I have a Wolf and honestly its the best ship that I own. But I always wanted to make it better, so what skills should I be focusing on in order to get more out of the wolf?

The wolf is begging to be armour tanked, although a passive shield tank doesn't sound impossible.
So pick either one (or both) and max out the skills in that field, take into account the skills that make you harder to hit (navigation, evasive maneuvering, spaceship command, etc) for an armour tank power systems ops and management, and your weapon systems... after that, there will be not much left to improve. Look upward towards the next step... Vagabond ;-)

2 mids, 4 lows - I'd say: pick the armor tank. Imho, you want to have at least an afterburner in mid, not much room for shield tankage now eh?
Jaguar calls for shield-tanking, Wolf - armor, period.

It'd be much better to go Med Extender II in place of the amp if you went for SPR's in low... the extra regen for the massive shield boost would outweigh the benefit of a little extra kinetic resistance.

Screw tanking make it into a gang frig. My corp m8 has the damage multiplyer well above 20 on his 280.
Can you say frig hitting like a BS  .
