. There are probably millions of entries in my wallet now.
That is also the reason I've heard for not having a wallet export feature... it would kill the database with all the hits it would require to work. Sure, some people only have a few transactions a day... for those people it would work. But the people who really wanna be able to export have so many transactions it bring the servers to their knees.

Try doing it with well over 300 line items worth around 7 billion, in varying quantities, located in a half-dozen different places (actually around 50, but a bunch get clumped under "other"), a portion of which are on the market. For bonus points, keep track of buy orders for those same items located elsewhere, spread across three different accounts (though they all use the corp wallet).
Let's just say I've gotten a hell of a lot better with Excel since I started this venture.

I tried detailed book-keeping on my corp's wallet for a month. With multiple people selling & buying it's impossible to do without having everyone do daily transaction journaling. I gave up & went to a monthly differential analysis to track corp value growth. Now, only, when I want to examine a particular facet of the business, do I go to the wallet.
As to CCP implementing a wallet export, they'd need to limit it to a 30 day window max or there would be people exporting 3 years of transaction data and crashing EVE.

Actually a really simply solution would be :
Simply export whatever is showing on the page of the wallet you currently are viewing.
Pro: No need for extra DB work - The info is already in the client. Just push it to disk.
Con: You'll have to manually wade through each page of your wallet to get all the info you want (and then hit the Export button for each page). But it's still eons better than having to type each entry by hand.
This is actually a DB *pro* - As it will keep rampant DB polling down.
This would be *so incredibly easy* to implement...
The above is not "The Perfect" solution at all - But it's a nice compromise between user satisfaction and DB load.
And did I mention : *so extremly easy* to implement... Really shouldnt be much more than a 30-60m job to do (for someone knowledgable with the EVE code - Hell.. Someone really fluent and profficient could prob knock it together in 10 minutes... Including testing...)
/me gets of his, by now, very very worn "Give us Wallet Export" soapbox...

CCP, oveur, tomb, jiekon or any other dev please remove the 2500 char limit from the log server (or increase it to 100000000) so that we can make our own exports, if it wasn`t for the char limit, wallet exports would have been a commen thing today
