CCP Seagull comes with exciting news about the next release to be published on December 8.
We are going to see a lot of stuff: new command destroyers with microjump field generators, Navy EWAR frigates, the Endurance ice mining frigate, ship rebalance, falloff mechanics for neuts/nos, tons of visual improvements and a lot more stuff.
But that is not all, you can also learn a bit about the upcoming Operation Frostline!
So, check out CCP Seagull's latest video and her dev blog Operation Frostline and Holidays 2015 in EVE Online - An update from CCP Seagull

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the name, doesn't have that same sci-fi appeal to it like most of the other expansion/release titles
Lots of other stuff to distract me from that though, seems like a great release overall |

" A More Vibrant Universe
Always enhancing the spatial 3D feel of the EVE universe, the art and graphics teams have added more vibrancy to the star fields and given a new level of depth to nebulae. Admire the celestial bodies that surround you and nevermind that red blip on the overview... just keep looking at the stars..."
I hope you toned down the brightness of the ridiculously bright nebulae - like the one in Kor-Azor. It is still obnoxiously white and washes out any useful HUD information if you happen to be looking anywhere near that nebula.
This was mentioned several times when the nebulae got revamped over a year ago, and lip-service was paid by CCP then, but nobody did anything about it.
I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

So, does having the new engine effects mean we'll also get the animation for the Cricifier/Sentinel? (I remember something about engine plumes not being able to move preventing its implementation). |

I'm also looking forward to the release; a lot of hard work over the past few months by every team at CCP will be coming to light. |

Are repair modules getting changed? that's what they have been saying for a while still waiting for details though, also want to see the stats for the t2 logi frigs. and some details on changes to existing logi ships would be nice as the remote reps are getting changed.
also more on the ewar tiericide would be nice. neuts/nos has been posted for a while. And looks like ECCM is getting a change too? that could be interesting. Also looking forward to hearing about changes to the other forms of ewar, although looks like that will be happening later.
and the hic point scramming is still something I don't like. t2 WDFG with hic5 gets a 37.5km scram

I enjoyed the The Crimson Harvest. It brought heaps of content to wormhole space. Running the sites and hunting the site runners. Was fun would do again.

And, while the art devs are fixing the nebulae brightness, the UI devs can also:
1) Remove the transparency effect from the capacitor level/status indicator - it is very difficult to view against bright backgrounds (and impossible against the sun); and
2) Add an option to completely disable tooltips for people who don't need them - they have an annoying habit of popping up when you don't want them and obscuring other information/graphics under the mouse pointer |

I'm glad we're finally getting more options for anti-aliasing, but why are you only adding TXAA? Will we get MSAA later? I'd love to have 4x/8xMSAA |

There is so much non-sense i read in this dev blog it is almost unreal. I give this game maybe another year and then there will be so few players online that it wont be worth to log on at all anymore.
Area of effect micro jump drive... that's even more stupid than the normal micro jump drive module already is...
Fall-off for neuts and remote thingies... really great idea... really really gonna help pvp in eve... not...
Adding even more complexity that just cries for imbalance and makes it impossible for anyone to understand whats going on on grid. If it wasnt for multiboxing the game would be a complete wasteland already and adding even more complexity and options also doesn't help this kind players. Not to even speak of new players...
I wish you guys would man up and realize that you have almost killed the game with most of the changes since after introduction of T3 cruisers and get rid of all the non-sense ships and modules you have come up with since then and try again from that point.
I wish that these two good game devs you had til a couple of years ago would still be around.
Sorry for not being constructive but i have given up on that in regards to EVE a while ago... |

I like the new WDFG. Just wish I could put one on my interdictor so I could catch stabbed farmers in FW plexes. |

Can we get some info on this soon? - The thread you're linking to only covers Neuts and NOSes.. Would be nice with some actual feedback time on such vital modules as remote repairers and cap transfers. |

Yeah.. depending on that AOE and spin-up time, you could jump in a system and get yanked 100km from gate.
MJD's are really useful. It makes your enemies come in close to gets the scram on you.
And this is going to become a further problem with the falloff to nuets.. now only an Arazu or Lachesis will be able to long point/Scram and hold since they can use sensor damps and obliterate your range.. if their skills are high enough.
Your post seems really one sided, but it's creativity in fits and how you can use a ship that brings out the best in eve. |
