o/
Just recently trained into the tengu for pvp purposes, and have been looking at utilising it for some DED sites. Never actually lived in nullsec before so this will mostly be a bit of a yolo after watching some videos and practicing on the ones that googling tells me aren't as difficult.
Before you ask what region ill be doing these in, i will actually be based out of a wormhole, which can obviously dump me anywhere, and the sites as such will be random. Because of this, i'm kind of looking for a bit of a 'cookie-cutter' type tengu fit that i can change the mods on a little bit to suit each site/faction etc, and will check eve survival and all those other lovely resources before i do the site
The fit will need to have either covert/nullfied subsystems in it, or possibly a mobile depot and cargo hold expanders to swap them out in system before doing the site itself. I won't really be travelling too far from the wormhole exit though and will scout myself around, so it's more of a precaution that a necessity.
Currently have good shield skills, as well as T2 HAM's trained, but will be training into HML's shortly.
Don't mind if its a bit shiny, as my subsystems will be at 4 for a short while, as this is more for fun and time filling than for the isk itself
I have done a bunch of googling for fits, but a lot of them seem ancient, and im not sure if they come under 'tried and tested' or if they may have been hit with the nerf bat, or alot of them seem specifically rigged and fitted for someone living in gurista space or something
Cheers :) |

Have you checked out Battleclinic ?
Can use that to get a basic idea for the ship fit and then use EFT (Eve Fitting Tool) or some other 3rd party ship fit app and customize the fit to your skills and specific needs.

Yeah i have looked at quite a few, as well as the goons wiki page for the tengu
Most of the ones i have found are fit a particular way to just tank the maze for instance, or they are advertised as being for gurista ded sites or sansha ded or whatever, with different rigs and subsystems. I have no problem refitting the resist specific mods but subsystems and HAMs vs HMLs, as well as rigs, i havent a clue about, mostly because ive never done these before

After a bit of EFT'ing and some advice from some people i came up with this:
[Tengu, Tengu fit]
Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Damage Control II Missile Guidance Enhancer II
Pith X-Type Shield Boost Amplifier Gistum B-Type Medium Shield Booster Republic Fleet Target Painter Republic Fleet 10MN Afterburner Pithum B-Type Kinetic Deflection Amplifier Pithum B-Type Thermal Dissipation Amplifier
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Rage Heavy Assault Missile
Medium Core Defense Field Extender II Medium Core Defense Field Extender II Medium Warhead Flare Catalyst II
Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
561 dps with offensive subsystem at 4, and 345hp/s with defensive subsystem at 4, cap stable at 42.7% and 91% therm resists and 87% kinetic
Reckon this would do it? |

I'm mainly familiar with Loki T3 Cruiser.
Your fit should do pretty well for the mid level sites. Definitely train up the sub-system and ship skills to level 5 asap.
Every little bit helps. Good luck to you.
