1st, a question: Were Wormholes originally intended for 'long-term' habitation? I heard in a TS conversation some time ago CCP didn't intend for players to live in WHs, they were not supposed to be 'static' holes. OK,now on the the idea. why not have a device, similar to a POS, let's call it a POG (Player Owned Gate) that can be inserted in to a WH ( insert sexual inuendo here) to make it stable? Now, the POG can only be set up in 0.0 and lower space, has to be fueled like a pos, have a pass code to operate, can have defenses attached, and can only be fueled from the known space side. "But how do I know if the WH is profitable?" That's where pilots like me come in, the Explorers, we find the WH and go in and survey it, record # of planets, what resources on planets, what's in the asteroid belts ,ect. Now CCP would have to make some w-holes worthless, and some priceless. Just wanting to add some dynamic to the game... |

OP; WH stabilizers of one form or another have been suggested here since the dawn of time.
CCP have said WH life, as is, is emergent and not what they intended, Sadly this doesn't change the thrust of your, flawed, argument. |

What CCP has made clear they DO NOT want form wormholes is a way to make a highway through null. They reduced the spawn rate of wandering null sec holes because the big null entities were using them as shortcuts so having a way to keep a wormhole open forever, especially to null, seems pretty much the opposite of what they want from wormhole space. |

Ugg, an other wh stabiliser troll, we should have a counter on this forum for how many times this has been sugested... .
Wh's were not intended to be long term but thanks to the players and the gameplay wh-player created,CCP has accepted the fact that it is to be permanent. Now as your penance to have soild the word of bob, god of wormholes, you will need to get podkilled at least 5 times in a wh.
No local in null sec would fix everything!

it's not to 'stabilize' a WH, the resources would be finite, once the system has been bleed dry, it will not 'regenerate'. remove the POG, move on to the next one. What I am suggesting would give explorers like me a 'job'. Corp hires me to catalog what's in the WH, see if it's worth spending time and materials harvesting the resources in it. |

You can already do this. Corp just has to take the effort to deploy into the wh as the entrance change. This is something most corp manages on their own or through sites like wormholesales (dot) com. Try selling entrances there if that is your desired gameplay. Or you can try joining an existing wormholecorp. Many offer rewards for finding pew/content in wh chains

you're getting it all wrong. what I'm talking about would require the addition of an all new type of wormhole to the game, but I guess CCP has more important things to do...

WHs are good as they are now, IMO. you should put some effort to live inside, and also have a hard time hauling stuff outside, because you can't find a HS exit all the time and you must go through many holes and scan it down.
This is the beauty of w-space, being dangerous and random. I managed once to move all my stuff from null in a Iteron Mark V through a WH chain all the way to highsec without losing everything and it was a big success for me.
What about an idea to respawn data/relic sites forever once you scan them down to have a constant source for ISK ? And maybe if you killed the sleepers once, they should not exist there anymore... (being ironic) |

the only change worth mentioning is to add 1 site into each wh which allways respawns, something to keep people busy, not much isk/h, just something to solo and is less boring than pos spinning and/or scanning the chain ,go back to pos, scanning again, longsotry short, something which allows smaller groups to play with while corpmembers are offline ;) low-class whs have data/relic sites, c4-c6 have nothing imo
