I can find any rig BPO's that use armor plates. Did CCP forget to put in a use for the armor plates?

I can only think that they'll be used in T2 rigs maybe.

i doubt that Armor Plates are used in t2 rigs since there are Intact Armor Plates which appear to be the "t2 version" of said salvage item.
currently, armor plates aren't used in any rigs at all and can be considered worthless.
however, keeping a hold of them just in case they become useful in the future might not be a bad idea. ____________________

How about a dev response on this? I get loads of these worthless items from the Sanshas and if they don't play any role in the game, they should be replaced with something that does.

Logically they should be for armor rigs, but CCP is not a big fan of logic and prefers chance-based development. Anything that you think is logical in eve is just mere coincidence.

Shield rigs use Ward Consoles and Malfunctioning Shield Emitters so I guess armor rigs should use Contaminated Nanite Compounds and Armor Plates.

i think patience is a virtue, their use may be revealed in the future as a new rig becomes available ========================================== Iy |

Yeah there's been a thread about this in the game dev forum. No replies from devs or anything about it.
It's quite irritating that they're not used for anything as they form a large part of the salvage drops from Sanshas. ----------- It's great being Gallente aint it? No, seriously I think it's pretty good. |

Metal scraps can be reprocessed, armor plates cant. And armor plates cant be sold if nobody is buying them. Once everyone finds out that they're useless nobody will buy them.

or maybe it could be a bug? I don't think it is too much to ask for the devs to confirm...

I thought the "trimark armor pump" (or whatever its called, the one that gives more armor HP) used armor plates, if the BPO is using contaminated nanite stuff (how can nanites give you more HP??) then I'm sure its a mistake by the DEVs and they gonna fix it with the next patch..
Have you filled in a bug report?

Its not a bug per se, just a design error.
