Originally by: Erfnam Ouch! What was the bounty tally and quality of loot? I imagine hundreds of BSes yielding over 100m ISK in bounties plus loot.
Virtually no loot, a few hundered units of salvage componants. It probabaly was over 100mil in bounties. Split so many ways over so many attempts didn't really ammount to much per person.
There was minable ore at the first stage of the complex. Some or virtually every ore type in game, including Bistot. The only funny moment after we opened the can was when General Tulkas said "Hey guys, I just warped into stage one of the complex again. I think I figured out what the Miner I is for".

The Bounties split between all of us where nothing to write home about, and the loot was junk, not a single faction item in the thing. It could have at least dropped some tags and ammo like most of the faction belt spawns we've been getting latly
I have put in a petition on this, after all the Centus Dread Lords/Centum Tyrants, booby trapped AF killing structurs, T2 spider drones, and dread class weapons we had to cut through to get to that junk, I find it absurd. I personnaly lost 2 AF's, a Geddon, and a perfectly good pair of pants when those Giga beams spawned. My only advice is that if you ever come across the dreaded green text run away and never look back.

To be fair, I think we should have given up hope when the POS guns started repping themself. That was clearly a sign that it was an unholy place.

Bounties ended up being approximately 3 million for each player on the successful run.
Kudos to the dungeon design team for having such foresight into how to build a beast of a complex. This thing was brilliant and brutal and fun, as such a thing should be.
Also, kudos to the designers for the visuals of the complex. When my systems wasn't in slideshow, the levels looked great!
Echoing my esteemed corp mates' posts on the last point again. If *that* was the reward we were meant to get, I would suggest that maybe next time a complex designer could instead decloak beside us, flip us the bird and then give us a /heal 0 ;)

Originally by: Commander Nikolas We knew full well that lvl 4 missions in 1.0 space drop centus-X large armor reps, officer mods, and billions upon billions of ISK of loot for missions that don't even compair to this lvl of difficulty.
Thanks for the fun story (and sorry to hear the loot was phenomenally crap), but I'm calling bull**** on this one -- assuming it's not meant to be a joke.
Lvl4 missions never, ever drop officer loot and very, very rarely drop faction loot (and never any *good* faction loot). The isk/hour is much less than 0.0 ratting, as is the chance for faction loot. Try them sometime, they might give you the same "I spent all that time for *this*?" feeling as that complex did. Billions upon billions of loot from missions? Don't make me laugh.

Holy ******* ****.
Edit - On second thought, if I were a developer into allowing griefing in my game, why not grief the most powerful alliances with bait like this?

Great story! And my condolences
Naturally it'd be interessting to know if other's had a similar "lucky" experience?
BTW my third lvl 4 mission (out of roughly 100 up to now) had a Dread Guristas Scorp in. First and only faction loot I ever got.

Thanks for relaying this story to us. I'm sure CCP's knee jerk reaction will be something along the lines of "end loot is random and not always the same from complex to complex" and blah blah blah.
Forget it, this is one are I'll avoid and advise everyone else to as well. There's plenty of other ways to get blow'd up than sick impossible NPCs who offer nothing more than a laser beam up your ass and a shot of warm Quafe

this seriously needs looking into, I have found several hidden complexes now, of all types, and none of them have been worth doing.
the asteroid belts promise so much but fail to deliver due to the size of the rocks compared to what its takes to mine them with the triggered spawns etc
2 hacking sites so far, whilst sucessfully hacked, gave nothing at all
A 2 level deadspace with similar nasty triggers and anti solo measures, including a structure with a 6000dmg EM smartbomb, dropped t1 junk only
2 level drone complex, no loot, no bounty, no salvage, just alloys was setup to block haulers
I guess I'm just glad not to have stumbled on anything as big as described by the OP

I do understand the pain for the losses suffered. But be proud of the fact that you pulled it of in the end. And enjoy the "fun" that you had while trying to beat it.
As a corp we did a serp plex a week or 2 ago. And it wasn't as hard as your plex but it also was very hard to pull of and the loot wasn't very rewarding either. But we had a very fun evening and that's what games are about.

I simply can not believe how much CCP is dropping the ball on.... virtually everything lately.
Salvaging/Rigs (slightly 'fixed' now) Invention (nearly impossible to get the interfaces) Exploration (risk vs reward ? Anyone ?) Contracts (scams & impossible to buy anything unless you're in same region) Seamless buggy map Ship zoom-ins every jump
Was there anything else in Kali, err Revelations ? Oh yea, the new ships...
Seriously guys, get your heads out of card games and fix your goddarned ONLINE GAME.

Why?
Because we DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.

You sure that can dint get ninja looted ? sounds like there where a few peeps around at the end.. this was a major issue for group play on the last MMO i played.
I dont mean to dis your mates or anything, its just that, well, its not an impossiblity.. simillar happened to me actually :: --- Few ppl show up for an outing.. Everybody is trying there best to win, yet one POS ganks the treasure at the end, and they were so wired to gank the corpse they dint contribute all that much towards the goal.. --- IDK, im not sure about how EVE goes about rewarding group play and/or policing it.. that last MMO improved a bit later on by featuring loot messages, and auto group loot dispersion

This is what im hearing from all exploration plex's.Very very hard and rewards that match 0.0 ratting solo for 20 minutes.
Exploration,Another one of CCP's great jokes.Good to know thousands of dollars and man hours were put into something nobody will ever really wan't to do.
Good job CCP nobody does it quite like you. ---
