Just started playing as a hauler and am interested if anyone needs to move any goods around the Forge and LoneTrek area? |

That's a lie (and a little bitter, methinks)! Niarja and Madirmillre are also great places to pick up juicy contracts.
In order to maximise your income, I would go with an Iteron V (or your favourite racial equivalent), and deck it out to the max with cargo expanders and cargohold rigs. All the better to make serious $$$!

Yeah, I absolutely disagree with that. If you pick up public contracts, fit your ship for max tank with just enough cargo space for the stuff you're moving. If you always fit for max cargo, you get paper thin tank that prety much anyone will be able to pop.
I'd also put the autopilot to "Prefer Safer", and check contracts from HS to HS and make sure the route only says "high security space", and not through LS (as that is/was a pretty common scam).
Just my tips. |

Leave it to CODE to tell a new player bad info that could potentially make them quit the game.. not like eve needs new players now more than ever or anything..

Be better at detecting sarcasm (and humour in general, for that matter).

First off, the guy just started playing. I doubt he's going to be able to detect sarcasm about stuff he has no idea about. Cut him a break with the sarcasm stuff.
Secondly, can we stop trying to claim our way of playing is better for player retention and the other way is horrible? I'm fairly sure no statistics have been drawn. If they have been, please link them for me, would love to see them. And no, anecdotes are not statistics. |
