I noticed something interesting today whilst looking at the map, which I've never seen before.

Looks like CCP created these systems within the past two months... I know many of the Jove systems are used by CCP as testing ground for several ideas and features, however I've never seen this before.
Something brewing in the horizon?

Thematically, it makes sense when you consider the Jove are responsible for the major technological advancements in-game, particularly the Capsuleers themselves.
But from an in-game perspective, if the Jove really are being opened for exploration, what does this mean for the game, and does it have some ties with the Sleepers? |

Since the sov is owned by Testing Alliance, with Testing Corporation having Test CEO, I'm not so sure.
I could be wrong, but it would seem to me that any storyline attached to the emergence of the Jove again would have a bit more flair to it. Seems like more of a testing ground than anything else.

UUA is the testing grounds CCP uses to do within TQ. What ever CCP releases in the near future regarding anything for players is not likely to have anything to do with UUA.
Perhaps they are doing some kind of tests with Sov, system effects, or maybe just with potentially new structures related to Sov that requires them to have systems with gates seperating them. It's to my understanding that normally systems within UUA are not gate connected and CCP chars hop around "Minecraft TP" style using internal dev tools, so they may have had to make some new ones with gates to run their science experiments. I doubt is has any real connection with lore, simply CCP hard at work is the more likely reasoning.

Perhaps the Jove are now experimenting with new jump gate technology (player built stargates) since according to the 'Emergent Threats' video their entire stargate system had recently shut down.
As for CCP announcing stuff, lately they haven't been saying anything until after the fact, just like CarolineGÇÖs Star which was named after the player who first reported it.

I never found until 3 years later that Jove was used for the Alliance tournament, and now I read , for some testing.
I thought the Alliances Tournaments were held on separate servers.
I knew there was Test Servers like Singularity and so on... I knew that those were the servers used for testing by CCP. Perhaps the Jove regions on those servers are used for testing?
Are the Alliances Tournaments held on the Tranquility server with Lag risk, or on the test servers or other servers? (Even if held in the Jove region. It is normal that system phase of design overlap one another.) |

AT is on the real TQ server, with real assets. There's never been any lag or anything that I've experienced in my time playing in the tournament, nor that I've heard of from other players. |

The CCP video 'Emergent Threats', which was released about 5 months ago, showed the entire Jove stargate system going offline.

Those systems have always been there - and even when we first noticed all of the offline gates, those were still active. It's testing space, and nothing that's been lore-important insofar.
They never went offline, but the origins of the explosion and rest of them going offline is what we should keep looking at
