Just venting here, but what I want to know is who's bright idea (no pun intended) was it to create blinding white pockets in space, and have the modules and stuff be in white text? It seems like during missions, they intentionally position the ships right in the middle of a blinding white light, making it difficult to see if your module is even active or not. On a separate note, is there a way to turn off when when you click something on your overview, it re-positions the camera to point directly at them? I don't recall this happening when I played back in 2007. |

the tracking camera can be incredibly useful, especially when d-scanning.
the random pockets of brightness are a pet-peeve of mine. turning on the tactical overlay usually just makes it even worse. Can try to zoom all the way out, move UI stuff, or rotate the camera to get around it

Feature may be useful when configured with D-scan. When you hit C to turn on tracking camera, you can reposition the box to be just within the 15 or 30 degree arc...
The more I read the forums over the years, the more I swear. To god. That the typos are intentional mistakes.

Zooming in can also help so you can position the camera between your ship and the cloud.
Using advanced camera controls, you can put the camera on an object close to the cloud and monitor the entire pocket from that vantage point. With the cloud behind the camera, you no longer burn your house down with the thermal exhaust from the GPU cluster you need to run the game :D
