I am looking to buy a laptop from pcspecialist.co.UK
Could anyone suggest one that would be able to run multiple eve clients and run games such as BF4.
My maximum budget is -ú1300, however it would be nice to spend less without compromising performance.
Thanks in advance. |

I spent USD$250 for a Walmart Lenovo laptop and can run 2 clients just fine. I spent approx. $70 on 8 gigs of RAM - so around USD $330.
BF4 appears to be on the high side as far as minimum specs so I would use that as a starting point. I would lean towards the recommended specs. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/battlefield-4/11804/?p=r |

You shouldn't have too difficult of a time finding a laptop at pcspecialist.co.UK. Your budget is going towards the graphics card more than anything else.
I noticed at the bottom for "configure a laptop" are the options (extreme gaming) you will likely need to run BF4. Take BF4 out of the equation and your options for playing Eve increases dramatically (new laptop budget drops rapidly). |

I paid the premium and got a Razer Blade - pricey, but simply awesome. With your budget, if you increased it a little bit, you could probably get an open-box model - in near perfect condition (that's what I did). As many clients as you like open simultaneously, plus literally any modern game you care to mention.
The biggest plus, though, are it's looks - 14", and damn if it doesn't look like the MacBook Pro's evil (and much cooler!) cousin...

Razor Blade looks awesome. A review said theirs overheated while specifically playing BF4. When I have a laptop that over heats (I buy cheap) I simply buy a laptop cooler and everything is fine. If you buy a laptop that cant handle the game, don't play the game or don't buy the laptop. http://www.amazon.com/review/R32MSGPDQPEH4E/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00J06F4BK&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=541966&store=pc

You're absolutely right, it does sometimes grow quite hot - but as you also say, it's nothing that a cheap laptop cooler can't fix :)

Dell xps are nice, i prefer them compared to alienware, i also had a novatech gaming laptop, was a really good and super reliable machine, defo check them out the top of the line model has a gtx970m
Laptop coolers dont really do much, ive got a belkin one and id be easier just blowing on the computer, laptops get hot any way, some new thermal paste will help more

ASUS ROG G75 series laptops are the best gaming notebooks I have ever owned. Heat is what kills laptops, and the G75 series has the best cooling system hands down. I have had my G75vw for 3 years now and its had zero problems.
current model (I think)

You want i7 with 16gigs of ram gtx 970m gpu SSD would be desirable too.with that you have gaming grade performance with any game.
Anything less will struggle (eve excluding ).
Gtx 980m is top of the line gpu there are also SLI options I wouldn't buy it without dual fans with separate heatpipes(3 per copper block minimum) and separate copper blocks so CPU and GPU are cooled individually. |

Keep in mind that particular model has a 2 gig graphics card and BF4 recommends a 3 gig.
The 3 gig graphics card model:

Also can he purchase those laptops in UK?
Also, likely any reason for a laptop to overheat is going to be because of those awesome video cards. |
