This is the eleventh BMBE shareholder report.
- Dividend and BMBE re-investment
- Forecast
Real short one this time
Dividend and BMBE re-investment
December dividend : 2,481,280,000 ISK This equals to 1,240,640 ISK per share
December BMBE re-investment : 1,240,640,000 ISK
Worth of notice is that this is the largest re-investment sum to date.
Dividend will be paid out in the comming week
Forecast The forecast is based solely on the profit of existing loans and thus doesnt take into consideration if new loans will be made during the month. Theres several RISP loans active, who potentially could end during the month - This is not accounted for.
January dividend forecast : 4,138,240,000 ISK Which equals 2,069,120 ISK per share
January BMBE re-investment : 2,069,120,000 ISK
If no loans ends (or defaults) this will be another re-investment record - Topping the numbers for this month (december). It will also become a record month, income wise for the BMBE. The dividend record is still held in June 2006 (4.240.000.000 ISK), and the only reason this record isnt broken (but it's close), is due to some of the income now beeing used for re-investment, which it wasnt back then.

So this period was substantially more successful than a few of the others in the past. Mind outlining what, if anything, you've been doing different, and whether you think these divdends will be sustainable?

The diference i belive is that BMBE is being run by Ray Mackormak and not Tornsoul as it was before.
I welcome this change, and it has clearly paid.

Perhaps it is simply the nature of the business that some months are very slow and some months are more profitable.

It is almost certainly because Ray is actually trying to run BMBE properly.

If I'm not mistaken, Ray is gone from EvE till April or something . Tornsoul or Ray, it doesn't matter to me, I like both and will continue to use BIG's services.

There is one single reason for this:
There are new BPO's in the Tech2 lottery, which hit the auction market. So there is more need for fast money than in months where no new BPO's drop.

If I am not mistaken most if not all of the loans were given out before the BPOs were reseeded or distributed.

I don't think there is "one reason" for the improvements.
It's rather a combination of just about all of the reasons already mentioned.
The re-seeding of the T2 BPO's is however my favorite for the main (not sole) contributor.

Speaking as a customer and shareholder, I'd like to suggest doing away with the RIFL loan structure. I think it is too inflexible for the advantage of gaining a single interest point, particularly when RISPs have the refinancing option. You also (unless I'm mistaken) accrue interest on the full balance over the entire loan period, whereas with refinancing on RISPs, I could lower my total interest cost 4 weeks in to the loan.
I think you would lower your default risks considerably and save yourselves some administrative headaches. It does not seem a very attractive product, so we might as well do away with it. ---
