That would not work, you can see your own transactions logs, CCP can see them all and follow the isk flow. CCP will investigate. they can see if and how many isk have been transfered.

Perhaps this thread get a lock for discussing RMT, and rumor mongering?
There is more chance the Op bought is with the intent of using it, mentioned it to a corpie or some one else close, who informed the Op of the risk of a CCP induced biomass, thus prompting the Op to "out" the isk seller to CCP and then attempt to gain favour in the court of public opinion.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the alliances harbor RMT'ers. Or perhaps they lease out their space to RMT'ers.
I've never really gotten into the whole 0.0 alliance politics, but as I understand that use to be a big thing. Alliance renting out space, or harboring RMT'ers. |

It's far from unique to "alliances". Indeed, hi-sec is a much better place to obfuscate RMT dealings, due to the volume and complexity of trade. And the availability of NPC stations to facilitate them between 'strangers'.

I had a reply from the security team about it and now we're almost a month later and that isk seller is not only still selling isk, but he hasn't even been banned because his character that delivered the isk is still logging in and making more deliveries.
He has sold another 100+ bill of isk at least since CCP got the report. All seems very odd.
They didn't even take the isk I purchased away from me.
best thing you could do is just keep buying isk from this person and run your real LEGAL isk doubling @ jita lokal, thus would clean up your reputation |

CCP IS free...not are....CCP is ONE corporation, not two or more. Two or more - plural. One - singular. We may be dumb in some parts, but we do know subject/verb agreement. That being said. This is really flakey. Like the guy said, you break the rules then rat on someone for breaking the rules. What saintly deed was done here? What's odder is you come in here and tell the world about it. Now, the world has this indelible impression that YOU left it...not they/or them. World is singular. There may be a lot of people ON It, but there still is only one. You wouldn't say "The World ARE..." stop saying CCP ARE....geez.
Oh good christ. This trollopsism again.
Listen, this is how it works:
There are legitimate differences in how standard U.S. English and standard British English work.
It has nothing to do with your stupid idea about what you think seems to be correct. It has everything to do with custom.
Let's not forget that many of our better customs came from the British, and the Germans before that, and the blah and the blah before all that.
There are legitimate reasons to think of a corporation as either a singular or a plural noun.
Most of the time, we, in the U.S., think of a corporation as a single entity. But we don't always. The fact that others think of it grammatically as a collection of people isn't something to call out as stupid.
Hey, maybe there's even a lesson there to be learned. Perhaps we should spend a bit less time thinking of corps as individual people.
Regardless, you can read any usage manual you can shake a stick at, and it will tell you . . . what? That in the U.S., we do things a certain way some times.
No usage dictionary talks about or prescribes a usage coming from other modes of speech and makes a claim of rightness about them.
So pardon me if I tell you to go have your way with yourself. You don't know jack diddle about how dictionaries are made. Nor about how they ought to be read.
I honestly feel like I just read fifty shades of dumb. --CCP Falcon

What's your problem? What he says is true. There are isk sellers still selling isk after ccp ban or removes the isk fromm the buyers. They don't seem to ban the sellers which is very very dubious. I strongly believe that ccp don't ban them so they can set up the people buying them and catch them. They know who the the sellers are so all they need to do is more monitor themy and easily catch the buyers. |

The problem is that this sleuthing NPC alt non-entity broke CCP's rules himself in pursuit of supposedly defending those rules (and then publicly announced that he'd done just that).
They do indeed ban ISK sellers, but (rightly) they don't always publicise it - usually in order to cast a wide a net as possible and remove as much of the RMT network as they can at one time (as you say). They appear to be much more concerned with catching and removing the sellers than punishing the buyers, though of course they do indeed punish the buyers. Buyer punishment appears to be far more lenient than seller punishment.
The fact that they don't run around screaming "Hey guys, we've just banned 20k ISK peddlers!" (though this did occasionally manifest itself in QEN/CCP announcements) doesn't necessarily mean that they're not doing anything.
Were you around pre-2010? Jita local was still unreadable, but instead of contract scams it was full of people hawking ISK in OOG sites. Now, there's absolutely nothing like that at all. Seems to me that CCP are indeed operating, albeit opaquely.
Black swans, epistemology, and all that.

The only people that are allowed to break the rules we have to abide by with regards to RMT are CCP themselves, the RMT clause in the EULA only works one way. I have no doubt that Team Security probably rate quite highly on the ISK buyers scoreboard.

OP was "dating" a "girl" he met on EvE.
It was cute and sweet.
After 2 days of an incredibly heavy text-filled relationship about what both parties would do to each other, Girlfriend makes her financial plight known, hoping not to scare away this love interest.
OP, being valiant and noble, states he could not let this damsel remain in distress. Girlfriend acknowledges the sentiment of OP's charity but cannot accept it all without reciprocation due to her moral upbringing. Instead offers to exchange a "fair" amount of ISK for OP's dollars.
OP buys 6 billion isk for $100 to help his Girlfriend pay her rent so she wont end up homeless and unable to chat with him on steam messenger and tell him all the really interesting things she wants to do to him. OP is happy, girlfriend is happy. The happiness is culminated in a steamy chat session where imaginations are fulfilled.
The next day, Girlfriend lets it slip that he's actually a dude. OP is a bigot and hates gays(understandably of course) and angry that he let himself be conned by a guy pretending to be a girl who was obviously just preying on his vulnerabilities in an effort to secure an ISK buyer.
OP is mad.
OP is getting revenge on his "ex-gf" by constantly reporting to CCP that he bought ISK from his ex to get him banned.
And here we all are. |
