I have noticed that a lot of Pilots really don't want to spend the time mining and could be a reason why they quit the environment at an early age. I suggest that new Pilots be able to purchase bulk packages of minerals at a reduced cost compared to the market value for the mineral.
Take Tritanium for example. Its value is between 3.90 and 5.00 ISK per unit. A Rookie could purchase bulk quantities of Trit for lets say 2.50 market value but using real money where they could then sell it on the market to make a nice but not explosive margin of profit.
A bulk purchase would come in quantities of 100,000k units for $2.00, 200,000k for $3.00 and 500,000k for $5.00 The rookie player would then have a month to purchase Trit Bulk Mineral Packages to advance their careers more rapidly than mining a belt.
Other bulk mineral package plans for money could help speed along production of corporate goals. Normal bulk package plans would run for three days each month where each player could purchase up to five bulk packages of any mineral with a normal paying account for money.
The bulk package rates would vary in size and price based on the actual type of mineral being purchased. Bulk Mineral Package Specials will help boost manufacturing but will not overburden the system to a point of collapse.

I don't even think I need to explain why this is a big NO.

New players who want to exchange real world money for ISK can purchase PLEX from CCP and sell it in game or they can purchase AURUM, use it to purchase vanity items in the New Eden store, and sell those on the in-game market. Offering minerals through the New Eden store puts CCP in competition with player industry and should be avoided. |

Aurum/Plex exist as a method to buy isk without really effecting the market, why would we want a further, more potentially disruptive alternative?

New player needs to learn how to place buy orders to get rock cheaper and easier.
I will even give some hints.
Place them in far outlying systems for a fair....but not full market price. you want those miners to go you know I could make more isk hauling to jita. But.....with this here half decent buy order I am not dragging my ass around in brick of a freighter to jita to make the isk.
Basically buy order price select to where the price is better than say 10 hops in a charon.
This can also work for salvage and other things.
You want to do this via buy order to get direct to you deals. DOn't wait on cheap rock. If there chances are good someone may try to run the market and buy it up to resell at higher price.
Besides that....no micro transactions. What the hell happen to gamers this became a thing? Same with DLC (cosmetic crap, not legit major game expansions...dev should make some money to cover making a whole new section to the game) and preorder "deals".
Gets in old man mode.....I remember when you bought a game and it was all in there. Wanted that item....its was all in there. Just had to unlock it. Took time? Maybe. But for the say 40 you coughed up, you had it. Nowadays its pay the 60, then the 5, then another 5, and another. Or wait a year out and get it all in a steam sale lol. |

Buy plex. Sell plex for isk. Buy minerals with isk.
That way everyone gets a fair price for their work/time and you dont **** over the mineral market and especially miners.
EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided" "So it will be up to a pilot to remain vigilant wherever they may be flying and be ready for anything at any time"

Was going to write exactly that.
Also, @DrysonBennington : if you don't know how the market and/or industry work, you should probably not propose ideas related, especially if it does include IRL money. Because pay to win, yadda-yadda.

Why yes. Let's go ahead and make mining even worse by supplying minerals at an even lower cost. There obviously wouldn't be any sort of market reaction to such a proposal and mineral prices wouldn't dare drop when a new cheap supply comes online. What a splendid idea. |
