those modules that get the staking penalty, the same goes for the rigs

I see. So then those rigs that improve power grid and capacitor (just like RCUs and PDUs) have none, correct?

Alright. . .what about the Core Defence Purger. . .the one that gives a 20% increase to shield recharge rate?
If I throw 3 of those bad boys on do they stack against each other?

Now the question arises, does the stacking penalty, for lack of a better term, stack with penalties from modules of the same type?

i have not finished my testing on SISI... but so far
if the rig has a drawback... it is stacking penalized...
Electronics and Energy Grid rigs don't.

If the Missile RoF/Damage rigs have a stacking penalty that counts against the BCS then it will cause some changed setups. Likely you will use the rig for the damage bonus and use the low slot for PDS. If you passive tank you're probably better off using the rigs for the shield recharge/extending and using the lows for BCS so you avoid the SPR penalty which is worth than the rig penalty.

I was thinking along the same lines Shadarle, but am hoping to confirm whether the missile rigs penalty stacks without having to use up a rig myself, as I fly a Drake with a passive tank.

you can have a damage rig and a damage modules, they are different items to no stacking pen there, but two damage rigs will have a stack pen because it is two of the same items. But a damage rig and a rof rig don't have a stack as they are different rigs. so try out a dmg rig, two rof rig and three damage mods, i wounder what kind of damage boost that would be

Have you actually tested this fitting rigs in game?
Any link to official statement on this?

Last I checked it was the stat that was penalized, not the rig itself.
Which would mean modules and rigs cause the stacking penalty with each other. Which is why tracking comps and enhancers have a stacking penalty. Different module, same stats.

Yes, I believe it is the stat, not the module as well.
