I've been working on this fun side project for a while. It's always difficult to keep track of assets and sales when your trading habits start extending, and while many similar programs exist there hasn't really been one that fits my needs so far. Eve-Trade Master (ETM) aims to help you visualize your data in a clean, understandable way. No more spreadsheets, no more piles of numbers and graphs with little to no significance, but lots of features you may be interested into, such as:
*aggregating several characters and accounts toguether so you can easily keep track of your combined assets and profits. This is particulary useful if you have several characters dispatching goods to different stations to sell (up to 15 characters per account for now)
*ability to see how much you're making on the go. Constantly updated tables and graphs will illustrate in a clean way exactly which items are being re-sold and which aren't. Again, this applies to multiple characters as well meaning your profits will be counted even when you buy and sell across different characters.
*Regional Trading made easy. Simply select the starting and destination stations, the items you'd like to export and instantly get information on how much things are selling across the universe right now and how much you stand to make if you buy at current prices. Relevant standings and fees are all automatically calculated!
*Access a ton of statistical info, such as best items, fastest sales, best timezones to sell and update orders and best customers. Full list of easily searchable transactions, assets list, contracts and market orders. IGB compatible.
*You can also recieve daily/weekly/monthly reports of your trading sent by email if you wish to (this will be enabled later for now)
And it's all free, no ads, (altough donations are welcome on the main page). All you need is an API key with minimal permissions to get started: www.evetrademaster.com
This is a BETA and an ongoing project. Things may or may not break at any time and and user feedback is always welcome for testing. Use either the feedback section on the website or post here or in PM.
Known issues: slow login times with multiple characters page layout tends to break on some devices when graphs are in play
Comming on later releases: functional e-mail reports (almost done) black theme ability to exclude certain transactions from the profit tracking authentication revamp to use Eve's SSO blueprint production using local prices full IGB compatibility more pretty graphs
have fun and make some dank isk :)

I plan to. :) Over the last few days I made the following changes: - transactions for player made outposts are now working properly - significantly reduced login/refresh times - adding a grand total sum to character selection - improved cache loading mechanism
Things that will most likely come next: - functional e-mail reports - more statistical data - asset/nav/escrow/orders evolution graph - aggregated character view for transactions, orders, assets and contracts
Things planned for the future: - functional corp api keys - CREST revamp for regional trader - SSO authentication - full IGB support

There have been a few changes in the past months:
- Automated email reports are function and expanding - Addition of grand totals and (soon) net worth evolution graph - Ability to filter/rearrange the profit history table - Performance/optimization improvements (e.g page load times). This is still an ongoing work, though - Better responsive layout for mobile devices - Small UI improvements - More accurate asset evaluation formulas - Aggregated contracts, assets, transactions for all characters (easily filterable)
What's next to come until BETA is over: -Abiity to filter assets by region and/or other parameters -Black theme -Full IGB compatibility -Better e-mail report layout -More statistical data (feel free to suggest)
After beta is over and I have a more solid platform i can start expanding with some highly requested features such as: -Ability to ignore certain transactions -Regional blueprint manufacturing -Corp API keys -CREST price fetch -Regional trader wishlists (save, load, import...)

I've been extremely busy the past few days, but I still managed to do a few changes recently:
-Profit/Statistics pages no longer take an eternity and a half to load -Some usability and layout changes aimed at mobile devices -Bugfixing with reports and strange data -More accurate asset value calculation formula -You can stay logged in indefinetly now (just bookmark the dashboard for example)
Things being worked at until beta is over:
-Shopping cart/item list for Regional Trade Assistant -Assets list sorting by Region -Net worth evolution graph -Aggregated contracts, transactions and assets -Possibly CREST implementation for price data (eve central is surprisingly doing just fine for what most people use it for right now)
I apologize for the occasional hiccups the server suffered last week. It was either me being silly and breaking things, or the server beggingg for resources while performing demanding tasks. I'm probably going to upgrade it for twice the resources soon, donations would be very welcome for this however.
You can also submit a survey (you'll see it after logging in) so you can cast a vote on what features should be prioritized.

Your API key has expired. Normally it should automatically delete itself and prompt you for a new one when you login but due to some technical issues I'm not letting the program automatically delete keys when updating characters right now and doing that manually instead.
I've now erased it from your account, the next time you login you should be prompted for a new key.
I'm going to fix this from now on, but for anyone else using the website I recommend you to set your keys to 'no expiry' to avoid issues like this in future.

Here's a new feature a few people have been asking for a while:
- You can now create customized item lists and import them to the Regional Trade Assistant. This means you can now compare up to 50 items of live market data (from CREST) between any 2 station in New Eden. You can create and store multiple lists depending on your needs and trade routes.
To do this simply head over to the Trade Assistant > Stock Lists. Create a new list, start submitting items and you can later select it as a source of data when you use RTA instead of manually inputing items.
Price/asset avaluation also started using Eve's average prices (the ones you see as estimated value on your hangar or cargo) rather than Eve Central's, meaning they should be more accurate than before.
Enjoy and let me know if you find any bugs.

Nice application so far. One thing: Your assets manager calculates all blueprint copies as originals and bloats up the total worth. Also - is there any way to use a corporation api key for contract sales tracking / corp assets? (For example when I buy stuff, fit a ship and sell it via corporation contracs)
//Edit: Things that would be really nice to have (or I am too stupid to find them):
- A dashboard for ALL characters at once. It should give you an overview about the last sold items with their profits, statistics about locations (in which station you made the most profit in a given timeframe - more charts! ) and so on. Right now I have to manually tab around the different chars to get an overview.
- Some kind of "shopping list" for finished or nearly finished orders, sorted by location (station where the order finished). That would be a really useful feature, so we don't have to manually check whats out of stock or whats going to be out of stock in the next hours (And probably order new stuff before the old one sells out). Maybe in combination with the trade assistant, so it tells you at the same time if its profitable to buy that out-of-stock-item again?
- Maybe a checkbox to mark transactions as "private" (and hide them from all calculations). I just had the issue that I bought some items quite a bit overpriced, because I needed them for myself - and the website got those prices as buy price for my already existing sellorders - and thus marked all following transactions with a negative profit. Another example: I bought a PLEX via contracts and sold it at the same station for a profit. Some hours before I bought a PLEX in another station in the same region and used it for myself - the tool market this transaction as negative profit.
Keep on doing this, your tool is awesome and way better than all existing ones out there! |

Thanks for the kind words, most of what you've asked is already in the to-do list.
Corp API keys are probably going to take a while. Things like aggregated pages and transactions aren't too difficult to create and should be ready whenever I have free time again.
As for blueprints, I noticed that a while ago. I'm not sure how to tackle this situation yet since prices are comming directly from what you see in-game (the estimated values).

There is a program that calculates the rate of return on investment for Blueprints.
I forgot what it is now, though I heard it many times, and can verify which one it is later on.
My take on the trading / asset management is to calculate the relative values taking into account work costs (purchase) and sales revenues. This modified the profit values in ISK by integrating a factor of difficulty to gain the ISK or even keep it (storage costs).
Of course , it would be nice to have all the items demand in the Buy Orders forum, or private EVE mail and what not. That could increase the market supply logistics work (and related business rewards / profits / costs). |

I just added another quality of life improvement
You can now check if your orders are currently up-to date or have been undercut in the Market Orders page. Data is updated every 6 minutes. This does take a while to check if you have a lot of them up and will probably stay this way until I find a better way to control request limits.
Market Orders still update once an hour, though so this isn't 100% accurate. In future I might find a way to update market orders in real time as well but no promisses.

Just a small update: I noticed some users with a huge amount of transactions (50k+) were experiencing sluggish login times, and for that I changed the way profits were calculated and stored. If you had a similar problem in the past, things should be significantly faster now.
I'm also open for ideas for new types of statistics to display.
Things like best trade routes or market blunders (transactions with very high or very low profit margin) which often result from price typos are already on the list.

The profit tracking is getting worse and worse. for example, i buy imperial navy 1600mm steel plates for around 31mill and sell it for around 33.5mill (for around five days now), but the system says i bought the item for 39mill and shows a loss of 15%. dont know where the system has the 39mill, but its definitly wrong.
unfortunatly this is not the only item. more and more items are involved in this problem, so that my profit is around 20% of the real profit that i make. |

The way profits are calculated is by assuming the first inventory items are sold first. Sometimes it means it will pickup some older items you've bought in the past, and it doesn't necessarily mean that's the case everytime, but unfortunately that's all you can do when it's not possible to track items individually with the data available in the API. The reason you're seeing negative profits is because the tracker is just matching older buy orders for that item (should be easy to verify in the transactions page).
In some days I will be creating a new feature that will let people mark particular transactions as *insignificant* and removing them from the tracking queue.

thanks. I will be looking at some of these things later on, but sadly for the time being I don't have much time to devote to side projects.
Also there was an unexpected outage with my provider on the 27th which prevented it from backing up data and led to an inconsistent database later on. I had to re-roll things 24 hours prior which means people who recently registered might have to create an account again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've also took the chance to update the item list to this expansion and fix a problem with the slow login times. It should take no more than 10-15 seconds for 99% of users now. Let me know if something else is wrong.

I have a few questions about this.
How do you handle broker fees on cancelled orders? The broker fee is charged when the order is made, but there won't be any actual transactions to apply the costs to. Also, how would you handle partially completed orders that are cancelled?
Second, I am noticing drastic changes in the profits reported on a day several days later. For example, On 6-4, I showed a profit on Evetrademaster of around 500 million when I recorded it at about 00:00 EVE time of 6-6 (could be off by several hours). Now, I am showing that day as a 400 million loss. If we assume I was stupid, and I just forgot to record the entry as a negative, it is still a change in the profits of 100 million isk. |

Let me know your username and I'll see what's wrong. Typically, the 'daily profits' are updated once a day around 00-01 am eve time.
I'm currently in the process of rewriting the profit calculations to fix some small inconsistencies.

Hi,
I use your tools, it's awesome, very usefull for profit tracking, but i have question, why the sell order value is calculated from the average value of the item in sell order ? The goal of trading is buy low for sell high, in this case, the sell order is not representative.I would prefer show the real value of the sell order

It was initially that way, but I changed it for a few reasons, mainly accuracy and from some people's suggestions. Some people set absurdly high or low orders in some hubs (lowballing, scamming attempts, etc) which can easily inflate your total assets value, turning all sorts of net worth graphs pointless.
You are correct that some items are worth more in some stations/regions than others, but one could also claim items aren't worth more than the average value until you've sold them.
In the future I might consider adding an option to evaluate your orders by average price or by listed price.

I have questions about the statistics page now. When I look at the detailed profits, it shows that I had a 30% loss on an item. It says buy price around 3000 isk per unit, and sell price of 2070 isk per unit. (roughly.) When I look at transaction history, I show that I bought the items yesterday at around 2000 isk per unit, and sold them at 2140 isk per unit. I can't figure out where these numbers are coming from for the detailed profits. I guess the sell price could be actual sell price minus tax and broker fees, but the buy price is just completely wrong.
My second question is about the statistics page, I want to know where you get the information to calculate the daily profits, because I am concerned that if it uses the detailed profits to calculate the daily profits then I don't think I can trust those numbers. |

When you look at the detailed profits page you should be able to see when the transactions for it come from:
http://imgur.com/RKvlVxP
and they should all be somewhere in your transaction history. The most likely scenario is that the program is matching earlier purchases of that item with your sales, which is why the results are different than you expect. By default it always assumes what you buy first is what sold first. The values you see in the profits table already include taxes (where transactions in the transactions page do not).
If this doesn't clear it up send me a PM with a screenshot on the profits table and I'll see what's wrong.

Loving it so far! However I have run into a problem since this morning. It seems that it suddenly has stopped updating my account. I've had 700 million in transactions move though my wallet since yesterday evening and nothing has shown up on the program!
I'm not sure if I messed something up or if there is an issue on the EVE side. It seems to take my API key but just won't update.
One thing i did notice was that right when it stopped updating, I seemed to start having an issue with the market orders tab. When i try to check orders, it just goes to a blank white tab. |

That means the email/user you inserted don't match. For security purposes it doesn't actually tell you if the combination is right. if you forgot your username there is an option to recover that as well. Recently came back to eve and wanted to give this a go, but unfortunately (from what i see) this has no way to work on a Corporation orders right? i mean say i use different chars on different spots to buy and sell stuff. The easier way to move my money around, is if all the orders are setup on say the corporation master wallet. In this case, there is no way to use this software properly right (again might be missing something here).
Also to note, say if i use a freighter service to haul my stuff (so my corporation would contract stuff to someone, that would haul it to another corp member to sell there).
hopefully im making myself clear. anyways thanks for the help and the awesome page :D |

Hello! Finding the tool to be very useful so far. One criticism is that if you're adding items to a stocking list, exact match names need to be displayed at the top of the list. For instance, it is impossible to add "crow" to a stock list, because miCROWarpdrives fill up the entire list.
Edit: A way to change stock list names would be nice also

It's mostly to do with the way invalid keys are reported and the way I use to validate them (which sometimes errors out due to glitches/api bugs throwing invalid access for no reason, connections timing out etc). I already have a daily cron job for those.

Just come back to the game after a while out and decided to have a go at trading and this tool looks fantastic!
Just one question that I couldn't find the answer to in the FAQ. How long does it take the custom citadel broker fees to update? Or does it infact do it at all retroactively?
I've entered the correct broker fee of 0 at the citadel I'm using, but it is still showing a massive loss on an item I know I've turned a profit on. The loss amount is consistent with what would be lost given a standard ~0.025 broker fee on buy and sell. So the only thing I can think is that is the item was bought and sold before I started using ETM and updated the broker fee?
Other than that looks great :)

Profit margins are calculated per transaction basis, so by whatever you bought/sold items for. As for statistics (e.g best margins) it's the margin of your sum of sales and purchases for each item.

Good job so far ! This is a pretty good tool for tracking your transactions.
One suggestion I would love to see implemented is to just be able to remove buyer side broker fees from the calculation all together (or just always reduce to 100 isk). You were on the right track with the citadel tax options but if the name of the station changes or you end up working from another due to conflict you have to repeatedly add entries on the citadel page. It would be easier just to completely remove the buy side tax since alot of people exclusively buy from citadels now anyways (and there are always 0% stations). My profits are largely understated due to not thinking about the name change of the station i was working in and not keeping up with the citadel entries. |

Pretty sure this isn't showing corp assets under directors? So it's not showing any towers for example, or items in corporate hangar arrays? Or items in contracts? If I put 4b in a contract it just disappears. Is it dependent on collateral value to count contracts? The screen says 1 contract for 0 isk. |

Market prices are updated every 6 hours (for stock value estimation, etc). Price checks from trade simulator, order check or market explorer are as fast as crest allows (5 minutes cache).

Taxes and broker fees. It also assumes you bought items from buy orders and sold them to sell orders (since this is the most common scenario). If you think something still isn't right let me know your username and particular transactions so I can have a look at what's wrong.

Yes... as far as I know there's no accurate way of telling from which type of order items are sold to unless something changed on the api recently, so I assume the most common case. I will however try to provide an option to customize this in future.

Not sure if anyone is experiencing this lately but It's showing incorrect Buy/Sell prices and giving me negative profit for some items.
For example I bought an item for 186 mil and sold it for 232 mil but it's listing this as having bought the item for 210 mil. I've had similar issues with a few other items also. When i look through my transactions in the tool it shows the correct buy and sell prices.
Does this tool also automatically know if you've paid station taxes or not? |

I've been trying to upgrade some things with the server which keeps breaking sessions for some odd reason. I've reverted the changes and it should be back to the way it used to be before.
Meanwhile, I've just added citadel assets to the assets/net worth sections. There's also a few changes with profit tracking coming up soon -> https://evetrademaster.com/blog/

I had a quick question about citatdels. Some of the citadels I trade in don't show up in the citadel tax settings, and I think it assumes full tax in this case? For example, trading some large value items shows up as a negative profit when in fact with the lowered taxes, there is a positive profit. I'm also not sure if my tax settings for citadels that do show up are being applied, as sometimes the citadel has a slightly different name, perhaps an old version?
Maybe the global 0% citadel tax setting will solve this case?
PS: I forgot to say how much I love this tool! |

If it's your first visit it can take a while, especially if you have a very large number of transactions. Unfortunately you just have to keep trying until it's finished :/ Things will go faster after the initial import.

The exact name of the Citadels in question:
"Frarn - Gÿå IChooseYou Market" "Abudban - Gÿ+Rens Oasis 0.2% Market/Labs/MFG"
So when trading Skill Injectors in Frarn, it looks like I'm losing 18 mil per, when I'm actually making 20 mil-ish profit.

Added new Market explorer functionality and charts Small layout improvements and chart aesthetics Significantly improved performance for tables with lots of data Added an "offline mode" where users can still login in case something goes wrong with the update process or the API is down New profit tracking settings: ignore NPC station tax, ignore citadel tax, ignore outpost tax, ignore cross character profits. You can change them in your account settings, but they are not retroactive. Made several optimizations to page rendering speed
Let me know if you find any problems. enjoy!

Hi Nick!
I'm having trouble updating my API key. My old one expired, so I created a new one using the link on the ETM2 page. I've copied and pasted the vCode from the key managment page and ETM is giving an invalid key error. I deleted the new key and created another just to see if it was a weird transient error but the second new key also showed as invalid. Any thoughts on what could be happening?
Thanks! |

I just checked and it seems like there's some issues communicating with the eve api at the moment. Maybe try waiting until they sort them out.

Is it possible to "reset" ETM? I've bought alot of stuff that I've used myself so the calculated profit is probably not 100% correct. I would like some way to unlink(?) all orders and make a fresh start.
I hope you understand what I'm talking about. |

Hi,
Currently seeing a tax issue when proxying orders from a citadel near jita 4-4. Profit calculations seem to assume full tax on buy orders, as opposed to the 0.1% at the citadel.
Throws profit calculations quite a bit off :)
Beyond that - great tool!
Edit: to clarify, buy order is set up 1 jump off jita with 1 jump range, and the tax seems to be applied when my buy orders are filled in jita 4-4. |

Hello
Yes, tax is currently calculated based on which station the orders were fullfilled. There is an option to disable npc station broker fees to alleviate this issue if that's your main way of trading.

Would this not disable it for sell orders as well? I only evade the taxes on buy orders this way. |

I seem to have an issue, as values of my wallet, sellers and buyers are incorrect.
Even if for some days I broke 1,6 B in total worth (actually while writing this I've crossed 1.7B already) ETM still displays 1.5ish B for some reason.
Is this normal, is there a parameter I'm missing ? |

No need to investigate - i didn't mean that it is not disabling it for both buy and sell orders. What i mean is, i only get the low tax (0.0-0.1%) on buy orders at the citadel, but i'll still have to pay full broker's fee on sell orders as the items are in jita 4-4.
I'll just go with disabling taxes and guesstimating. |

I have been idle for a while but I'm back now and custom taxes for only sell or buy orders are currently being worked at. As for the missing net worth, can you give me some details on what's wrong?
There's also a new feature some users requested that's quite useful as well: https://evetrademaster.com/blog/item-history-page-preview/
