can someone please explain what a skill listed as "limited" mean?
is it available but hard to find? or what? what tips me off is the "salvager drones" skill.. there are salvager drones?

Umm not sure where it says limited but ...
there are some skills that have been available bit not now.
salvage drone operation was seeded on some starter missions - now removed [there are no salvage drones]
mobile factory | refinery where skills that where available for a while but now not
Astronautic Engineering was available from mission drops for a while and on the market when all the invention science skills where released [it was then removed after a while as it has no research fields]
black market trading was available as a starter skill only, up to the introduction of the new blood lines - which recreated the starter options .. I'll never get that one :-(

I seems I can only load one of my characters using the Eve API. Any ideas as to how to add more? (I get an error "character name already in use")

A suggestion, which has been made before (i think):
Only include API-verified characters in rankings (and with that, top 10's). That alone would prevent a lot of fakes from popping up in the first place - although i haven't seen a lot of those lately.
But it would also prevent people putting characters on there purely for ranking reasons, and then never updating anymore to keep their position (this one for example).

Is there a way to link to a characters page if you only now the Characters name?
I would like to use this for a killboard mod which would link to ineve to check a charactes skills.
Something like http://ineve.net/skills/character.php?char=RiotRick would be nice to have.

I think there's been some sort of hiccup, or those Achura really are all that and a bag of potato chips. Check out L3xus. Somehow I highly doubt there's a character out there with over 300 mill sps in Mechanic category.

I seriously doubt Genasi has 7.6 mill in Learning either

There are a lot of blatant FAKES on ineve, I suspect the whole of the top 10 ranked characters in the learning catagory are fakes.
The maximum possible sp for all 11 learning skills is 5,376,000.
Yes im aware there was a time when you could earn extra sp by using stuff effected by the skill, but by several million sp as these toons claim? very unlikely....
And most of those toons are not old enough to have benefited from that old mechanic anyway....

Im not sure you can get it removed outright. Just remove the api and dont update it again.

Yep, I did this ages ago but the only problem is that the site still shows my starting attributes and the old implants I had installed. So it wouldn't be too hard to work out what my attributes are now? I would also advise people to make all their skills not visible before cancelling their api key. This way no one can see what skills you have already learnt.
Here's another bit of info I found out, I e-mailed the people who make EVEMon, asking them if they have had any contact with Sara and why they have a link in their program to a site that they don't support? they said they have had no contact with Sara also but they still have they option in their program to send info to ineve.net? I think this option should be closed down until we know the future of www.ineve.net :/
