:( I've just lost every I own and I'm running low on ISK.
Whilst trying to complete a mission I kept losing my Rifters. So I invested in mining equipment to raise ISK and I've lost all that as well :(
Lots of people out there enjoying killing and I just can't get ahead

Get yourself bit further away from low/null sec, stay in 0.8+ sec status and try mining there, start slow and be patient. Pretty quick you will have enough money to invest into new rifter or even destroyer. If rats bother you on belts then simply warp to another belt in the same system and continue what you doing.
Also lvl1 missions should be easy with T1 fit rifter. |

Are you doing the SOE epic arc? If so, some of those missions are designed to encourage you to make friends. Try asking for help in local where the mission is offered; it's very common for vets to help a newbro beat down on Dagan.
Also be aware that the rules of engagement change drastically when you go from 0.5 space to 0.4 (considered "lowsec"). People can (and will) shoot you freely on sight without any action by CONCORD.
It's not all bad though. Try talking to the people who kill you and see if they have any advice. They will often reimburse your cheap ship if you have a good attitude, and more importantly there is a lot you can learn from other players. It's one of the better ways to find a corp home for yourself. Talk to all kinds of people and find some you get along with. Eventually you'll get invited to join a decent group.

'd recommend focusing on Missioning/combat side of making isk, that way you can use those same skills later for PVP
For now, run lvl1 missions until you can afford a cruiser. The lvl2s pay a bit better
If you find the missions hard, its probably because of how you're fitting your ship.

are you doing missions in lowsec? I see several killmails in LS, a couple of ventures and rifters. Remember the first rule of Eve, never fly what you can't afford to lose. Stick to HS until you can afford to lose those rifters ships, then try lowsec.
I applaud you for being willing to risk your ship at such a young age, but don't go to LS in the hops of making faster money yet. First you have to learn to survive in LS, and you need a lot of paranoia and skills in GTFO.
Remember than no matter what you lose, you always have your rookie ship and that is good enough for level 1 missions or HS ratting in asteroid belts.
For now I\suggest no more mining in LS, learn low-sec survival https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Rookie_Lowsec_Survival_Guide before going back in LS, and of course build up a small fleet of ships.
Many Eve pilots live their entire lives in HS, so don't feel that you can't make enough isk in HS. If a mission directs you to LS, decline for now. I suggest missioning at a system at least 3 jumps from lowsec, that way you won't get many missions there.

I almost had what i needed just now and then someone jumped in, snared my ship and blew me up. This is just getting irritating now. I can't finish my mission.

Why are you accepting missions that send you to lowsec? You can get all the minerals you need from hisec ores.
There is literally no reason why you should be in lowsec if you cant handle pvp
Also, check local and D-scan. not sure how someone jumps in and snares your ship unless you were afk and werent paying attention. |

don't be afraid to decline the mission. If you need to supply ore, you can probably just buy it off the market to save time. And find a different mission agent, since this one sends you into ls.

Jaspet sites pop up as anomalies in hisec regularly. Get a fast frigate or shuttle and zoom around until you find one, then go pick up your boat. If you're mining in a venture it's even easier. Just travel, mine and dump. |

You can find Jaspet sites in your D-scan in hisec. They will be small, medium or large asteroid sites, and will tell you whether they have jaspet, omber, kernite etc.
But again, you shouldnt be dying in lowsec if youre in a venture, which has a +2 warp core strength, as long as you pay attention. AFK in lowsec, in any ship, is a bad idea. Its mostly a bad idea in hisec too. |

This does not even make sense to me.
There is never any need for you to do anything in this game. You do not "need" to go into low sec ever for anything. You may CHOOSE to go there but there is no need.
Low sec is where you go for PvP if you don't want to PvP don't go to low sec. You are making this game way more difficult than it needs to be. |

Save the low sec mining until you get good at watching D-scan and preferably can fly a Prospect.
Why do you specifically need Jaspet?
As pointed out above you scan down jaspet in hisec. According to this page here it may be worth trying Heimatar, Lonetrek or Metropolis.

As pointed out above you scan down jaspet in hisec. According to this page here it may be worth trying Heimatar, Lonetrek or Metropolis. According to the cerestes ore chart : http://ore.cerlestes.de/#site:ore
currently Jaspet is going for about 24% more than Veld. With the amount of ship looses the OP is talking about he could mine veld and sell it and use the isk to buy jaspet and be better off isk wise than either loosing lots of ships trying to mine in low or spending large amounts of time roaming around high sec looking for scannable Jaspet site. Also he could probably mine null sec ores which are worth even more in either NRDS null or even wormhole space more safely than low sec and if he really wanted to do it on a regular basis he could join some sov null corp and wind up deep in blue null sec space mining null sec ores more safely than in high sec.
The OP has been in the NC Q&A non-stop since he started which tells me that he refuses to get involved in game with other players like finding friends or joining a corp or something. Not that I have an issue with new players asking question here that is what it's for. But when you come in here and ask questions and are told repeatedly that this is a group game and you need to make friends, don't go out and solo the game and then come back here and tell us it's too hard.
Eve is not the other MMOs out there where you can solo pretty much everything. I played other MMOs and leveled all of the tradeskills to max level and got the cool rare recipes etc... In Eve I tried building my own Jump Freighter and spent over a year trying to build the thing myself from scratch from materials that I gathered my self because that's what I did in other MMOs. In the end after spending nearly a year and a half I wound up having to buy most of the moon mats or partially reacted mats off of the market to finish the ship off.
Eve is not a solo game. Eve is not a game where you can do everything yourself. In Eve you have to pick something and get good at it and then buy other stuff with the isk that you make doing what you are good at.
Yes you can branch out you don't have to stick to one thing that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying get decent at one thing and then move onto the next thing. But if you are going to come to this game as a brand new player and try to do everything yourself then this game is going to be like smacking your face against a brick wall for fun.
Don't get me wrong I've smacked my face against a brick wall for fun before, I'm not criticizing the OP for that. I'm criticizing the OP for doing it and then complaining to us that his face hurts. |

Where have you been missioning, what kind of missions and what are you flying? It's not normal to lose ships in missions. |

You know you have 36,000 people logging into the server daily, all competing to sell stuff cheaply, including Jaspet. Nothing differentiates their Jaspet from other Jaspet, and only the cheapest will sell. So, guess what the best strategy is?
Pick an activity that's somewhat safe and makes you money, and use that money to buy what you need. Including Jaspet. It's not 'taking a shortcut' or 'cheating', it's 'being smart.'
This game is NOT a solo game. You cannot do everything yourself, and this is on purpose. It's an MMO. Use the market. |

As Memphis says, use the market.
Mine what you can, sell it, and buy the additional minerals you need.
Serious manufacturers do this, as we can easily blow through the output from several miners per day.

use market or use a venture with a wcs fitted. if someone scrams u just warp off.
and dont listen to anyone who tells u to go mining in ama.
edit wcs = warp core stabilizer
basically it makes u harder to scram
the venture has one wcs built in so if u put another on there u cant be scrammed (by one ship with one tech2 scram or lower)
the gnosis that killed you would have landed long before he could lock u. u may need to unfrak ur overview... |

I know that feeling but yeah, starting out in low or null sec generally isn't a good idea as others have pointed ut, you're just making yourself a bright bouncy ball for the locals to play with.
If you want to maximize your profits from mining make sure anomalies is checked in your scanner, this will show you Omber, Jaspet, Ice deposits etc which is more valuable but can be trickier to mine. As for rats train up your drone skills and fill your drone bay with some Hobgoblin's, warping to other belts whenever they show up will just waste time and ISK.
Most importantly, don't buy what you can't afford to loose!

That extends to cargo, not just ships and modules.
If losing the current haul could make you rage quit then split it into smaller runs or just pay Red Frog to move it.
