In my short career I've managed to leave loot and small ships all over the place at many different stations.
Is there no way to sell stuff that's at a station different from the one I'm at?
If no, seems odd that in the far future there's no way to sell things remotely.
Thanks. |

There are a few market skills which allow you to set up remote buy/sell orders. They still require you to be within a few jumps of the location (or within the same region if you have trained them up to 5 IIRC). This probably isn't the case most of the time so they aren't that useful unless you're doing regional trading.
The better way would probably be to set up a lump public contract and list all the stuff there for a "reasonable" price. Someone will eventually realize it's a good deal and buy it up to ship/resell. You can do that from the assets list and don't have to be nearby.

Yeah, as cara said, you can, but you need to train the skills for it.
If I remember correctly they're a fairly short train..
By the way if its actual crap that you just want rid of you can right click and trash it from the assets window.
Better the Devil you know.

Open your assets Window. Mark the items. Right click and choose Contract. Set up a courier contract if you want to get the items hauled by somebody to a central place you choose. Or set up a sell contract if you want to sell the items. |

Centis makes a great point - it's often easier to have all your items couriered to a market hub (jita, amarr, dodixie, rens, hek, etc.) and then sell them. If you set up a courier contract, make sure you put collateral higher than the worth of your items, or the hauler might just steal your stuff! Also if he gets ganked while carrying your things then he will lose out instead of you.

I've actually been opting for Centis' second contract option quite often. If the pile of loot is very diversified and will require a bunch of sell orders to actually make the isk it is worth, once you calculate the cost of moving it and put a value on the time spent selling it in to the equation it is often more efficient to just put it up on contract for sale for around 20% of the value, it will often sell very quickly and you can spend the time you would have spent selling it making more isk or having some fun.
I'm just gonna apologize for the run-on sentence instead of fixing it.

I've bought a few of those firesale contracts and half the time I'm too lazy to bother with moving it to sell it. I have a stack of capital mods in some lowsec station as I flipped the carrier they came with, some prophecy with geckos, something with arbalest launchers somewhere.

Courier contracts work well, I use them all the time. I usually just ship my loot to the first kspace exit then courier it the rest of the way. I usually set a collateral to what it's actual value is +50m or something and then for a reward, 2% of the collateral value is generally acceptable. (assuming you're not in any kind of hurry)
