It looks like its just for eve music, but at least its a good start. I wish it could be improved in the future so I could play music from my pc.
I know many people think this is stupid because we have other tools and websites to play sounds but I really don't like to alt tab or use second monitor to change my music or make it louder ect.
Then use Winamp with Global Hotkeys enabled. :)
But I want EVE jukebox back too. |

CCP Darwin was salty about the idea of wasting dev time "keeping what is essentially winamp updated for the game client".
In other words, CCP sound design has no heart. They would probably be better off hiring someone who was actually passionate about his job and didn't just shrug off the concept of sound design in favor of sound cloud. |

Noticed that CCP Arrow has left the company.. or atleast the Director of UX has left.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/orvarh
Maybe CCP has a new Director of UX that likes to give us nice things... like 'Eve has sound' and not bad things like 'icon/bracket modernization' or 'removal of RGB sliders'.

Thank goodness. The "music" in null is an abomination. Glad to see the jukebox making a triumphant return, though I do hope they'll add some of the newer music, such as the backing track for the "This is Eve" trailer. |

Its not the jukebox. its just going to cycle through eve music and not be the dynamic music we have now. The juke box is dead and shall stay dead.

Same reason features always get removed.
Somebody got an ego and ran with it. Then everyone got lazy and decided it was easier to close ranks and defend the butthurt rather than fix the problem.
Nothing new, really. Happens at my work all the time. Happens over at Blizzard too -- you should have seen the defense going on after Diablo 3 came out. |

I hope this also means the return of the missing music tracks.
Please note that CCP RealX is under the impression those tracks aren't missing but are supposed to play only in highly populated areas. However, I have not heard them since they removed the jukebox. It will be interesting to see if they return with this new audio option. |

It's been said several times in this thread alone that it is not a jukebox, but an opt out from elevator music and aurora buzz.
Now the plan is to say that it is good, but that a "reset" button replicating the function of setting volume to zero is needed, so tracks are easier to skip.
Mind you, that would not be shuffling. It would be a function of the system as implemented.

The idea that it required anything to maintain at all is a joke. It was such a basic feature. |

Yeah, I liked the old jukebox to where I could actually link iTunes in there to shuffle my music along with CCP's music. That was awesome.
This is like finally bringing that hot girl home with the large chest, only to find out it was stuffed with tissues.

Yeah this thread needs to be re titled. This is not the jukebox. The entire point of the jukebox is that I can select the track I want when I want. I'm fine with missing some of the old tracks but let me choose which tracks to listen too.
This change is superfluous.
Honestly I do not understand the argument against giving us access to this feature. |

The only problem is well winamp is gone. And i don`t want to pay for music "other music" so that was a stupid mistake the make. However i`m glad some stuff is back in the game.
However there is no jukeboxs ingame so its still the same issue. You can still not change the music or i`m missing that bottom in my eve client. |

Well you can kind of change it: Slide the volume to 0 then back up to normal. It shuffles the tracks. Kind of.
I'm not complaining. It's nice to have the music back. Everywhere. Although saying that it's sad that CCP weren't aware that some of the tracks didn't play at all. Anywhere. |
