My name is The Judge and I am proud (and excited) to announce my candidacy for CSM XI.
Who am I?
While I have rolled many characters and been known by many names since late 2003, I have been playing EVE full time since 2008. I have had the privilege to participate in many wars, events and alliances but what I am most proud of is the friendships and connections I have made within the greater EVE community. I strongly believe what makes EVE unique in a ever changing world is the community that shapes and guides the universe we all take part in every time we open up the launcher and log in. EVE is a massive and immerse game fueled by the experiences of its players. It is you, the player, that I would like to represent.
I am currently honored to hold the title of Senior Diplomat and Fleet Commander for the alliance Circle-Of-Two. I am also a proud member of the Circle-Of-Two Alliance Tournament team. While I am currently a member of The Imperium, I have lived for large amounts of time in both High and Low security space. I like to think I have my ear to the ground on the issues facing pilots from all over New Eden. I come to you not only as a candidate for Nullsec, but as a person who wants nothing more than to see EVE continue to succeed, evolve and grow.
Why should you vote for me?
My platform is quite simple. I want to earn your vote and be the person you can voice your concerns, issues, hopes and ideas to. I want to make sure that every good idea and every concern that the EVE community has makes it to CCP and the rest of the CSM. I feel like the issue that continues to persist over the years is the communication barrier between players and CCP, which while I feel that CCP and the current CSM have taken giant steps forward to resolving this once and for all, I feel like I have something to offer.
Whether you are the CEO of your one person corporation or the head of a 40,000 pilot coalition I believe that you should have a voice, and that no one voice should be louder than anyone else's. I believe that everyone has something to say, and that they should be heard. I want to be the person you can contact and always get a reply. The EVE community deserves someone to filter the good from the bad and to present all the relevant information to CCP in a constructive way. Over the years the I have seen the outcries caused by misinformation or misunderstanding lead to many positive changes to be scaled back or downright scrapped. I feel like this is something that is still an issue, and something that with my skills and experience, I can help resolve.
Another issue that has come to the forefront in the term for CSMX is the issue of leaking. This puts extreme stress on the relationship between CCP and the CSM, leading to a ingrained mistrust on the side of CCP. This kind of behavior from the CSM needs to stop. If there is no trust between CCP and the CSM there is no reason for CCP to speak to CSM members at all. This can only be bad for the EVE community. It is my opinion that it is the responsibility of CSM members to uphold their end in their relationship with CCP, and that any breaches should not only be punished by CCP, but should also be openly and transparently condemned by other CSM members. Should I be given the opportunity to serve on CSMXI, it is my promise to do my best to restore the damaged relationship between CCP and the CSM, as well as hold any other CSM's breaching NDA to account.
What are some things I advocate for?
The list of the current (and ever changing) issues that players I have talked to think could be changed or tweaked is ludicrously long, but some of the player perceived issues I have the strongest opinions on are:
GÇó The power of nullified interceptors - The main issue here being that short of using smartbombs, interceptors in the current meta can be completely safe and untouchable. Not only is this frustrating when being on the receiving side of this, but it also goes against the whole idea of "never being safe in New Eden". One idea is to make interceptors nullified to anchorable and light interdictor bubbles, but not immune to the bubble of a heavy interdictor.
GÇó New player retention; particularly the well known "learning cliff" - While part of the draw of EVE is how unforgiving the game can be, it also means that there is a very high barrier to entry which I feel could be lowered even further, potentially with the return to the 900,000 SP starting point for new pilots.
GÇó The current state of war declaration mechanics - It is my opinion that the mechanics of war declaration need to be completely redesigned. Not only is this an issue for Highsec pilots trying to make their start in EVE, but it is also an issue for Lowsec and Nullsec corporations and alliances. The current war mechanics allow entities to declare war on any corporation or alliance for an insignificant amount of ISK and almost no risk to themselves. I feel like in its current state the war mechanics have too low of a cost for the aggressor.
GÇó Lack of new missions and mission variations - Anyone who has ever run missions will understand when I say there is only so many times you can save "The Damsel" before you wonder how she seems repeatedly end up in the same situation after being saved. With a limited rotation for agent missions, EVE for many players becomes incredibly repetitive and tedious. I would like to see some kind of additional rotation to agent missions.
Closing remarks
How can you contact me? Twitter: @_TheJudge Ingame: Mail or convo The Judge
In closing, I urge you to vote when the time comes. There are many dedicated and worthy candidates hoping to make it onto CSM XI. I hope you find me worthy of your vote and to be one of the 14 chosen to represent our amazing and unique community. Thank you.

Me and Judge go back to the days of a Youtuber and Twitch streamer making a full public entrance into EvE and a high sec group/alliance. Needless to say the war decs were chaos the recruitment was chaos and the welping was real. Eve was experienced. Above all, friendship and honour has stayed no matter what chaos i managed to try to cause.

CO2 is blue to CFC. CFC is part of the root cause of a myriad of issues. A real nullsec candidate would only be believable if they were from smaller entities that actually play the game, rather than being pawns in a greater sphere of blues. Why would I vote for someone that only knows how to submit, rather than to prosper on their own. Why would I vote for someone who is grossly out of touch with nullsec by virtue of having thousands of blues?

If you are unable to distinguish or see the finer issues and subtle differences within a coalition like the CFC/Imperium, then you are showing a clear lack of political maturity, which would in my opinion lead to questions in your own CSM thread, not mine.
To assume that all, if any, alliance agrees with everything done within the coalition or that particular alliances are on the same level or wave length of other alliances you are totally and completely wrong. To then accuse me of being out of touch with the political and mechanical nuances of nullsec is absurd. My candidacy for CSM is partly motivated BECAUSE I do understand the differences in culture and goals between the entities within a large coalition. Shouting from the outside pointing the finger underlines a lack of political maturity. Or dare I say it proves that you in particular are powerless to change the thing you claim to oppose.
If your argument is "grr gons, hat gons", I would point you towards a CONDI candidates thread. If your goal is to go into every candidates thread to character assassinate them, I would say people can make up their own minds on who they would like to represent them.
I, for one, stand as a nullsec candidate, not a CFC one. CO2 has historically and culturally, and don't take my word for it, please have some frank conversations with people who can know, a different identity.

While I accept that sometimes a small amount of poison can actually be a fairly effective medicine, the disease of the CFC is not so easily treated.
While you easily say that each entity within the Imperium is it's own thing, and that you wish to speak for null sec foryour own reasons, it just isn't very believable. The north is stagnation, where parts of the south hum with activity; where your leadership sees the need to bulldoze areas like Cloud Ring which were healthy examples of AegisSov working, other entities work hard to bring EvE to it's best by taking risks in null. Let me pull up my personal red list, as it will be your blue list:
Circle-Of-Two Clockwork Pineapple Executive Outcomes Fidelas Constans Get Off My Lawn Goonswarm Federation RAZOR Alliance SpaceMonkey's Alliance Tactical Narcotics Team The Bastion The Initiative. Whole Squid
Being blue, acting in unison with that many entities, does that foster content? No. If you actually understood the first thing about the health of null, you could see how silly you are being. Null is suffocating because of that, and you are part of that. It's made even worse, as its not just something that happened, its premeditated, designed stagnation. If you were some enterprising person from PFR or something, then I could see you as motivated for and by your players, but as a thrall to the CFC, I can see you as only deluded. Every day you remain blue to that, you stifle content, remove conflict, and contribute to the decline of EvE on an epic scale. You speak of a difference in goals; just what IS the goal of CO2, and how is being blue to the largest bloc in the game forward it? How are you really any different from someone in CONDI? It is hard to believe you are, as you say, historically and culturally different from the rest of those blue hugging mega-alliances? I have long learned to judge alliances by what they do, not by what they say.
Literally an arsonist telling people how to put the fires out. I admit that is not an easy sell, and good luck and all, but so long as your alliance is pawn of the CFC, then people are likely going to see you as one too, tacitly approving their behavior.

You sound like a grumpy and bitter German Vic, probably because you actually are.
You clearly have no clue when it comes to the finer aspects of nullsec politics. And to get your response out of the way already, neither do I.
But please do explain me how you going to Iceland will prevent people to work together in a social game. Sorry to burst your bubble Vic, but the CSM doesnt have the tools to change that.
Or maybe you want to push for a limit on the number of blues a corp or alliance can have? Give Southern logi double range? Only against CFC fleets of course, you don't want to upset the balance too much right? You are a one-trick-pony Vic. Shout 'gggggrrrrrr goons' as much as you want, I'm not a goon, The Judge is not a goon, CO2 are not goons.
I'm sure you won't ever understand or accept that - talking about stagnation right - but that's okay. I know CO2 better than you do and you should do a tiny bit more research before you start shitting up people's threads.
Also, any good firefighter will tell you that often you fight fire with fire. Does that make the arsonist a good firefighter or the good firefighter an arsonist? Think about it Vic.

Considering that all of these positive votes are those of Goons i decided i would come out of hiding and do something i would never normally do on the forums.
Post!
Judge has developed a mindset for the betterment of this game, and for our enjoyment while keeping his Goon hungry appetite at bay. Before i mention the typical "well he's my friend yaddyyaddyyah" i would just like to point out the dedication that he puts into everything he does not only inside of CO2, but giving back towards the community of EVE. He is an outstanding candidate and anything short of him winning would be a let down for us as players to be represented appropriately.
I wish you continued success and best of luck with your candidacy!

I met Judge a couple of years ago when he was in another corp in CO2. We used to camp gates together a lot. I, being a noob at the time, learnt a lot from him. He helped me a lot with understanding game mechanics. He knows a lot about this game and sees the bigger picture, not just alliance wise in his position as a diplo, but as a whole about the game. Sometimes when I think something in EVE should be changed by CCP he tells me what could happen if certain ships, modules or mechanics change. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Well I've only been in CO2 for just over 4 months. And since day 1 The Judge has been nothing but helpful. If there is ever anything I need clarified or need more information on The Judge has been nothing but helpful. Same goes for whenever I have a problem, he has always helped out with that. He has been there since day 1 and I think that is something that is very important for a CSM. I'd also like to add that he is the kind of player that leads by example. Which is just another one of The Judge's many leadership traits. I hope he wins, because after all the hard work he puts into the alliance and it's members, if he applies that to the CSM position as I know he will, he deserves to be a CSM. |

Good day. I have been a member for CO2 for 2 months now. The thing that struck me at first when joining this alliance is, i always see The Judge roaming around in his loki chasing neutrals and reds everywhere he can. At first it felt kind of strange, i had only seen his posts on the forums. but then it struck me, our alliance senior diplo actually does undock and shoot bad guys.... and after the first few weeks it felt normal, as it turns out this guy is a true Eve player and not just a "skill training online" player...
And i believe that, that is actually what we need in the CSM. a player that knows how to do small gang pvp and large scale pvp, Not to mention that after speaking with him for a few times he actually knows eve mechanics quite ******* well.

The Judge is one of those rare people you don't come across too often in life and even less often in a place like EVE. Through all of the dark and shady bits of EVE The Judge stands apart. Being incredibly intelligent and very fair he is a man of both tact and composure. If I had to use one word to describe him it would be "Professional." He has the ability to always be positive in the face of extreme odds while still maintaining a realistic frame of mind. Merging seamlessly into any social situation he is able to converse with all types of players on all levels with relative ease. Because of these things he has been an outstanding diplomat and I am proud to call him friend. Most importantly though he is passionate; passionate about EVE and passionate about her players. He believes in our community and wants the best for it. That passion has led him to run for CSM so that he might better the game, better the community, and better our experience.
Our alliance is fortunate to have him and if he is elected to CSM all of EVE will be able to share in that same fortune. It is for these reasons that I will be voting for him and urging everyone I know to do the same.
