I am planning on getting a Medium Citadel once they are out and I wanted to know how much it is going to cost by today's speculations! Also what could I do to bring the cost down for me in advance if anything?
Thank you very much!

If you want one the day Citadel drops, you will pay through the nose. Wait until the market calms down, and the 700m estimate will likely be close to reality.
Personally, I think buying one right out of the gate is a fool's errand. If you want to pay a fair price for one, simply wait.

DId they say where the BPO will be seeded? At least if in some far away nullsec ORE station or all over the cluster, highsec included? They'll prolly spread componets and citadels BPOs enough to make it quite an hassle to have them all on day one anyway. Also, anything on components BPO prices? |

I'm going to guess it'll be seeded mostly in null. I believe it's supposed to be the new consortium that creates citadels so they'll probably be seeded in their null (well Ore, which get just got from Serpentis). I could of course be wrong, but that's my guess lol
I believe I've heard that it's going to use the same components as current outposts, so those are already available and (I'd assume) highly researched. |

It sounds like the restrictions are the same as current POS deloyment. You can put them pretty much anywhere in HS except for a few special systems like Jita/amarr/etc.
They have not said if there would be restrictions on Large/XL in high sec. they did say some of the weapons will not work in highsec.
You can deploy the mediums with an industrial. the large/XL will need freighter (maybe large with an orca) to deploy. The WH guys aren't too pleased with this because they have to build a freighter in the WH just to deploy the citadel. The devs seem unconcerned with this restriction.

Probably higher classes too, as to say no XL in wspace period, I'm not sure about that since it would be like adding Dominion-like sov to wspace. As for L in wspace, I think they're allowed but you cannot haul them (they probably won't fit in the orca) so you should build them inside. Nothing in shattered holes though.
As for highsec, the limitation is more on the hubs and structure you can or cannot rig on them, for instance no AOE defenses or doomsday (ooops sorry) in highsec. As for anchoring an XL citadel in highsec I think it would be possible but prevented by darwin laws because anchoring a 70B worth asset and filling it with *glorious*shiny* stuff would be like the dumbest thing ever and granting only to perma-wardecced by almost anyone. |

The stats released so far show that you would not be able to fit a Large in an Orca. It was pointed out to the devs that it was possible to build a Medium, build a freighter, build a Large, and then launch the Large from a freighter. After discussing that some the devs said that they would look into fitting a Large into an Orca, but nothing has been officially released yet.
As for putting up an XL in highsec, someone will do it and it will be a glorious article on TMC or EN24 I'm sure |

I would like to add that CCP said they estimate the cost to be around 700m for a medium but as most industrialists will probably want to make a profit on them and with the increased NPC taxes I'd expect them to be over 700m on the market |

Thats why I plan to get all PI materials by myself. Mad PI speculations ahead, so I rather set up few factory planets.

Well, apart from early mexalon speculation there is no much reason to expect citadel to put more presure on minerals market. But PI... thats whole other story. The bigger question is - who and when will start sell first BPC? It will take a lot of time to research and copy, from what I have heard. |

Smart people may have noticed that the citadels require PI materials.
That's the bottleneck.
There will be a huge demand for citadels initially, and there is unlikely to be enough PI materials to meet that initial demand. |

Don't forget fuel costs either. All the modules need to be put online, some with a large amount of fuel blocks. Then there's the hourly cost of each separate module.
So don't forget, every module you add to it adds to the hourly cost.
The price will increase for fuel blocks as well as the Stront per manufacturing run has increased, but the amount gained per ice block will stay the same.
CCP have also said that the Stront requirements per fuel block run will increase over time as well. |

As far as I understand they have not started working on the industrial new structures yet. So there is no info on that for a while to come. |

Because now a large POS in HS is abit hard to kill. And will i be able to store my orca in there? Because when i'm not boosting i store my in the POS so my friend can take it out and use it |

You do realise account sharing is a bannable offence?
https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203269561-Account-Sharing
Or do you mean you leave it in a hangar for anyone to take, it's not something I have ever done so it's not clear.
If the bottom question is possible then I apologise for the account sharing. |

We have 2 boosting toonin corp, so we share the same orca, i boost in Eu TZ he boost in AU TZ. but we use the same orca. I dont see a point to have 2 orcas.
Also i share my orca, i dont want to share my isk and get stolen. I trust him 750m not my whole assests. And i didn't know about that account sharing. Thanks for the info |

Would someone with a better grasp of citadels be able to clarify something for me?
Reading through the blog, I came across this chart:- clicky
Comparing the medium and large citadels, the large citadels require a factory module and reprocessing module during construction. Does this mean the the large citadels will come with these abilities as "standard" or would you still have to fit the service modules on top of that? |

Those are just the components necessary to build the "hull". You will still need to fit the applicable service module to your citadel once anchored.
Factory services will not be seeded in this first wave. |

Price premium for the early citadels is not that much of an issue I think. But lots of people will be happy to get on the first citadel killmail.
If you are planning for medium citadel for small corp/more private uses, let the big boys plant down their Citadels around the hot spots in the region first. You certainly don't want yours to be the first/only citadel in the region in a juicy spot unless you are actively looking for fights.
Same things happened with POCOs. Some high sec corps rushed to get the first POCOs in nice spots and they got burnt pretty bad. Citadels are more similar to POCOs than POS in a way that you cannot tear down the structure before the war dec goes live. If you have them in space, you are either committed to fighting to defend or take the loss. High sec people already put too many things up in space that they are not prepared to defend.

According to me spreadsheet, just the P4 PI needed to make a M citadel would be 926M. But that doesn't include making them into components. My sheet calculates the total based on component sell and buy prices, but unfortunately structure components is such a new market the prices are no where near realistic or usable.
For example, the price to build a M citadel based on component buy price is 887M. Which is just wrong because it is less than P4 cost. And to build based on buy price you are looking at 2.1B. And that is because what few components there are on the market are marked up quite a bit currently.

Cheers Final cost is going to highly depend on cost of blueprint copies as well. Not that many people have 7bil to throw down on a entry level citadel BPO. |
