What we really need is a calm female voice saying "Attention, you have been scrammed/webbed/painted by a an enemy frigate/destroyer/cruiser."
And have an alarming "warp warp warp" noise to go with it.
Trust me, to hear this as you get taken down by a gang of pirates, it would never get old. |

I've always considered that to be a problem with the module icons themselves. Even without some form of color blindness, blue and a bluish green aren't too dissimilar on casual glance, especially when the icons are reduced in size. |

This thing is a game changer. Thank you CCP very much. It will enhance our gamep lay by a lot. Just one suggestion please add the scripted option so we know what we are debuffed or buffed with. it is very important.
I want to be able to see at glance what scripts i need to change on my Guard based on the debuffing icons.
Really good job CCP.

CCP Paradox wrote:Hi everyone,
In order to fix an issue with overlapping texts when you were being actively jammed through ECM, we decided to add the jamming effects to be visible in the offensive effect bar you see above the Ship HUD (The capacitor/health/speed UI).
We're looking for feedback on this new look so we can adjustments if necessary. Please try this out in game on Singularity if you can, and let us know what you think.
We also added incoming (remote) defensive effects, such as capacitor transfer, sensor boosting, tracking links, ECCM projection, hull & armor repairers, and finally shield boosting.
You can see an image of how this looks in game here:

Offensive effects will always appear to the left, and Defensive to the right.
Update: There have been some modifications in reacting to the feedback. Please let us know what you think, so that we can make further changes if necessary.
Looks good but i would like to see a QTY of whats hitting u at the same time as what we have here is good for 1v1 but when you have more then 1 on you it would be good to see. E.G. a small number above saying yeah your scrammed but by 2,3,4, 50. etc.... |

perhaps an answer to the issues of warp scram/disrupt icons would be either to have a D and an S in the appropriate icon or 1 icon with the top half lit for scram and the bottom half lit for disrupt. obviously fully lit for both together.

I too have to insist that only the ring be colored, it is a lot of saturation. And again, scrambles and disrupts are and always have been hard to tell apart. |

when you hoverover the new effects icon will it show you who is doing the module on you? Like for incursions if you had only 7/8 logis shield repping you but 8 were locking you, could you tell the difference from the new Hud icons?
ps. Scram is dark blue, points are teal.
What i'd like to see is a scram notification in letters showing up like if someone were using a scram on you when someone uses the new HIC scram on you. k tx bai |

Excellent update! In the past two years, you're correcting issues Eve had since 2003; one of them was the poor and uninformative UI. These changes arrive 10 years late, but are very welcome nevertheless. Keep up the good work! |
