Can not say much about Null space, but out in Low Sec I can't say I've seen any used. (If able to use in low that is)
Would it be possible to tweak their abilities to make them worth using?
Cost would be a good starting place. At approx 50m isk each with a 1 hour life time it seems expensive for a module that may not see any action at all. Price reduction or Life time increasement?
Perhaps reduce the distance it can be deployed from gates and starbase or increase range and include Covert Cyno's in the jamming abilities?
I can see people that hot drop not liking this suggestion already, but you wanted the ability to hot drop, in terms of equilibrium I think player's should be allowed to stop it aswell.
Solo pvp is few and far between, it would be nice to be able to have a 1v1 wether its a straight gank, or equal fight without the fear of a cyno going up.

Citadel is pretty much for Null space. I'm talking about changing the module for both Low and Null.
Aside from that, could always change the way Cynosural Generator's work. In term's or removing them as a module that can be fit to any ship, and restrict them to specialized ship that has no combat ability other than throw away Cyno.
Decreases the hotdrop n blob culture you see so much of these days. Too many people use neutral bait alt's in heavily tanked tech III cruiser's to get fight's.
I think having a dedicated Cyno ship and removing Regular and Covert cyno's as a module would be a good thing for pvp on the whole.
The only people that will cry about it would be those that see hot dropping everything that moves as actual pvp.

But throwing up some ideas here preemptively will not hurt either.
One option , simple enough would be to make the inhibitor recoverable. You deploy, fill it with fuel so it will cost something to operate, when it goes off you need to wait 1 hour of wait period then you can scoop it.
Makes it less of an waste.

I agree that this module sees fairly limited use. I do not think it needs massive adjustments. Slight tweaks here and there would go a long way towards making it more useful.
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

wspace uses them to stop 00 power projection/help arriving, when wh dwellers tackle a carrier running sites, outside of that scenario i've very rarely seen them in space, sadly. However for us they serve great :) |

I like the suggestion about making it auto-unanchor after a LONG period of time..... the other thing that might help them see use is making cyno's a deployable...... or cyno inhibs a module
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.

Not only Null, as the Citadels can be built anywhere, the smaller ones atleast. Also they will most likely be used in Wormholes as well. |

Increased radius would be good to. its only going to stop capital jumps within the 75km, can still drop outside that, and to be fair if your capital cant hit outside 75k you shouldn't be in one.
Idea wise, its good. But range of said "inhibitation" is poor. Need's to be 100 to 150km wide. |
