The amount of small citadels in hisec will be equal or greater than the current amount of PoS in hisec. Give or take a few hundred. Keep in mind they come in sizes. Small is personal. Medium is corp sized. etc. etc. the current pos system will be scraped altogether. Smalls and mediums are what it seems ccp will be allowing in hisec (again not set in stone).
Expect some variation of them to be in a system near you. Advertising cheap spiced wine and free fedo's. Much like the corps that advertise that they mission run pvp 0.0 wh industry market nullsec access with a space lease programme that automagicly buys the ore you mined (for free) to leech off newbro's taxes and only provide a small portion of whats advertised in the recruitment add.
Container art is gonna make a huge comeback. I cant wait.

Do that and you won't have to worry about us. I would happily pay multiple times your mining permit fee, if the Savior and his agents could waive the display-it-on-my-bio bit. I have a irrational attachment to my bio~
That's unfortunate, because I am far too god damn lazy to look up a permit holder list. Much easier to just check the bio and leave the detection of forged permits to others.
Shoot everyone. Let the Saviour sort it out.
I enforce the New Haliama Code of Conduct via wardec ops. Ignorance of the law is no excuse - read about requirements for highsec miners at www.minerbumping.com

Oh yes, definitely. CCP has confirmed, however, that assets inside a citadel will not be destroyed or lootable at all. The dev blogs made that perfectly clear. The owners assets except his pod are perfectly safe.. It's more the dwelling I'm concerned about |

They are even trying to limit what bad stuff that could happen to 0.0 citadels. Magical stuff even. Upon destruction stuff instamagicly teleportrances to a location of your choosing. even titans. yeah, citadels are destructible but only to a certain degree. one that in a sense means everything is A.O.K.

What??
Dude I hope you are trolling me.
If not, I'm guessing I'll soon have access to all my stuff via my "stash". Thats good. It will make it easier to use the new guild bank and auction house features. Which, in turn, will allow me to craft things easier.
Next patch: upon having your hitpoints reduced to zero (we can't say death anymore), your pod appears at the "dockyard" and you fly it back to your ship's wreck, whereabout you respawn with all your loot. Also good. That means raid bosses will be easier as I won't have to replace all the epic and artifact weapons on my ships.

Leto, I can confirm that the 5 dev blogs I read on the subject made it 100% clear that ships and items in citadel structures WILL NOT be destroyed when a Citadel goes down. They didn't leave any room for interpretation. You will lose your pod, but all of your assets will be transported to another station. You will have to pay a fee equivalent based off the estimated market value of said assets (currently suggested to be 10%) to recover them. Even the ships inside citadels will not be destroyed. Modules fit to the citadel will be lootable, however.
Even I think that's preposterous. Wayyyyy too much. |

Not to kick you while you're down, but contrary to what the poster above me said, the asset safety applies to all 3 security zones, not just nullsec.

Well honestly its not the Security zone that bothers me (aside from the fact it's even possible inside highsec). It's the safety. This game is built upon the idea that losing something means its GONE. Now we teleport assets so people don't lose them?
I'm not so sure I'm interested in playing the game that way.

I'm not so sure I'm interested in playing the game that way. My understanding is that CCP is planning on having Citadels eventually replace outposts and, possibly, many NPC stations. Given that any items you have in these locations are currently safe from any danger, what they're proposing for Citadels makes sense to me; it's not adding safety, it's maintaining it, and slapping on a fee and a potential time delay as well. The risk comes not from individual pilots' items, but from the cost of the structures themselves. The XL ones are projected to cost as much as outposts or more when fully upgraded, yet be vulnerable to destruction, unlike outposts. That's a huge chunk of risk right there.
If Citadels end up only being glorified POSes though...yeah, I'd totally agree with you.

Stations in sov nullsec are susceptible to being captured (EDIT: thats even worse, because you still have it but cannot GET it), and therefore assets lost. POS' everywhere are subject to being reffed and destroyed while still containing billions of ISK in assets.
Anything that is BUILT by a player should be able to be DESTROYED by another.
