What if blueprint copies stated the number of remaining runs in the bottom left of the icon so you could see how many remain without showing info on it. I know it takes me quite a while to sort through stacks and stacks of blueprints to determine the runs left on them.
Discuss and please leave constructive comments. |

I like it. +1
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

As convenient as it would be, from a developer's standpoint, it would be a really, really bad idea, especially when you have a significant number of BPC's. I can't be certain of this, but right now, it doesn't appear that calls to the server are made to get the runs when you simply open a container with the BPC's in them, only when you view the BPC's in a way that would use or display the runs (showing info or viewing them in the Industry window).
If the number of runs were displayed in the icon or name, you would have to make the calls every time you viewed the items, which would likely greatly increase the delay when viewing BPC's in containers (akin to what it is when you open the container in the Industry window).
As convenient as it would be to be able to quickly view the runs on a BPC, as someone who does a lot of invention, I'd much rather have the negligible delay that containers currently have, as opposed to the long delay that the Industry window has.

if this could be done without breaking the hamsters, I'd be for it. as is - I think winter's got the right of it.....
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

As winter sayd would be loda more asking and getting from server if they allways show the number there, could just add a column to show runs remaining in the inventory, same for TE and TE .. or somehow make the industry blueprint browser drag-dropable, so u pick a print and move it to your ship or another conteiner. kinda like the old one was able to move prints between devisions and able to contract em from there.
havine loads of copyes in one container i usaly have it in deteiled view .. meaning i dont see the icons so the number next to the ice would be pointless to me and many others ..
