A long long time ago, in a galaxy that wasn't so ****** up by sov wars, I created a tool called EveNav that allowed one to lookup most profitable trade runs from exported market data.
I recently found the code again and decided to update it for the latest SDE.
This is alpha software at this current state but it's fully functional.
http://www.reisergames.com/evenav/EveNav Setup.exe
How to use:
Run the exe to extract the files (somewhere). Run EveNav.exe from the extracted files. Once the application runs, press "Start". Export some data from the market. Go in-game and navigate your IGB to http://localhost:8080 Punch in your minimum cargo volume you'll accept. Punch in your maximum cargo space. Finally, enter in how much ISK you have for purchasing. Click on "Get Jobs" and wait a few moments.

I'll keep this thread updated when I have updates to share. |

Updated to a clickonce installer as per some user recommendations. Ignore the warning about it being untrusted, I'm not going to fork out $500/yr for a code signing certificate.

This will make getting updates easier as it will be automatic. |

windows 10 hates this program
This appears to be very much like Navbot which you can find here https://code.google.com/p/navbot/ and here is where i request it being rebuilt https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=432855 FOR ISK!!!!
As I slipped my finger slowly inside her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter.
I took my finger back out and within seconds she was going down on me.
"I really need a new boat," I thought to myself.

If you would please try again, if it still persists, please contact me in-game and I'll work through it with you.
Indeed this IS very much like Navbot. I found navbot back in 2008 or so and modified it (as it looked to be unsupported at the time) to make EveNav 1.0 I added a bunch of features including caching, faster jump route lookups, across region lookups, etc.
Navbot was an amazing tool and I'm kinda doing this in their spirit. If the Navbot maintainer ever shows interest in maintaining Navbot, then I'll propose a merge.
One thing that Navbot doesn't have that was included just last night was the ability to share your market data with other users of the software. When you run EveNav now, it will show you how many peers are on the network. Data that is exported from the marketplace will be shared across ALL instances of EveNav. |

When you say trade run, is it basically looking at price differentials between regions? As a data mining concern that sounds very interesting! Production calculations are essentially a function of cost, time, volume and competition, and there's no reason why the same couldn't be done as a trade program.

Yes, for trade goods, it scans and analyzes the market data exports they shares them across the network. Users can find the most profitable trade run of those exports to make isk hauling trade goods. Buy low, sell high, account for volume, profit. |

Added a note in first post about the inclusion of a network backend and data sharing along with cross-region trade routes.
Now, you can get data from other regions and find the best trade routes across regions starting with the one your in. |

Amely Miles wrote:so whats the next thing your fixing and or updating on this great program? The ability to see what market data you have, browse that market data, compare etc. From within the IGB interface. So, this isn't for the cargo run finder part but just to see what data you have (and possibly find a diamond in the ruff across regions).
I'm also implementing two way communication with Eve-Central and others like it to fill gaps. |

I'd suggest not developing for the IGB.
Because it will be going away, at some point. (work is ongoing, to replace the things it provides atm. once the important points have been hit, it's gone)

I understand that, but this is to view html from within the eve client. If they drop the in-game browser, than no harm no foul as you can still access the application from chrome, firefox, ie, etc.
And *when* the IGB goes away, then I'll refactor. |

would it not be better to pull the market data from crest/eve-central rather than having to have 2 clients in separate regions?

Pretty much this, market data is in CREST with a maximum of a 5 minute delay. Should be good enough for this.

If crest had better documentation, maybe I would use it. But I can't seem to get anything but the averages from crest. |
