We urge our brothers and sisters of the Theology Council to immediately canonize Her Majesty. The sorrow at the death of our beloved Empress still weighs heavily upon the hearts of all the faithful, but in this time of sadness we can be confident of one thing: the Empress is in Paradise. She now exists in the presence and glory of GodGÇÖs light.
Two stars heralded her return from death and then her ascension to Paradise. Her return from death is miracle enough, but that is not all she did. We also remember and honor her for bringing down heresy in the Imperial Court and her defeat, singlehandedly, of the Elder Fleet. She reunited us with our Khanid Kingdom brethren and King Khanid recognized Her Majesty as the Voice of God and the leader of the faith. Her MajestyGÇÖs dedication to God and the way that He worked through her is plain to everyone to see. She was the best of us all.
In life, we followed Her MajestyGÇÖs example as our Empress, the Voice of Divine Truth. She was the inspiration for all the faithful. In death, she remains our inspiration. Her Majesty would tell us all now to trust in God, to serve the Empire, to keep our faith. That is what we must do. That is what we will do.
In Her MajestyGÇÖs example, I have created the Order of Jamyl, which I soon hope to rename to the Order of Saint Jamyl. As theology is a process, we will be developing our core practices and rites, but our core belief is to follow the the inspiration our Empress. We will be cross checking Scripture and Canon law to ensure that we remain firmly in the bounds of the Holy Amarr church. We serve God and the Empire. We will honor her example and her memory and do our best to act as she would wish us to. We will await her return.
To lift the hearts of all the faithful, we urge the Theology Council to formally affirm what we already know in our hearts; Her Majesty, Empress Jamyl I is a saint. |

In the Holy Amarr Empire's hour of greatest need, she will return. The Once and Forever Empress pulled us up from the brink of our destruction. She was and is our strength, our guiding Light.
She ascended to Paradise at Safizon, and we will see to her as a beacon to guide us in our trials that swarm in unholy numbers at our gates.

I support this endevour in canonising the late Empress Jamyl at the Theology Council's earliest opportunity, but stress this must be evaluated to be compatible with Scripture and the Holy Amarr Church. As outlined by Bishop Amalath, there are many signs to show her as having had Divine Favour and Grace. From the Stars and her glorious return to defeat the Elder Fleet, and all her worldly efforts as a Stateswoman, the evidence of sainthood is heavy and great.
Amarr Victor.

Speaking on behalf of Her Ladyship, the virtuous Lady Shalee Lianne, whose house I serve with my utmost devotion, we offer our support to this most noble endeavor. My lady, Shalee Lianne, who attended the funeral services honoring the life and example set by of our most beloved late Empress, Jamyl Sarum I, was an ardent supporter of all of the Empress' policies. She is in mourning for the loss, though she takes solace in the knowledge that Empress Jamyl Sarum I rests in the divine light of the Almighty. As Lady Shalee Lianne follows Her Majesty's example as demonstrating herself as a paragon of virtue, magnanimity, and holiness, on behalf of her house and as her representative, I hereby affix the seal of government to this petition in official recognition of its righteous goal.
May the canonization of Her Majesty, Empress Jamyl Sarum I, become a reality.

*flickers in*
*She is in Dam Torsad , is a large square with finely cut grass and criss-crossed with paths of gold . A long procession of sisters clad in robes in Sarumite colors are proceeding eastwards from the forbidding cloistered walls of the Abbey of the Little Sisters of the Most Blessed Sword to the frescoed walls of the Chapel of the Most Blessed Sword. To the side of the Chapel is a building tower labeled GÇ£officesGÇ¥ where guests and outsiders could visit with the Sisters.
Slaves and their handlers and commoners part as the women proceed through the large space. The air is filled with their song. The song blends with the carillon bells calling the faithful in the square area to morning prayer. At the end of the procession, an open sedan chair is being lifted by four slaves. As the procession moves before a statue of the late Empress, it halts as the crowd gathered around the procession for the afternoon services begins to disrupt the singing with cries of "Santo Subito!" "Make her a Saint!"
After a few long moments of this, the Lady Abbess Benedicta Sechah , huffing and puffing , climbs down from her sedan chair and kneels herself before the Statue. The chanting grows louder and continues. The other sisters gather and also kneel.
Lunarisse, in tears joins in "Santo Sabito! Make her a Saint!*

Evidences showing that late Empress Jamy have had Divine Favor and Grace are well known, and her martyrdom makes this a obvious fact to everyone. Have no doubt, Theology Council will, in time they deem appropriate, canonize our beloved late Empress!

The Empress may not even be in Paradise. She freed slaves, a horrific, vile sin against a holy and righteous God. Her inquisition at the Judgement seat of God will be long and hard. |

The late Empress Jamyl Sarum might very well deserve being canonized. That's for the Theology Council to decide.
But let us not forget, it is God's light that guides us and our strength is in Him: The Emperor just as a Saint is a conduit for this - not more, not less. Our's is not to turn to them in God's stead, but to emulate them in how they turn to God. In the time of our greatest need, God will be there for the faithful and that's all we need.
Only in God can we thrive and grow. Only in God. |

I have refrained from replying to this thread as there have been some things said that took time to tame my tongue on...
That said, I will now respond to the Reverend Mother: I too pray that the Theology Council sees all that the Divine has done through Empress Jamyl I and honors her memory by canonizing her. |

I agree, her efforts to end slavery and in the last months of her life, to unite the whole cluster deserve to be remembered.
She is an example for all leaders, not just those of the Empire who will follow.

Jamyl Sarum, formerly Empress of our Great Empire. A lady of great wisdom and passion. Devoted to her subjects and the well-being of the Amarr Empire and all it's holdings. Fully deserves a lasting recognition within the Empire and without. We can garauntee her name will never be forgotten. Allowing her to officially become in death what she was in life should be a given. Jamyl Sarum was a Saint to our people, of the highest order. |

Everyone had known who Jamyl Sarum was, long before she reappeared, and everyone knew exactly what she'd done in the recent Minmatar invasion, though no two stories of the event ever seemed to match. All agreed, though, that she'd stopped the Minmatar in their tracks. She carried with her a reputation so legendary that it was reaching mythological levels, and her images showed an extraordinary beauty that brought decidedly secular thoughts to the minds of young men. She was as godly as anyone in this world could be.

I find it absolutely disgusting that the Theology Council has not canonized Her Majesty! This should not even be a debate. Perhaps the Theology Council needs to be PURGED of their fermenting heresy! |

Let us cool our tempers. Canonisation is not done overnight and nor is it heretical to take the time to gather evidence of Sainthood. I am certain our late Empress will be Canonised in good time, and continue to be an example for us all whom follow God's path.

Yeah, cool. I can totally support this.
In the meantime, can we stop bickering about her canonization and start saving her Empire?

Sayori Mishi, Do not let your love for her blind you to everything else. The Empress always served the Holy Amarr Empire, in life and in death. Furthermore, she pending her reign building the Empire up; we do not wish to tear it down. It is not what she would want us to do. Trust in God, trust in the Empire, and serve both. Everything will work out. |

After some consideration and prayer, I too support the Late Empress' canonization. She lived as an example, the hallmark of all Saints.
I respect the judgement of the Theology Council, and know they will move as God leads them in this matter.
I must caution some that a peculiar 'resurrectionist' movement appears to have grown in her wake.. it is my understanding of scripture that such teaching would be heretical. Of course final judgement on that matter lay with the Theology Council. Until such judgements I would caution against such 'revelations'.

All new beliefs are subject to scrutiny by the Theology Council and they do not issue injunctions against beliefs that are not already put forward. A wise man would hold his tongue until he understood all the facts. Theology is a process, one which is happening even now.
I am also wondering if you are trying to quote Scripture or not, since that quote is not from The Epitoth. |

Many of my favorite quotes are from infact lesser known epistles, which while not Official Scripture have historical validity. Several were in fact penned by blood ancestors of mine. |
