In fleets that small you can add all members to your watch list, so I use a mixture of watching broadcasts and watching for damage in the watch list.
If running logistics for an armor fleet then working straight from the watchlist works great.
If it's a shield fleet then I generally like fleet members to broadcast as soon as they've been target painted/tackled/etc. so I can make sure I have them locked ready to rep immediately.

Usually there'll be some ships that I always lock up immediately (eg. FC, tackle, other logi) so then I also watch for damage on their target indicator, but that doesn't shows when the opponents have applied non-damage modules so broadcasts are still very useful.
With the recent changes to the fleet window, I colour broadcasts for armor and shields as red so I don't need to read, I can just react to the color appearing.
This is good advice.
Regarding positioning, get used to warping into fights separately and at range, and using your rep range to your advantage unless damps are on the field. Also, the Scimitar and Oneiros are the ideal T2 logi for solo work - if there are other logi pilots, the other two logi ships can be superior but are susceptible to EWAR. |

My experience revolved around broadcast window being the key tool.
In a small fleet, you can have the entirety in the watch list which helps for knowing when/if to deactivate reppers. Be sure to turn off target broadcasts and other offensive broadcasting as it can cause you to miss rep requests.
The deactivate reppers part, is because it is not good to have all reppers on all the time. Fire em all up to rep back to full, then run just what is needed to run to maintain target's tank. If enemies switch targets, you will not have to wait for a cycle down to start activate on the next. |
