Greetings prospective Champions,
As Capsuleer Emissary to the Court Chamberlain, I am charged with speaking on behalf of Chamberlain Haromi in all matters related to the Imperial Succession Trials.
The outline has been set, and further rules on the specifics of the Amarr Championships will be announced in due time. However, at this stage, I offer this open floor for questions and comments regarding the task set out for those who wish to represent their chosen Heir on the field of battle.
The Heir Apparent of each of the six Royal Houses of Amarr has made an announcement via their House Steward, detailing their search for captains worthy of the trial to become the champion that hoists their colors. You can find their respective announcements on the Intergalactic Summit in the following list, and can apply to represent your chosen Heir in the respective thread.
Please be aware that all general questions regarding the Amarr Championships should be placed in this thread, and that the Court Chamberlain has requested special permission from Aux Aliette, ISG Communications Director for the Communications Relay Committee, to remove any content from the above listed announcements that does not constitute an application to represent the respective Heir.
While ground rules have been set by the Court Chamberlain to decide the format of the combat and the base eligibility of combatants, each Heir may have their own specific requirements that a pilot may have to fulfill in order to be selected for participation.
Ensure that you digest their instructions and requirements fully before applying to fight on their behalf.
In addition to this, a word of caution to all participants:
Enforcement of the rules of the Amarr Championships will be absolute, and under the gaze of God, the Court Chamberlain will ensure that the Succession Trials stay true to the sanctity of the Holy Imperial Throne.
There will be a zero tolerance approach to corruption, attempted collusion, and any other tomfoolery that may occur as a result of capsuleer involvement. Any instances of such behavior will be fully investigated, and any offenders eliminated.
In the coming months, Imperial vessels of all classes and origins will take to the stars, converging on the field of battle to decide the outcome of the Succession Trials.
Before the eyes of God, this tournament will test each pilot selected to their very core, ensuring survival of only the most adept in combat.
The Court Chamberlain extends his best wishes to all those who compete.
Regards,
Cardinal Sourem Itharen Capsuleer Emissary to the Court Chamberlain |

Emissary, what are your thoughts on the possibility of Jamyl Sarum returning from the dead once again?
My worry is that she may return as a Drifter-controlled entity hostile to not only the Amarr Empire but to all the empires. Was her corpse recovered from the field of battle?

To my understanding, no, it was not.
Our peoples have stared extinction in the eye; but we have spat in that eye and stood to fight with valor and undying loyalty to our culture and our kin. Our struggle is as one, so let us struggle together.

Emissary, what sort of plans has the Amarr Empire put in place to counter the inevitable backlash to the overly-narrow ship restrictions for this tournament? While perhaps you felt this might serve as an adverisement for the various Amarr shipyards, if anything I feel it will turn people away; showing such disregard towards the technical superiority in various other weapon systems, defensive technologies and especialyl electronic warfare, of non-Amarr shipyards, seems rather reckless at a time when the empires need capsuleer support more than ever... |

Quiet yourself peasant. The Amarr navy and its warships are the mightest weapons New Eden has even seen, coward weaponry will never be used in a Succession trial and you will keep talks of your dampeners and gutless Electronic disruptive devices to yourself.
Emissary accept my apologies for the words that have been spoken today.

Congratulations on making such a bold statement, as Jamyl maybe gone, her ethos still lives in a few. If only this had been enforced some 12 years ago. Just saying.

May His Royal Highness the Heir Yonis Ardishapur be triumphant in these trials. It is clear from the inclusion of King Khanid in spite of his violation of the Shathol'Syn and hs rebellion against Amarr that the Empire needs Lord Ardishapur now more than ever.

It pleases me to no end to see that the Court Chamberlain has elected to allow Lord Khanid to be represented in the Succession Trials. The people of Khanid are also Amarrians, are they not? They should be represented.

If I recall properly, it was Jamyl Sarum that broke the long-lived tradition of purity: to never clone oneself as the capsuleers have been doing for these many years. For all we know, Former Empress Sarum could be very well alive, waiting in hiding for the day of the Succession Trails to return.
I wish the Amarr empire peace in this time and hope for no drifter involvement during this transitional period. |

Hello. I have a question. Is it true this excerpt from the book "EVE: The Empyrean Agay" Tony Gonzales?
"Jamyl Sarum, along with the other heirs, were trained capsuleers. And when the champion representing the Doriam Kor-Azor won the Succession Trails to determine who would be crowned next, the heirs all followed through with the suicide ritual before a broadcast audience of trillions. Self-destructing their ships one by one, the grim site of heir's corpses floating in spacewase was evidence enough of their devoted compliance with tradition. But when the battleshp commanded by Jamyl Sarum exploded, there was no corpse to be found. Only its shattered hulk remained, leaving many to wonder if they had witnessed a miracle, or if she had defiled the holiest of rituals by allowing herself to be cloned. That day was more than four years ago, and New Eden had changed a great deal since."
If this is true, then Jamyl Sarum alive. |

Quote:During this time, Jamyl also discovered she was capsule-compatible. Understanding the great power the capsule would provide, she began training for its use. The other Heirs followed suit, even after the capsule and cloning technology were joined. As with the other Heirs, however, Jamyl forswore a clone, citing the doctrine of Sacred Flesh Yes. She was one of the earliest capsuleer among the heirs. The rest of heirs follow its example.
Quote: If this is true, then Jamyl Sarum alive.
No, not alive. For this and came up with "Drifter" With interlocking consciousnesses. What would kill capsuleer. Since just do not kill. Scientist killed to demonstrate this ability. P.s Goes rewriting of Lor scenario B (Jamyl dies choose the new Emperor) Scenario A was too complicated and less profitable. (Jamyl alive and become healthy Empress)

Are you peasants aware that you are talking to the very noble lady who works for Court Chamberlain? You do not address her ladyship by "emissary" You see clearly that she also holds the title of cardinal, so proper way to address is "My lady" or "Your Eminence" |

Greetings your Eminence, Sourem Itharen.
I wish you every success in enforcing the rules of this sacred competition and I have every confidence you will succeed in making of this holy contest a magnificent tribute to the will of God. I have noticed some of the would-be champions are have given themselves false titles, claiming to be Lords of Amarr and Khanid, I trust your investigators will uncover their lies as easily as my own operatives have, and judge them accordingly.

Salutations O' Holy Emissary,
If I get chosen as champion to represent one of our Illustrious Houses will there be any issues if the 3 pilots I wish to fight along-side had pledged themselves to other houses but failed to gain their houses favor?

Your Emminence, I also find this question to be relevant, and wish for a ruling.
In addition, in light of the 24 hour time limit within which a chosen champion may submit their team members for consideration, will there be any allowances made in the event a House Steward or Heir rejects one or more of the champion's submitted team members?

This is a championship for those of Amarr faith, and will decide the future of the Empire and her subjects.
The Court Chamberlain sees no more relevant test of faith and ability, than to have the victorious champion be decided via the use of our great Empire's technology. |

The only backlash that would occur would be from those whose interests lie outside of Amarr, and thus should have no part in this trial.
It is interesting to see so many applications from people claiming loyalty to Amarr, yet whose time is spent fighting wars for non-Amarrian entities, for non-Amarrian purposes, in faith to non-Amarrian beliefs.

There are no rules that would prevent a pilot who had made a failed bid to represent a house from becoming a retainer to prospective champion who was selected to represent an heir.
