The in game mechanics on this game are rubbish especially the combat.
I've spend the last few days being followed everywhere by psychic tracker agents that know my every move that's how rubbish this game is.
It then proceeds two fools going round in circles round my worthless ship with warp disrupters the game is basically boring as hell as the in game combat is trash where you cant fight back.
The game even comes with the most stupid rules imaginable who ever heard of a police force that couldn't be killed and the fact you cant shoot a player who's red in Hi-sec. And police that warp millions of AU's through use of psychic powers that miraculously told them someone was being shot at.
If your a rookie forget this game its full of people with skill points assigned to them through years of play and there is no way to kill them which makes for a completely pointless game.
bombs that cant be fired in hisec BORING! ECM's that cant be fired in hisec BORING! players that cant be killed in hisec BORING! Skilling up one skill at a time over days months and years BORING! All of the deployable structures serve no use whatsoever.
If your a DEV reading this your useless learn some common sense.
If your a player don't bother replying to this I'm not interested in your stupid opinions this is directed at the DEV's

This is a new breed of rant.
It rants about the game favoring veterans over newbs too much (a common rant). Then it rants against bombs not being able to be used in highsec, which is a mechanic implemented SOLELY to reduce the ability of high skillpoint players to farm kills in highsec.
Translating it:
CCP THIS THING IS BAD SO NERF IT AND BUFF IT PS YOU ARE BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD

Your alliance is at war, you failed to mention that. You can definitely shoot at people who are wartargets, as the guys that killed you were, without turning the safety off.
Eve is a PvP game, PvP can happen anywhere to anybody and there's often no consent involved, such is the nature of the beast. If you can't handle that feel free to leave and play another game.

If you think the game sucks so bad why not just stop playing it? I don't understand the rant. Is someone holding a gun to your head forcing you to play it?
As far as low skill points preventing your from being awesome I suggest that you watch this.
I love linking that video to players that say that they can't win without skill points when that guy clearly does. So at some point in that video you'll have to admit that it's not the game that sucks it's you that sucks.
There's no short cut to being good at PvP in Eve. Even someone giving you a high skill point character won't help. You have to learn the game. You don't need skill points you need experience.
It seems you prefer games that are simple enough to be mastered in one afternoon. The good news for you is that there are a lot of games out there like that. I suggest you go play one of those. |

i'd seen this rant before.
the blackbird is truly unique. a ship to be savoured and admired to the incredible potential it lacks. an Orthrus, piloted on around a month of skill training, truly a blessing to those with PLEX.
However, I am amazed and optimistic that his Garmur appears to have survived to this day.

Pretty much every statement you made in your rant is untrue.
Just because you don't know how something works does not mean it is broken.
You may want to park your screaming sense of entitlement and victim complex at the door and consider whether this is really a game you want to play.

There are some problems with the way you are fitting ships, probably because you have misunderstood the roles of certain hulls. The general rule is that you want to pick a hull for a certain task based on it's bonuses and then you fit the modules you need to actually do the thing. I would also not leave slots empty. With some of your fits, I can't even work out what you were trying to do. You appear to be a tad obsessed with avoiding being scrammed at the cost of being able to actually do things.
I would strongly recommend joining an in-game help channel and asking for advice. I would also make sure to check your overview settings, maybe you aren't noticing war targets in local? Instead of fitting warp core stabs and praying, it makes more sense to keep an eye on D-Scan and local and just GTFO when a war target lands.
Also, one thing I always do when I get blown up is to open a private convo with the player who killed you and ask what I did wrong. If you are polite, you would be amazed at how much you learn doing this. |

I don't like tracker agents either, too easy to use them as a griefing tool and blame it on just playing the game.

Since every one else has the kill board aspect covered let's just go this way. You can klill anyone in high sec that you choose to there is nothing that stops you. But if you choose to undertake such an uncivilized activity in the "civilized" regions of space you will pay a price for it. Don't like that go to low or nul.
You can shoot anyone in high sec that is red and the best part if you will not face the wrath of Concord for doing so.
In times past it was possible to kill Concord, CCP determined that was a bad thing considering the role Concord plays in the game so they changed it.
ANd now the whole skills thing. See you hate it, yet it is one of the very best parts of EvE because it balances character skill level out. Those who have a few hours a week can gain character skills at the same rate as those that can play several hours every day. If that is a problem for you then quit.

I've been playing the game doing pretty much just PVP since 2011.... and last night I got killed in a solo fight by a 10-day old new character. Admittedly it was because I got cocky (meta-fit atron trying to take on his catalyst solo because he was new), but it is possible. |

It's not the game, mate, it's you.
First of all, regarding being able to escape with warp stabilizers... the stats of every ship are common knowledge, and the PVP guy hunting you knows exactly how many low slots each ship has, and the maximum number of stabilizers that you can put in, and he will just bring enough friends to overcome that. In addition, the warp core stabilizer module actually has huge drawbacks when it comes to fighting; it makes it almost impossible for you to target anyone. In any case, you are better off fitting your ship for a PVP fight, than fitting it for "run away", because a. you may actually kill someone before you die, and b. your ship will have more defenses.
Second, each ship has a purpose, and a hint is given in the ship description. People take the ship bonus and overpower the hell out of it, installing only modules, rigs, and even implants to multiply that ship bonus only. The Blackbird, seriously, ECM Jammers are its only purpose, and you don't even think about weapons, or even defenses, which means you have to rely on others to defend you, as the point of the ship is to help your friends by jamming the enemy. NOT a solo ship, not a PVE ship.
Third, as you can see, you can rant all you want but your kills and deaths are automatically collected and are public, and you can't argue with your kill/death ratio. So, if you want to learn, google up some guides; all you have to do is search for "eve online blackbird" and quite a few guides pop up, same for any other ship. Otherwise if you're dissatisfied and want to quit, just do that. No sense posting this foolishness. |
