I want to make sure I am not missing something.
Is it real that as a CEO or Director I cant really see orders traders do in the name of the corporation in the wallet or corporation window ?
I mean, it is important that someone having "all the powers" can rule over orders made by people in the corp right ?

You can't see open market orders. Well, not directly. You can notice that an order was placed by the accompanying wallet journal entry for the escrow & broker fee.
You only can see them after the order has been executed in the wallet transactions.

Look at it that way: those are their personal order slots they "sacrifice" for the corporation.

You can view them under "corporation orders" in the market browser.
Unfortunately the interface will only cope with a small number of orders and is therefore largely useless. |

I saw the way we can more or less handle corp orders.
But about your post, there is no reason for considering it a sacrifice, because they are using corp money to buy and to pay the taxes, and probably earning money in some way by that.
My corp are all my alts, but when it is not, the way it is done, it is not very adviseable then to make someone corp trader unless it is a person who you can trust more than someone you give free access to all corp storage. And a good trader is by definition someone who you shouldnt trust.

Corrected. Apparently I had a problem with my clipboard shortcuts. lol

I dont know. Contracts have been very good to my business, both for getting help from third parties, and for organizing my alts. I have very little to complain about them.

The "outstanding" and "finished" contracts displays don't work properly with corp contracts. They appear to only pull X matches and then throw the rest away, which makes them more or less useless when you are handling any significant volume of contracts.
The corp market orders display has a similar problem. |

There is an intrinsec problem that runs over all aspects of EVE interface but are specially annoying to people dealing with more data than graphics, which is the delay.
Delayed information is a technique used to save computational need. So things dont work as they should because they simply dont refresh quickly enough. That, unfortunately only have real impact over some activities. And its perceived effect is only on fewer activities yet.
That could be solved by turning the data server to a different system, but it also would bring the problem of sync between them, which would also probably backfire a lot before working right.
Anyways, contracts as other things in market and corp window must be made with patience and planning. I dont complain, in real life, eletronic systems for those activities when online work more or less the same way.
When you are in the end part, you see the data from business running quickly because you are in the small blob.
The huge markets and controls have the same delayed info flow and sometimes you have to manually control your business in order to have immediate responses.
But as far as the idea in which it is built, there is nothing so bad about it.

I'm pretty sure this was fixed for a day during the last patch, but I'm not sure.
I believe it's to do with multiple character's corporation contracts. The workaround is to select Issued To or Issued By in the Action drop-down menu and all contracts on the Finished page will appear in the correct order.

I've tried fiddling with that menu option and it doesn't appear to help me. But if you have some arcane knowledge on this subject I'd be eager to learn it.
So we can be sure we're both talking about the same problem:
I have 5 Charon BPCs for sale at the moment, I can see them when I search contracts for Charon Blueprint.
However, on my outstanding contracts page I only have 1 Charon BPC for sale.
Finished items has a similar problem. |

I suspect we are talking about two different bugs on the same display.

So they're not being pushed to the second page on Outstanding, but simply are not there? That's something I haven't seen.
I've got about 180 corp contracts up and they're all shown under Outstanding but with somewhat weird date sorting across pages. Perhaps your extra ~120 contracts cause them to start clipping.

Perhaps your extra ~120 contracts cause them to start clipping. My theory is that the outstanding contracts break after 200 contracts. I suspect that the corp market orders display breaks at 200 too.
Finished contracts appears to beak sooner, but that could be due to the volume of contracts I turn over each day, which is something you may not experience with the relatively slow turn over of BPOs.

I can soon try and test 200 contracts, but my Corporation Orders tab on the market shows 346 orders.
What happens with your Finished contracts?

Elizabeth Norn wrote:What happens with your Finished contracts? I think the issue there is mostly the same terrible sorting problem you have, but because the number of finished contracts is so high (by comparison to outstanding contracts) it is a total trainwreck. |

Bad Bobby wrote:I get a huge number of pages due to the number of contracts I complete each day. The pages do not sort properly, so you cannot look at the first page and see the most recent completions, you have to page through to find them. The most recent completed contract could be many pages in. Flicking through the pages causes you to hit a server speed limit, so you have to wait 9 seconds before you can view another page.
Try with Issued By, I must have 5k+ Finished contracts and it shows the the newest contracts starting on the first page as shown in the screenshot I posted. Whether it's useful for high volume contracts, I don't know.
All these annoyances with contracts and yet we still bother, it can't be that bad . I would kill for a decent third party tool for viewing contract history, coupled with the IGB, you could avoid looking at your own contract history ever again.

A fair number of today's completed contracts will be on the first page, but some will not show unless you move to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... etc page. At the 10th page it tells me to wait X seconds and then generally ***** out completely.

Nice hijack. I was about to abandon the thread because I am too lazy to have more than 200 contracts. But I really think I am at a point in my life where I need to learn about tea. Seriously.
