Attack of the Killer Drones - ST 60 (3 of 3)
Mission briefing The last drone memory chip I need you to fetch is ST 60's. The '60 is my finest drone of the ST series, a prototype, and certainly a force to be reckoned with. I think you might have to find some friends to help you take it on GÇň yes, it's really that tough, if I do say so myself.
It's currently orbiting a rogue drone installation near Hjoramold XII Moon I, located deep within what we call "Glittermore," the xenon gas cloud of Hjoramold XII. It's a very hostile part of space, but a magnificent sight nonetheless and one frequented by tourists. Good luck finding those drones, Gayle Rowen.
This mission expires at 2015.09.25 16:50
This is an important mission, which will have significant impact on your faction standings.
Attack of the Killer Drones - ST 60 (3 of 3) Objectives The following objectives must be completed to finish the mission:
Basically there is no rogue drone to be seen at plaent XII Moon 1, I dont see how a drone from my mission can be there for everyone becuase everyone can get to that location the guide says.
ive check all veiws to find it, done scans etc. There is no warp to link from the journel, just tells you to goto moon 1 planet XII, it mentions glittermore and a gas cloud, but i see nothing.
I was going to raise a ticket as ive spent all day on this now, but i ask here first, ok thanks |

most of the cosmos missions are in complexes that are open to the public. is there a beacon or acceleration gate at the moon? Also can try checking contracts for the drop. maybe play with overview settings and see what else is there?
either that or put the ticket in. I don't know that the cosmos are run often enough for people here to know what to do

I'd say ticket time. there doesn't seem to be anything on grid, and nothing on any neighboring grids. All the guides seem to suggest you can warp to something on grid.

The GM's should know that a few years ago CCP updated the graphics on Planets which basically broke all of the sites located near them. Those sites were supposedly moved to new locations within their systems.
Unfortunately I don't know where it is now since I completed that Cosmos mission before the graphics update.
Good luck to you.

Have you tried stripping naked in your pod, covering yourself with real glitter, and singing the songs from 'Phantom of the Opera'' at full volume while approaching the mission area?
I have found that that is the only way to make this ~fabulous~ drone appear!
e: I am also surprised the GM didn't really offer much in the way of real help - as DeMichael said, they are supposed to be the 'gameplay experts'!

I think you just got unlucky.
The spawn of drones is not tied to your mission, it is a permanent placement and the drones respawn at some random interval after they have been killed.
On one hand this is a good thing as it enables all pilots to find them, you don't need fancy scanning skills or probe bonused ships.
On the other hand it means that absolutely anyone can come along and kill / loot / salvage the drones at any time.
So you can be unlucky enough that there is never a full spawn of drones on site when you are online.
I have just taken a trip to Hjoramold as these COSMOS missions are somewhat of a hobby of mine, when I warped to P XII M 1 I found the full spawn of drones approx 200km off the warp in.
I have put the ST60 Memory chip on contract for you, free of charge.
Have fun. |

my next comment was going to be try again after downtime. That said if people showed up and just killed it randomly, I would expect to see some st 60 chips on contracts. Also it is a little strange as the guides seem to suggest there is a structure, and I didn't see one. With the caldari cosmos Zvarin Karsha respawns rather quickly, and there are usually a bunch up on contracts. And most of the complexes respawn in pretty quick order.
when I was there the other day there was nothing at the moon. I even tried burning off grid in most directions, as I know some grids get smushed sometimes.

There is / was a bunker plus a couple of walkway type structures. People may be killing them, they may despawn after the drones are killed I didn't take much notice. |

right now, there are seven blue drone wrecks there, one of which is an ST 60 wreck. Also there: a "Bunker" and three "Couplings."
Distance: 217km from the warp-in coming from Barkrik, 9 o'clock low. |

Sooo just a recap : the Cosmos site location (Hjoramold XII Moon I) for the Cosmos mission (Attack Of The Rogue Drones - ST 60), offered by Minmatar Cosmos Agent Sungur Tyrfin, is still good.
Just have to recheck the site if no NPC's are present since the site beacon is always active in the Overview which allows public access.

Let me add something, and this is well known to PVPers; but sometimes the grid can break and you won't see something that should be there. For instance, a group of us were pelting stones at a POCO while flying around it. We noticed some of us would disappear if we went over ~20km away from the structure. The guys that we couldn't see, also couldn't see us; but could still see the POCO.

This is not a site with an overview beacon, it is not a site that has a probe signature, its just a bunch of rogue drones and a couple of structures (LCO's) sat in space for anyone to see.
This is not one of those sites that got messed up by the implementation of the new scanning mechanics (however many years ago that was now).
If you warp to planet 12, moon 1 and do not see any drones or LCO's then I would bet on one of the following.
someone has recently killed them all and you need to wait for a respawn someone has messed with the grid you do not have deadspace rogue drone's set to show on your overview |

Anyway according to intel, the site location is static and always active, just needs time to reset.

DMC the agent tells you were to go, however I've been to that moon twice now and didn't see a thing either time. I have to wonder what the respawn time is and if it is anywhere near what would be considered a reasonable time.
First time out was when the op first posted, and second time was after Jocca Quinn went over and killed it. so probably just caught it between respawns, but it makes me wonder how long that respawn is

We haven't been playing EVE for a few weeks or more for various reasons but isn't Hjoramold the system where about half a dozen COSMOS mission locations have to be probed down If I'm recollecting correctly then once you have those locations bookmarked they don't change ever and you can go there again to do the missions with alts etc.
PS the locations I refer to have to be probed down with probes and a good ship, equipment, and skills are required.
Regarding DeMichael's comment there are not a lot of people doing COSMOS missions but there are quite a few regulars doing them who 'farm' the key objects required to complete the COSMOS missions. They then put the items up on contracts for quite large sums of ISK. I have found though if you contact them they will sell multiples of the items at lower prices. So dependent on your time zone it can be tricky to complete the COSMOS missions. Generally the best option is to research the items needed that can be farmed and gather those first BEFORE starting to actually accept the COSMOS missions. Otherwise you could lose the mission bonus rewards, and in a worst case scenario, have the missions fail due to farmers stopping you completing the missions. The farmers operate for multiple hours at a time so it can really **** you up and be extremely annoying.

I just checked my notes and the others were correct about it being farmable at Hjoramold XII - I. So best to get there immediately after DT or as I said before collect all the key objects up beforehand whenever possible. There is only one mission I think where you have to kill the rats as well so this method works on most of them.
I think the respawn time is about an hour on most of these sites. Waiting an hour for another one to arrive helps you remember these things.
