So i see tools that tell what everything is and what reprocesses to what and what is needed to build what BUT what i am looking for is a tool that will tell me what I Ores i can use to get a certain amount of materials.
AN example of what i want is like this
I need to get 40m Trit 30m iso 20m pye 15m mex 20k zydrine 2k mega
You punch these numbers into the tool and it will tell you that you need to mine in the best m3/mineral setup what minerals you need to mine to get this stuff

Best way to fulfill a shopping list of materials is to buy them.
It really isn't practical, nor ISK effective, to gather all the materials yourself. |

But it is practical to buy compressed ore for logistical purposes and refine it with bonuses, or just buy the ore from local miners at good price. |

let me explain a bit. I am a miner but i just finished training up a new character with a good deal of building skills. So being able to mine out roughly what it takes to make anything in just a few hours other than a titan and that only takes a day or so makes mining a hole lot easier. but mining 2 ores doesn't give me everything i need so i would love to know what i can mine to make stuff for a nice little profit on what i mine. especially down here in null. |

thats easier said than done down here in the deep reseses of null sec where the jump freighters make 1 jump a week and thats to pick up some much needed stuff from jita. They normally only take a full cargo bay of r64 moon goo components to make money fro the alliance. i have tried but the only people down here that use ore mine what they need themselves so the price of most ores are about 3/4 high sec price and i do buy that but its not alot only people running mining frigs when they arn't ratting. |

You might find this helpful: https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/compression/
I would still mine the most profitable then import the rest. |

If it wasn't clear, he's looking for a compression tool. The above dude linked a good one, j have another that is highsec ore specific as well but I don't have bookmark on this device unfortunately. |

Sounds like you need to make a custom spread sheet to crunch the numbers for you.
But if you look at the ORE attributes you can see which give the greatest amount back of the mineral you need after reprocessing, bang all these into your spread sheet and away you go.

It's actually fairly hard to do in a spreadsheet given the fact that you need to do Linear Optimization to solve this type of problem. This is not as simple as just Linear Algebra, certain variations of the problem are actually NP hard. If you really felt the need to do it in a spreadsheet you can use: https://developers.google.com/optimization/docs/lp/add-on |

Of course its all dependant on your level of spread sheet ninja skills but I think the good place for the OP to start would be the wiki to grasp what minerals are achieved through refining.

The route you are going is moving things in the wrong direction. I.E. from ores to the minerals refined. The op is interested in the opposite direction. Not only that but in the ratio that takes the least amount of m3. Once you understand the problem at hand I think you will understand why it can be hard to do in a spreadsheet. Sometimes the right tool for the job is a computer program. |
