Camera Points: 1: If I now zoom out the tactical overlay will automatically pop up and tilt your camera. I personally hate it because it yanks me out of the EVE immersion. Please disable it or allow it to be disabled. If I disable it now it pops right back up when I rezoom. Also when it pops up and you zoom back in it stays.
2: Using the POV camera creates some distorted objects when moving it fast (warp/align etc)
3: The POV camera makes it so that enemy hits are placed in your scope with as result that you cant see anything
4: Zooming out goes smoother now but it takes way to big steps.
5: With advanced camera using Ctrl + both mouse buttons one could scale the POV, this is now done dynamically based on the zoom level. Tho this is in some respect awesome because it allows players to experience the true staggering size of some objects it really should be optional or at least changeable when advanced camera options are turned on. Right now this shortcut has been replaced by dynamic grid targeting(?) or something.
6: The new zoom level does not stop at ships/objects, again this HIGHLY ruins the immersion factor
7: Zooming to much makes you enter POV, I am in a bastion marauder, I cant do anything with my POV in that mode. Nor do I want to go in it save for some special reasons. This should be a toggle, not automatic.
8: At certain zoom out level the camera detaches from my ship, if I dont pay attention for a while it drifts away.
9: Due to the new camera options the shield/armor/hull readout overlaps with the cargo
10: THIS **** IS SO AWESOME IM GOING TO FLY POV TROUGH THIS THING SO AWES...O>O Yeah I understand how collision works but with a POV tool and WASD movement a new person might get some immersion shock.
11: When in warp the camera fixes in front of my ship, I have a ton of windows open and my ship is now behind them, please center the ship when it enters warp.
12: Pressing the topview button when in warp yields a very unified screen color (its broke), same goes for scrolling
13: When my ship is moving the camera moves along until it fixes behind the ship, I however have no intention of looking into the equivalent of a supernova (the new engine is awesome but BRIGHT). Please keep it fixed at the angle I set it to.
14: camera/behaviour: The new AI is not sure what to do (it did this for few minutes)
15: Going into warp sometimes fixes you at a completely new camera angle, highly immersion breaking.
Others: 1: The effect of a tracking computer (range/tracking) is new but the same for both scripts. Is it an idea to seperate this? I think meaningful decisions/gameplay can be made due this.
2: The new effect of sensor boosters is way less obtrusive, great job.
3: Ship spinning in the fitting window is way faster than before, when I want to look at a certain spot of my ship I now overshoot it.
4: The description of Drifter Incursion sites in the Journal is still lacking. No info is given safe for the pilot amount, payout and objective. Please add background intelligence/lore as is the case with Sansha.
5: What is up with this?
6: This is legit awesome
Will update if I come across more |

Just wanted to say that many of the new effects are brilliant, especially eccm which has long been in need of toning down. Engine effects are excellent, though the colour switch from standard thrusters to warp speed isn't noticable on amarr, gallente or caldari ships (blue>blue), minmatar looks fantastic though (red/orange>blue).
The new depth of field setting is brilliant, it really gives space a more epic feel, and the smoothing effect for the camera movement is very nice. Not sure I like the way zooming all the way in switches to POV camera, which to me seems to be a niche thing that won't appeal to everyone, especially since the controls are absolute, not relative to the hull position (very unintuitive). Leave the POV setting to the switch, it's too easy to end up looking straight ahead by accident. |

Posted this in another thread on it, but I should probably put it in the main thread.
Again, you've manged to make the new camera with the exact same problems the 'Old' New Map camera had.
In regards to the "Normal Camera" mode. The Alt-2 one. Please stop making the camera controls less responsive, and stop adding extra weight and momentum behind it. It feels laggy, and doesn't respond as well, especially in the vertical. The automatic FOV zoom you've put in feels nauseating. Like, full on legit "I'm going to stop testing this because it's screwing with my eyes and stomach" The automatic shift to Tactical view is annoying if I don't want to use it, but be zoomed out. Right mouse button to move the camera's view doesn't work, and the manual FOV zoom that could be used like binoculars is gone too. It also randomly shifts and moves around when you turn the ship because of the offset you've put in, and is FAR worse than the old camera bobbing. Which you'd just made an option to remove. And speaking of the camera offset, I don't like it. I don't want the camera to shift around and move while I'm in combat. That's making it more difficult to click on icons in space. Terrible idea.
Yes, it looks pretty, just like the 'Old' New Map. It feels dynamic and like a Space Ship show in TV, just like the 'Old' New Map. But it feels horrible to actually use, just like the 'Old' New Map.
Please stop thinking about what looks pretty, and think about the responsiveness and it's use as a tool.
I'll have another go a bit later to try some more once my stomach has settled. |

I've researched some new T2 dessie blueprints, and it turns out, when tying to manufacture them "the selected activity is not supported at the current facility". The current facility being a random hisec station with an industry facility, namely Osmon 6-6.

Hello CCP,
i have no idea which team is involved after reading there individual threads, so i write it here down:
The probes are to bright now in the new probe map. Adjust it to the current (TQ beta probe launcher) defaults and all is fine. Hard to see the 'red' marker for moving them.
Another issue with the probes - you have to press shift first to be able to move the probes because no movements on the probes are displayed after launching them.
And finally, if you set the camera center (ESC->Display->Camera Center) to a non default position, the probe scanner window should also use those settings to center the map - doesnt work on TQ too. This feature would be helpfull for people with smaller monitors and a bunch of open windows on one side.

Since I just heard CCP Guard and Mimic drool over the "more lively" new orbit camera: No, whobbly, shaky, inertial camera around ships is not cool, let alone useful. It is already hard enough to hit things with your mouse when they move, we do not need the camera to make our lifes even harder than it already is. As long as this stuff remains optional and only useful for video/movie directors, I have no problem with it but if this turns into the standard feature and replaces the much better current camera, you are just going to introduce yet another mechanic that forces mistakes so that people lose ships instead of making people lose ships through piloting.

Currently the
Tracking Camera: Center Tracking Position Tracking Camera: Custom Tracking Position Tracking Camera: Toggle point camera to selected item Tracking Camera: Toggle Tracking Position Mode
Shortcuts seem to have no functionality while the New Camera is being used.
Also, the New Camera has brought the ship's POV too close by a few gradients if that makes any sense. At max settings space looks much crisper using the old camera. The stars look less distant and more fake with the New Camera.
Lastly, in First Person Mode there is a lack of turret impact sounds. You hear the shots being fired but you don't hear them making contact like you would outside the ship. Maybe this is intended? |

Probing sometimes leaves this big ghost probe that can't be moved and serves no purpose. Also the probes are too bright. They are making it harder to see signatures, especially when they are smaller. Maybe tone down the brightness of the probes. More transparency.
So that big ghost probe is apparently connected to the Orbit Camera and spins itself when trying to turn the camera around your ship. The compass turns, the big ghost probe turns, and the camera no longer moves around your ship. So weird... |

We just deployed a bunch of scanning fixes and tweaks - give them a try! Some performance tweaks (relating mainly to bookmarks no longer stacking, as stacking them was super expensive).

I found some glowing shiny balls of scanning disruption in your scanner, why you do this people? Shiny isnt always good, can mean pretty, but sometimes you want to find out what is beneath this pretty shine.

Really? It's the same color as the probes? CCP do you even scan? I'm glad I can toggle it off since it seemed like a bug, looks like a bug, I love to scan but damn... I hate being that guy that says the red was more attractive and easier to discern things. And I think it's ok to have probes be alot more transparent. I think that's ok. Love you lots. But damn... what just happened?

Do you have much need for a visual representation of D-scan while probe scanning signatures? Just toggle the D-scan visual off while you're scanning if it's giving you issues.
