The new EVE Launcher has left its beta status on December 18th, 2015.
We welcome you to check out the EVE Launcher with all its new features, improved diagnostics tools, and clear design. The download pages have been updated accordingly and are ready for you. The classic Launcher is still available for download, but is only suggested for Windows XP users.
If you are already using the new EVE Launcher, you donGÇÖt need to do anything extra and can simply continue using it at your leisure. While you can continue using the classic EVE Launcher, we recommend that you switch over to the new Launcher (not available for WinXP).
Please use this thread for feedback, to report issues, and to suggest improvements.

Had a look again. I just set up a few bookmarks on my account using the 'old' launcher. I then went back and fired up the same account using the new launcher. Open View->Client Settings and dragged my settings from the left hand box over to the right hand box. Then opened the client using those settings, voila. Bookmarks available.

It should offer to import them the first time you run. You can always do that later as well, from the drop down menu, Client Settings.

But first it fails to update itself automatically (when the beta launcher starts updating, it close itself, then an empty console appears and does nothing). And second when you manually download the new launcher, this thing refuse to install itself in an non-empty folder. Thanks Sherlock, I know this folder isn't empty and that exactly why I want you to install there, I don't want to download whole EVE again.
Can you help me?
In case it's the path it doesn't like, it looks like that : E:\Games\CCP\EVE You should absolutely install in an empty folder - not where your existing install lives. The shared cache will be the same as your previous install, it won't download all the resources again.

Try running as administrator, see if that helps. I suspect that there are some permission issues. Did you upgrade from Windows 7, by any chance?
You may need to take ownership of the C:\ProgramData folder, and also look under %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore - delete any files under the CCP folder, if it exists there. There are some weird permission issues going on in Windows 10 after an upgrade that I haven-¦t been able to fully understand.

Why does the new Launcher install create a new folder on my hard drive, in a different place from where my old pre-existing EVE install is? I imagine that this will cause all of EVE's files to be installed in this new folder, regardless of the fact that almost all of them already reside on my hard drive, in the old folder, so that twice as much space is taken up as is necessary? Who failed to think this through? (I know I can choose to install the launcher in a different folder from the default C:\EVE one, but that's beside the point. The default folder for the new installer ought to be the same as the default folder has been all along. There's no way around the fact that the folder thing is ********.) Click Yes to change permissions on the folder, or No to exit." However, clicking "Yes" only causes another error: Quote:"Failed to fix permission of shared cache folder. Please ensure that the folder C:/EVE/SharedCache is writeable." I installed EVE in C:\Program Files (x86)\EVE, not C:\EVE. So it's looking in the wrong place for this folder. Also, from the logs: Quote:2015-12-21T01:51:18.048ZdebugCache folder: "C:/EVE/SharedCache" 2015-12-21T01:51:18.048ZdebugApplication dir: "C:/Program Files (x86)/EVE/Launcher" It looks like many other parts of the launcher are told to look specifically in C:/EVE instead of the custom location, too. I will look into this. These folders need to be writeable - the shared cache is where every resource gets downloaded to. The install folder gets written to whenever the launcher is updated - if that folder is protected, you will need to accept elevated privileges whenever it updates. The shared cache should go where you tell it to, though, even if it may need changing permissions.

Sorry for stupid questions =/ Yes, you need to download and install it separately. The bulk of the data lives in the shared cache, which will not need to be downloaded again.

i.e. I am on my own.
Thanks. I'll see what I can do to help, but I need details. I'm assuming you're experiencing trouble with the launcher - are you running the new launcher? If not, please give it a try. If that still doesn't work, please file a bug report, attaching the logs from the launcher - %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher and describe your symptoms in detail.
Reinstalling the new launcher does not mean you will have to download everything again - the launcher install is a 50MB download - if you have EVE previously installed it will use the shared cache so any resource you have already downloaded will not be downloaded again.

I can't even file a bug report. I think I am giving up on EVE. This is the universe's way of telling me the addiction is over.
This could be caused by failing to upload an attachment (I can remember a very similar bug, not sure if this was fixed) - could you please try to zip the attachments before attaching them? You can also try to send the bug report first and then attach the files afterwards.

Apparently I was on the old launcher. I had installed the files I was pointed too before but I guess I needed to do the whole thing over. This one looks completely different and behaves like the dev blog says it should.
Now my question is, how do I have it import my old resources folder over? My old settings over?? From the drop down menu, select Client Settings.
In the dialog on the left hand side you should see the settings folders for your existing clients - drag the one you want to migrate over to the right hand side, then rename it to what you want.
You can always redo this if you think something went wrong - the new launcher does not delete anything from the old.

When the launcher updates itself, it change or remove "launcher.exe" and substitute it with "evelauncher.exe"
This change isn't recognized by "eve.exe" in "x:\CCP\EVE"-folder, it will try to start "launcher.exe" which is now non-existent.
By manually changing the name "evelauncher.exe" back to "launcher.exe" fixes this. You are not intended to install the new launcher on top of the old one - it should be installed in an empty folder.

If you click the cog-wheel next to your account name and choose 'Manage Profiles', you will get a pop-up window offering you to migrate your old settings to the new launcher. You can drag your settings from the left side over to the right side, and they will then become available for you to use in the new launcher. Mind you, you will also have to choose which settings to use, as the new launcher will automatically use the 'default' settings. Just click the appropriate setting profile after managing your profiles.

Sithlord Revan wrote:Still no reply yet to my post 2 pages back regarding the long load-up time of the launcher when starting it up for the first time each day. It's pretty frustrating because I was previously someone who used eveexe.exe in the past but made the switch to the new launcher because it was easier launching 3 accounts at once. It seems that I've traded the speed of eveexe.exe starting near instantaneously (but having to manually type in 3 account credentials) for the ability to launch them at once but having to wait between 45 seconds to several minutes for the new launcher to "copy files" and what not each time I start it up -- i.e. it's a wash. I'm also not sure why the "play selected button" is available when the launcher is telling me "please wait..." and eventually "copying files" -- if I press play, I get an error that the files are in use and have to tell it to wait/retry later (when the launcher calms the hell down). Really hoping to get an answer about this soon, thanks! Please file a bug report, attaching the launcher logs (%LOCALAPPDATA%/CCP/EVE/Launcher). Something is obviously not right, hopefully the logs will shed some light.

Got one "issue" though, if i may call this an 'issue'. I was used to have 3 different installation of Eve on my harddrive for my 3 different accounts. I used to launch all of them with 3 separate shortcuts on my task-bar, because i loved to have launchers still opened on my Windows Task-Bar if i had to switch from [Character #1] to [Character #2] of my [Account A]. And thanks to that, i had therefore 3 separate opened clients, in a certain order. http://i.imgur.com/S94xoXv.png With new launcher though, all my 3 clients are stacked together. Is there a way, with launcher, or in Windows to de-stack those clients ? Is this something doable by 're-writing' launcher ? Are there other players out there that are seeing this as an 'issue' as well ? You can tell Windows not to stack items in the task bar. That's a global setting, though, it won't be specific to EVE clients.
In Windows 7, right-click the Start icon, hit Properties, select the Taskbar tab and change the setting for Taskbar buttons. I would expect the behavior to be similar in other versions of Windows.

Martin Vanzyl wrote:Launcher being sneaky
So far I've had a good experience with this new launcher, way better than the first version.
My only problem so far is that this one is downloading files and patching seemingly even when it shows 'Ready' after a patch had already been visibly downloaded and installed - and it doesn't disclose how much data its pulling/ percentage etc. You can only see it via looking at network usage, and in the taskbar icon (which shows the download progressing in green as most other browsers do). Its a nitpick, but I'd like to know what this thing is doing fully at all times, since I have to watch my data usage due to data caps etc.
If you see a green progress bar after Tranquility is shown as ready, it is downloading data for the test servers, Singularity and Duality. You can go to settings and disable the test servers if you need to minimize data usage.

Healer Xadi wrote:I installed the launcher and client fresh on a new machine and they work great. I liked the new launcher and tried installing it on another machine that already had an older version of the launcher installed. The install appears to finish, the final dialog comes up with the run now box checked, I click Finish and the dialog goes away, then nothing. Task Manager shows evelauncher.exe running with around 5MB of memory and no CPU or other activity. I have left it this way for hours and no difference. I uninstalled and removed all of the Eve related folders I could and tried repeatedly with the same results every time. I am running Windows 10.
I end up with C:\EVE containing a Launcher folder with the Launcher files and folders under it. A SharedCache folder that is empty. And 7 other files in the root of this folder. The folder C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\Launcher has launcherlog-*.txt files that are 0 length.
What other information can I supply to help troubleshoot this? Could you try installing the latest dev version from here:
http://binaries.eveonline.com/EveLauncher-1000300.exe
I've added some logging and shuffled some things around in the initialization to hopefully get some useful info out of the logs. Please send me the log files in EVE mail.
Thanks for your help in tracking down this issue!

Sturmwolke wrote:I like this new launcher, coming from someone who'd been harshly critical of the old launcher The built-in logging/network diagnostic tool is a good addition that ensures problem ticket consistency and minimum hassles for the player. The rest of the features are just icing on the cake. Thus far, this new launcher has been smooth with zero hiccup. It's a good sign. My feedback: 1. A short step-by-step knowledge base for transitioning from the old launcher should be pro-actively created to help the less IT literate crowd. 2. Background download for Singularity/Dualty etc should be made highly VISIBLE. A simple green bar isn't explicit enough. It leaves the crowd guessing. 3. The launcher locks the shared cache files when it does background download (I had the DL everything enabled), any login attempts coughed up file permission error. If intended, it ought to be error trapped and launcher should grey out any logins and pop out an info msg to remind players to wait until the background DL finishes. 4. The server switching is at an odd unintuitive place in the upper left. It isn't readily apparent to a first time user that you could switch servers from that panel. Imo, it should go into the left vertical panel and assigned an icon. The server ticker e.g. Tranquility Online 16,714 could then be placed top center (near or above the login window) as a simple text panel and enlarged. 5. There should be a "Profile Management" tab under settings. Managing profile is currently too convoluted by requiring a login and passwd. 6. Top right "E" button is an oddity that's feels out of place. Why not keep it consistent with the Neocom "E" placement ingame ... or at the very least, the icon should be swapped for the standard cog wheel icon. Thanks, I'm glad you like the new launcher, and thank you for those suggestions.
The first one is already in the works, and we'll take the other suggestions under consideration.

I tell you what I thought: 'Let's install the latest OS X version and see what happens.' Installed it, works, your launcher is happy, so am I. However, your way of communicating my Bug Report as well as your silent changing of the version number on the download page is not quite what I expect from you. The least thing could have been a short note like 'Thanks for finding the typo.' That is not Customer Service V. But that's just me. Best regards, Tass o7 I'm glad to hear the launcher works now.
Here's what I commented on the bug report:
My apologies, the text on this page is inconsistent. If you look below in System Requirements the minimum listed is OS X 10.9. I'll make sure the text there is updated to accurately reflect our system requirements.
I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and I'm sorry if you feel our service is not as it should be.

That in itself was already a happy occasion.
After completion of the download, it starts counting down towards the next update. I let it count to 0 and then the background task was started without any further feedback whatsoever.
So something changed, but the end result is still the same. If I can do anything to get this show back on the road, please let me know.

trying the official installer again, hope that works. If the launcher isn't starting up, or is just displaying a white window, try setting an environment variable called QT_OPENGL, either to 'desktop' or 'angle'.
You can set an environment variable by right-clicking on your computer in the Start menu, select Properties, then Advanced System settings, then Environment Variables...
In the dialog that comes up, add a new System variable. Enter 'QT_OPENGL' in the name field, and 'desktop' in the value field (without the quotes).

I usually don't mess that deep into the catacombs of my computer. I'm wondering how the previous versions of the launcher were able to show me their contents as this parameter wasn't set then. Yes, but this is a workaround for now. Apologies for making this complicated, but I haven-¦t found a setting that works for everyone.

Wiped pc and installed win10. Decided to start fresh with client settings as well. Set acct 1 up somewhat and attempted in various ways to clone settings to other accts using profile manager but no luck. Does it work and im missing something, or is that business about elevating char settings to global level or something still in the works?
If it isn't how does one go about this now? Was using garpaui before but that seems obsolete now with the changes and not sure if the manual copy/pasting ids method still applies either.
Like the new launcher btw. Would be nice if the whole multi-accting thing could be unified and all characters exposed to the launcher. Kinda sucks to keep track of multiple accts with different billing periods. The settings will be overhauled in the near future, hopefully.
We are also looking into exposing characters to the launcher.
No dates on either of these, but it is being looked at.

Currently there is problem that UAC or even just the cmd window breaks fullscreen games (e.g. EVE) and requires you to return to desktop. Also for me UAC breaks mouse for 5s till I can press UAC ok, and then another 5s to get it back (I'm using synergy and it needs to reconnect to server when privileges are changed). So if I would be in combat, I couldn't do anything for total of 10 seconds. Luckily this does have not happened during combat so far.
So back to original suggestion, I think the automatic count down should be some how stopped. If anything else, settings option to disable the counter. I know that I need to update the launcher, when it suits me (but asap).
ps. love the new launcher! Good point, I'll look into this.

I love the multi-account launcher. I used it through it's beta. It's not in beta anymore. Fix it or find someone who can. Please file a bug report, attaching the logs from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher, as well as updatelog.txt from your shared cache location. I am sure that as a fellow developer you share the frustration of dealing with bugs that only occur out in the field, where you have to rely on the kindness of your users to help you fill in the details of the issue at hand.
If you mention my name in the bug report title I'll be sure to find the report and give it the priority it deserves.
Please make sure that you were not running the development version - it is expected that it may break from time to time, and there was no update to the release version today (only the dev version).

Hey everybody!
Regarding those "pesky " certificate errors some of you receive. (see here for an example: https://twitter.com/CCP_Bugartist/status/702450237760217088https://twitter.com/CCP_Bugartist/status/702450499929444352)
The new launcher does a nice job with verifying the certificates of the endpoints it connects to (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_key_certificate). If this verification fails for any reason, you will receive a warning message/popup like shown in my tweets above.
There can be a lot of reasons why the verification fails. Some of them are:
There are more reasons on why you might receive a certificate error from the launcher, but these are the most common ones. This is why the launcher allows you to ignore the error and continue. But, you should only click this ignore button if you know what you do and if you understand the risk.
What can potentially go wrong? Well, if you communication with our endpoints/servers is not secured and properly authenticated, a potential attacker can steal your username and password in order to compromise your EVE accounts. Or, someone could inject his own files into an update the launcher downloads and thereby install a backdoor/malware on your computer.
So, what should you do when you receive this certificate error? Make sure you have a secure connection to the internet and try again. That is, if you are connected via an open, unencrypted wifi or, if you are using a shared wifi or wired connection even if it is encrypted, the risk of someone trying to tamper with your connection is a lot higher. If you are connection from a business/company network and you receive this error, go talk to your admins and/or security team. If it happens while you are on your own, private and not shared internet connection from home, please open a support ticket and let us know about this issue.
I hope this post will help a bit to understand where the certificate errors can come from and what you can do about it.
Thanks and fly safe, CCP Bugartist |

When I attempted to use the repair tool It simply disappeared from the games directory~
I can't seem to find any obvious link to download the new launcher and If I attempt to download straight from the website It wants me to completely reinstall my game. This is not an acceptable choice, because I'm from Australia, downloading EVE would take upwards of 50 hours.
What do I do...? Reinstall from the main download page. The download is ~50MB and it reuses the shared cache from a previous install. You won't have to download everything again, even when reinstalling the launcher.
I hope I didn't type this too fast... :)

While the game seems to play from the launcher, any patches that it says it download doesn't apply to the EVE.exe file which makes screen capturing impossible for me. and to add ontop of that pain in the ass all the settings I had have been reset. I don't frikkn remember all those settings.
If you are bypassing the launcher to start the game, note that the executable lives in a new place. There should now be a tq folder under your shared cache folder, containing the client for connecting to Tranquility. Other folders are used for the test servers.
Your shared cache location can be seen from Settings, Shared Cache Settings.
You can then run the game from sharedcachelocation\tq\bin\exefile.exe.
You can migrate your settings from old installations. Click the cog wheel to the right of your account name, Manage Profiles. See https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6304808#post6304808 for more information.

I seemed to get all my settings back.. there is just the small problem that my shared cache folder is completely empty.. Yes I've set the folder options to show invisible files. its still empty and its digital footprint reflects that. In an earlier attempt to fix the problems its had the repair disapeared when I attempted to use it... there is a maintenance tool aswell which simply tells me the game is corrupt and gives me only one option to reinstall. the same thing happens when I attempt to use windows control panel to repair the game. it just gives me one and only option to reinstall from scratch.. Whis is completely un-necessary it still plays from the launcher... I'm so confuse... You must be looking at the wrong location - did you look in Settings, Shared Cache Settings? Use the Show in Explorer button to open that folder up. The game wouldn't run from the launcher if this folder is empty.

You need to add a command line argument to specify the settings profile to use. Add /settingsProfile=Default (or whatever profile you want) to the command line for running exefile.exe.

After the first error message I get an error saying "curl_easy_perform() failed: Unrecognized or bad HTTP Content or Transfer-EncodingHTTP response code: 200". All of that sounds like the audio file isnt being downloaded and that is why I am not able to hear anything, but I am not up to speed on reading these errors. I would think, if I am reading that right, that my audio problem isnt my own hardware or software but an issue with the file I am trying to retrieve from the server? Maybe someone on here can help me out? Thanks. You are correct, the problem appears to be with the download of the file. Please file a bug report from within the game, we'll look into this.

The EVE launcher is super tiny on my Surface Book. On my 2k desktop monitor it looks fine, but on the Surface Book's 3000x2000 screen it is crazy small.
I assume this is because of the weird resolution of the surface. I hope there is an option to make it larger in the future. Just drag a corner to enlarge..... This is due to Qt 5.5 not handling the scaling correctly. Qt 5.6 handles it better, but there are some blocking issues with upgrading I have to sort out before I can switch the launcher over to that.

1) when switching servers, we have to login all over again. I realize that account validation must occur per server (and yes I refuse to let the launcher "remember" logins), but I hope the new launcher at least defends against mimikatz attacks and could allow us to enter passwords once, and then login to any server by simply selecting it from the pull down menu at arbitrary times in the future.
2) why isn't the profile selection (per account, per server) saved? If we exit the launcher, the Default profiles are again selected regardless of the profile selected the previous time the launcher was used. Am I missing something? Is there a way to make certain profiles the "permanent" default? And, btw, it would be nice if these selections were saved immediately in case, say, a graphics card thermal even causes the OS to crash...
To finish on a positive note, thankfully we can finally have a profile with music (audio) turned off so that only one instance plays the juke box! (yes I actually listen to [some of] the EVE music :D )
The profile selection is saved, or is supposed to be. For some reason we-¦re seeing reports similar to yours that it doesn't save but we've not been able to reproduce that inhouse. We're still investigating that issue.

YOU SIR, ARE AWESOME! I just got the mapObjects crc check error and nothing worked (repair.exe, verify cache, delete mapObjects). I had the permission problem some time ago, which I fixed... I guess it was a left over from that time. Strangely I had a clean Win10 installation... why did I had the permission problem in the first place? Do you have the launcher installed under Program Files (or some protected folder like that)? If so, I have a theory that this may be related to updates to the launcher. I hope to have a fix for that sometime next week.

Hey there,
can you reproduce this issue? If so, it would be great to know how you did it. I suspect one thing, which is happening because on how linked accounts is designed in the launcher. When you login to an account, and link another account to it, then you must login to the first account in order to get the linked list back. For example:
If you login to account A, and then you link account B, then account B is linked to account A. If you login to account A, then you will see account A and B in the list. However, if you login to account B, then you won't see account A. Account A maintains the linked list, because the linked list is stored on the first account that you login to.
This was originally done because we wanted people to be able to maintain many linked lists. But I'm going to discuss this with the launcher team and see if we can do this differently, in a way that's less confusing. E.g. allowing users to define account groups themselves, and selecting which group to use when opening the launcher.

Because the new launcher implements download on demand and shares identical files between, say, public test and live versions of Eve, it has a totally different scheme for organizing the game data. It will either download the data as your client needs it, or you can check the "Download Everything" box in settings and it will download the entire client into the new structure. Once this happens, you should be good to remove your old Eve install completely.
Be sure to check out the sticky Migrating settings from old launcher to new to ensure that you retain all your settings before removing any old Eve files.

Then there is the Ready to Play message at the bottom, but it is obvious that the launcher is downloading something. And I cannot find anywhere what is downloading. More than that, why does it say Ready to Play, when it is not. Once it finishes, then the game starts.
I want the old launcher back. At least is was simpler and did less things, and I got to the game quicker.
Itano
There is no reason to hate. Go to Settings, Launch Options and enable Auto play on login. The launcher will now start a client as soon as you are logged in. Combine this with remembering your account and there are no clicks to get into the game.
The launcher by default downloads updates for two test servers, Singularity and Duality. This allows you to play on our test servers and try out upcoming features. Another benefit is that patches to the main server are often considerably smaller on patch days as the content has been released on the test servers beforehand. If you don't want this, go to Settings, Test Servers and disable both of them.

Circumstantial Evidence wrote:Ladeon Six wrote:it's a huge pain already to launch one by one via the server list in the launcher. I'm not sure why you need to go there, but I only used one settings file for my accounts. A few small things were shared between them, but more and more settings over time have been migrating to server side, per-character. The new launcher makes it possible to launch all accounts on TQ with a single click of the "Play Selected ( number)" button. My experience with exefile is similar, it seems to pick up default settings. I used to keep the old launcher configured for one account so I could easily close and relaunch that account to switch characters, and start a second account with exefile, but not anymore. The new launcher makes it easy to launch multiple accounts from a single UI. Some feedback for CCP: I have walked a number of current players through new launcher setup, and find it does not always store migrated settings properly during the first run of setup. Players will copy the settings file from the left side to the right in the client settings window, click "close" then log in an account... and find themselves watching the Intro movie all over again, stuck in default settings. They close out everything and recheck client settings, and discover "default" in the list. For best results, I'm advising players to not log in an account after the client settings screen is closed. Instead close the launcher, and restart it. Players may see a message about purging obsolete files. Once that's complete, go back to the client settings screen in the launcher, and double-check that your settings file selection was copied from the left side of the window, to the right, and remove "default," if its there. Close and restart the launcher one more time to check that the client settings window shows what you expect, and you should be good to log in accounts from that point.
Thanks for the feedback. We've gotten reports where it seems that the settings aren't being copied (or at least not being used). One thing that you do have to do after copying the settings is to select the profile you want to use for your account. If you don't and if the default account is present in the settings list, you will get the default settings. Not sure if this is relevant to the setups you have witnessed.

I have exactly the same problem. However, the problem seems to be provoked by the computer sleeping. If I exit eve launcher completely and sleep/wake the computer, then restart eve launcher, then everything is fine. If I leave eve launcher running in the background (as it is supposed to be, right?!) then I have a 100% guaranteed failure rate after returning after the computer went to sleep. Up until the last update, this was sort-of working. Sleep/wake would cause the annoying red boxes, but a refresh got rid of them. After the most recent change, Sleep/wake causes the red boxes *and* clears the saved accounts. I have the same problem on both Win7 and WIn10. My network is set to DHCP and IPv6 autoconf. There are a brief few seconds after wakeup when there is no network connectivity. I have been meaning to test the theory that this is involved but have not got around to it yet. Could you send me your launcher logs? File a bug report with details on the issue, attaching the log files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher. Luscius Uta wrote:When I type in credentials for one of my accounts, I want the launcher to give me a list of all my accounts. That's what happened in some previous launcher versions, and apparently, that's what the new Pin option does. However, the launcher says that pinning an account is insecure. But the term "insecure" is quite vague and I would like to know what it really means. Does it merely mean "if someone hacks one of your accounts and logs in on the same computer they will get access to all your accounts" (I'm fine with that since that's something that's not likely to happen), or it means something more serious, like "this will store your username and password in plain text on this computer" (that's something I might not want)? The first scenario is correct. The launcher stores a refresh token, not the password.
If you suspect someone obtained that token from your machine, you can invalidate it from the account management page, under account activity. It is also invalidated if you change your password.

Lance Gallan wrote:This is getting quite frustrating, heh. As others have mentioned the saved accounts are getting deleted at random. I had just added back over 20 accounts yesterday and once again today they are all gone. It's been about 6 times now I've had to add them all back.
Is there some kind of dev acknowledgment of this issue? As I see a lot of "solutions" being thrown around but no actual acknowledgment of the issue itself. For now I will stick to using the old 3rd party solution for logins as this just isn't worth the effort. Please do keep us up to date as to when this issue has been resolved. Make sure the accounts are pinned, otherwise the launcher will not store them.
If that is not the case, could you send me your launcher logs? File a bug report with details on the issue, attaching the log files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher. See https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/202664145-Launcher-Log for more information.

pls advise.. Go to Settings, Shared Cache settings, Permissions... (Fix permissions of cache folder)
See if that helps, otherwise I'd need to see logs. File a bug report with details on the issue, attaching the log files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher. See https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/202664145-Launcher-Log for more information.

Spork Ranger wrote:I may have missed it but is there a fix yet for the tiny launcher on UltraHD resolutions? I can deal with it but it really sucks. Thanks. The dev version now correctly scales according to your settings on Windows 10, at least. I'm hoping to promote that to the release version in a week or so.

Frahja Vailonen wrote:Since no one seems to reply in "Issues, Workarounds & Localization" My posting in the thread "White Screen"... This launcher is giving me serious problems since quite a few days already. Main problem is it regularly brings the error message "Version info not available" at the bottom of the screen. When i restart the launcher after this I#m not able anymore to log in with my characters - getting a white screen with the error message "Couldn't get GUI Version Info - Network access is disabled" Here are the results of what i've done so far: - complete reinstall -> worked from last update until today - starting the launcher as admin -> did not help - Launcher settings "Use system configuration for proxy" disabled -> did not help - Switching between various versions and languages in the lancher -> did not help, too - changing the dns-server to "8.8.8.8" & "8.8.4.4" in the network settings -> my internet connection works - launcher produces still the white screen - rebooting the pc several times and restarting the lancher did also not help - ipconfig /flushdns didn't help either - verifying the shared cache also didn't solve the problem ... The launcher is broken ... Need help - i'm paying for a service i cannot use Greetings from Germany Your best bet is get official support by filing a support ticket at https://support.eveonline.com. The forums are primarily for players helping each other out, although us devs try to help as much as we can in our spare time.

Make sure there are no clients running, then go to Settings, Shared Cache Settings and press Verify.
This should get rid of any corrupt files.
