Hey folks, Frunds here.
EVE Online has been on my radar (should I call it scanner?) for a long time and while I tried the game for a couple weeks last December, I didn't have the time to give it a fair shot. Well NOW I have the time and I am even streaming my experience.
I've heard the stories, I've read the articles, I have even sought out EVE pilots to pick their brains. Everything sounds awesome with this game and now that I am back in it, I am really looking forward to getting better and creating my own stories/shenanigans.
Anyways, I threw this video together to capture my first day in EVE Online. Hope you enjoy!

Welcome,
Streamer, eh? I know a few groups who like streamers. Have you read about them?

First, though it was nice you had a buddy, it really showed how bad the new player experience (NPE) is.
Second, it showed that you probably would be fine on your own. You didn't get stuck or frustrated, and experimented. You didn't seem afraid to click, and were willing to read (long lists of options, tip: nearly everything in EVE has a right-click context menu).
Lastly, few find mining an enjoyable activity. Please keep in mind that you don't have to mine if you don't enjoy it. Same could be said of any activity in EVE.
The only way to win EVE is by having fun.
Many rookie-friendly corps will supply you with all you need, both equipment and training. EVE is more about the people than spaceships. Don't hesitate to join a corp, or chat with people, even those that have just blown-up your ship.
"The best ship is friendship." Corny, but true. We also love to help newbros with a positive attitude get their space-feet. |

The right introductions to EVE are important. Dror got the first part of this video and took it to heart.

Well I tried mining again and its wonder has worn off.
I tried out exploring and I find it much more interesting so far. I put another video together to capture my experience of exploring wormholes. It was the first time I entered security space below 0.5 too.

Unless you already figured it out... just a heads up that streaming as a noob is a sure fire way to be on the wrong side of a gank.
