Greetings,
As much as I LOVE the new shield booster FX, I am left wondering if the FX will continue to cycle once; or, will eventually loop as it used to?
Side comment: New visuals look amazing! Loving the new shield damage effects.
Possible Bug: I outfitted an Oracle today. First time in this class of BC. Every time I installed a turret, game kept telling me I didn't have enough powergrid. However, I could go thru each one and manually turn them on. Is this intended or a bug? Also, on same vessel, I installed 3 rigs which had 400 total calibration. However, the fitting screen showed -200 calibration and kept them online.
Keep up the good work, CCP! You are the reason I keep coming back to this game.

I did ask this question in other thread and don't see feedback.
I have a same issue with shield booster/hardener. it cycle once. And to see it again I need to stop cycle and start it again. |

If I'm not mistaken, you're only meant to see the effect when its actually repairing damage.
So you will get a shield boost visual for when you first enable the module, but to see it again you actually need to take shield damage. In effect you only visually see any boosts or repairs that are actually doing something, minus the first one which I guess is a visual confirmation that the module has been activated.

Makes sense... but if you use the visual queue to remember 'oh i need to turn this off' a lot of people are gonna be in for a shocker hehe...
Been around since the beginning.

Lol if anything it will help those people by forcing them to either remember to shut it down or use the other visual indicators that don't require you to be zoned in on your ship

So to address this, the design behind these new effects is that you see an initial activation cycle for the shield effects. When you actually start taking damage you will see the full, continuously cycling Booster/Hardener and Impact effects (depending on what you have running). As for the armor and hull effects - Armor repair effects are shown around the damaged areas of your ship and Hull repair effects will be shown as long as the module cycles.
As for your Oracle issue, this may still be some Brain in a Box weirdness going on. Could you please submit a bug report using the In-Game Bug Reporting Tool, accessible from the bottom of the Help (F12) Menu.
