The EVE Forum Moderator Team is now accepting applications for Moderators. The EVE Forum Moderator Team is known as Communications Relay Commission and is a part of the EVE Volunteer Program known as Interstellar Services Department. We monitor the EVE Message Boards to make sure the Forum Rules are followed, while interacting with the community.
Note: This is a small recruitment drive for a ôRPö Forum Moderator Squad.
Requirements:
- A Passion for Roleplay within the Eve Universe
- A good grasp of EveÆs Prime Fiction
- Good communication skills including good written skills.
- Active participation in the discussions on the EVE Message Boards.
- A minimum of 3 months playing EVE.
- No forum bans issued, a low amount of warnings may be accepted.
- Experience using IRC is prefered but not a requirement. We ask you
to include your experience with IRC somewhere in the application.
- Access to an email client
- 18 years of age is a minimum, older is a merit.
You do not have be an expert in English, but you will have to know enough to communicate with it. You also have to be able to read and understand it enough to moderate effectively.
A well written application is a big plus! We look at other things as well, but good application has a better chance. Please do not apply with trial accounts - these applications will not be processed.
You can apply by clicking the ôInterstellar Svcs Deptö button under ôEVE INSIDERö in the menu to your left. If you have already submitted an application please update it. Make sure that you've checked the ôEVE Forum Mod (CRC)ö choice under question 5 (What area are you interested in volunteering for?).
You can read more about the EVE Volunteer Program (ISD) and EVE Forum Moderator Team (CRC) in the FAQ, Player Guide and on our website.
Our systems rely on you having the correct email in your account details. If you have an old email there that you don't use we will not be able to contact you. Make sure your email is updated under account management! Also, if you have already applied and you haven't heard from us, check if your email spam filter may have blocked our email to you (especially with web-based email systems such as hotmail, yahoo etc.). We make an effort to ensure that every application receives a reply.
its a good idea to copy your answers into something like notepad or word, since the application form has a tendency of resetting if you take a while to fill it in.
Looking forward to your applications! Post any questions you might have below!
Ps.: Put "RP SQUAD" somewhere into your application

Hello Nylian. Sorry for my late response to your question, but the Christmas Holidays got in my way. To answer your question, when joining ISD:CRC (the forum moderators) you will have to fullfil a minimum of 6-10 hours of moderation duty weekly. If you are spending more time on your moderation duty it is appreciated and of course wont go unnoticed.
If you have more questions, post them here.
regards

How do you check to make sure mods doesnt simply browse idly with their browsers? Or keep cache timeouts + refresh?
