The fact is Eve is losing members on a massive scale, and there are many reasons for this but the most significant reason is that there hasn't been any truly new content in a long time and people need new things. You can't expect some one to do the same thing over and over again for years on end with out them getting bored.
All you have to do is add in new content and a lot of new content not just small things that really amount to nothing, but truly unique content that you guys are more then capable of producing.
Before you read ( or see a lot of writing and rage about it being to long) lets understand some thing right now while this game is amazing and tons of fun, there are many new companies coming out and producing games like eve because they realize that the age of fantasy mmorpgs with elves and dwarfs and goblins etc.. is over the time for games such as eve is here make it work don't disappoint your fan base you don't have to take the suggestions I've made below and implement them for me to be happy but you should take the " new content " suggestion to heart.
Step 1. Ban all members of The New Order logistics and Code alliance
Step 2. Make real stations, Create inner areas that are massive allow us to not only walk around the stations but do trading inside of them, add bounty boards etc.. Allow us to sit back and relax and be social with fellow gamer's " face to face " so to speak by giving us true stations that we can do many different things in.
Step 3. Expand the universe add new areas of High, Low, Null and w-space, and when I say new areas I don't mean 4 new Regions per security type I mean 20+ add a lot so we have more new areas to explore.
Step 4. This is an extension of number 3 add new forms of space with an entirely new security status, with new dangers etc.. Where are our super novas, our black holes?
Why has there been no contact with earth, you easily add earth into the story line and create a mega war between them and all our current factions on the pve side which would inevitably lead to more pvp as well.
You could also then take all our current factions and add new ones such as separatists that aren't happy with their governments that break off from them and forum a new faction made up of people from all the current ones again this adds more pvp and more pve.
Why haven't we gotten any truly new and unique career options yet, we need more things to do in game, Different things, part of the problem all mmorpgs face is stagnation if you continue to provide the same content re-branded with a new name and a few graphical tweaks with some ship tweaks of course people will get bored.
How could you expect us not too you haven't added any thing that's actually new in far too long.
Step 5. Take planets and add a map too them allow player run corporations to take control of a planet and build structures on them, let us walk around them. Add in new mini games for people to play.. But more importantly add in an entirely new system of warfare.
Planetary annihilation, we could fight over planets and the structures on them from our ships in space, using bombs missiles, lasers etc... To destroy the current structures, and the assets including pilots contained with them but it couldn't be that simply you'd have to add in land based defensive weapons and shields.
And in doing so you could then add in a brand new arsenal of weapons, shields, scanners and so on specifically for planetary warfare.
Such as but not limited too the following
. Scanners to detect offensive/defensive planetary objects
. Weapons to attack the planetary objects, they would all be different things designed to penetrate shields, destroy land based turrets, and most importantly land based structures. All of which would naturally require new skill training..
. New careers that area geared for constructing these planetary Objects.
. But wait there is more! Along with this new technology comes new materials from new sources, new " Gathering " careers can come as well, Hey whats that red gaseous cloud in the distance, i'm not sure lets go scan it and find out. Well I'll be damned that's the new " Space Gas " that all the scientists are talking about.. Hey lets harvest that using the this newly invented device so that we can transform it into some thing else... ( I can't do all the work for you, you'll have to figure some things out )
CCP let me remind you that because of the type of game this is you have the ability to provide us with an endless amount of content. We are entering an age when people will finally start getting into space, mining asteroids and much much more you need to capitalize on this now before some one else does, You could actually keep this game running indefinitely if you started producing new content.
If any one has actually managed to read through this please add in your ideas as to how ccp can improve upon the game, and please if you have any ideas for new content put them here don't worry about other players insulting you or telling you that your idea is bad.

DON'T FEED THE FREAKING TROLL PEOPLE !!!!
I'd also like to point out that someone who names himself like this clearly thinks very high of himself ... ... up to, most likely, identifying himself partly - or in full - with the imaginary figure he believes to represent.
So there's a good chance he's ... how do I say it nicely ... ... disconnected from reality ... ... but you can see that for yourself anyway.

Get rid of gates. It's a space game, instead we have a bunch of rather static pre-defined rooms full of scripted "challenges" ... space is big. Eve solar systems are tiny.

I agree on some level, i wouldn't mind seeing like I said above new regions of space with out gates I'd love more exploration on a large scale.
Actually you know what I take that back you're right we really need a major overhaul and removing things such as gates an expanding the universe not only with new regions and " types " of space they could make the existing areas larger.
You also brought up another point i'd like to expand on " space is big. Eve solar systems are tiny. "
The current exploration career is pretty much devoted to hacking, why not overhaul this career ( an all other existing ones as well ) to add in new things.
Such as but not limited too
Finding certain types of planets, exploring space for set periods of time ( sort of like a timer based system ) scanning down and locating structures that give clues which lead to other structures and planets etc.. The longer it takes you to find the end location the higher the pay out will be.
But also an expansion of the existing areas could bring far more to the sandbox then I initially realized think about it, We have gates right now, and those gates while used to travel are basically just large shipping lanes.
Well what if we could travel through space and define our own shipping lanes on a large scale, making pvp in some aspects more difficult but also more fun.
Corporations could send their " explorers " out to find new routes through space, and quite literally make their own shipping lanes, how you ask? Well they could place custom offices and or new structures which they could bookmark and warp too.
Store goods in them and build up large areas of space with new stations that you can only get too by finding them!

Why would you post some thing with no valid input, is increasing the amount of posts you have that worth it, I wont respond to you or any one else that trolls in this thread again.
Please be respectful to your fellow players no one is here to insult or mock any one else I created this thread for players to be able to post their ideas on new content that they would like to see implemented in the game in a friendly and safe environment, there is no reason to attempt to degrade this environment by being rude to one another :)

how about we remove concord, from the game completely?
Can i have Ima Wreckyou as my slave? can we have slaves, any slaves?
Your opinion is your opinion and you have a right to it, I personally do not like your suggestion as it would take away from the game.
That being said Lan Wang I'm happy to see that you feel safe enough to comment in my thread, and more over that you're willing to admit you'd like to hire npcs to protect you more power to you mate!
Keep the suggestions coming!! |

Too much free time, with head in the clouds.
1-4. Head in clouds. 5. Let me cite an example, the "awesome" EVE-DUST integration. Literally, "awesome". I would go as far as citing Star Citizen as another "awesome" in the same genre, we shall see. Both suffered the Head in the Clouds Syndrome.
Henceforth, I propose Head in the Clouds symptoms be added to any upcoming Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-x) edition. After all, anything goes in there.

I have not EVE'd for very long but I know exactly what it is and what it needs. Also, Grr CODE.
Hear that goons? No one cares about you anymore, it's all about CODE.
Thread should be locked for lunacy to the nth degree. I'm sure that's in the rules somewhere, probably between "thou shalt not post redundantly" and "CCP giveth, and CCP taketh away"

Step 1: Why? This serves no purpose other than to lash out at a group you dislike. That makes no sense as this is a sandbox and people should be allowed to play as they like without exploits. Nothing CODE does is an exploit. Even if you foolishly banned the accounts others would take their place. In other words, just because you don't like a playstyle doesn't make it invalid or bannable. CODE provides content much like any other group. And if you fly smart, they will never touch you.
Step 2: though it would be nice, the resource demands from both a personal computer standpoint and to develop would be restrictive. You are asking the company to gamble about a million dollars or more on development costs, on something that failed before and won't pull in the code audience needed to keep numbers growing. Maybe if you could crowdfund it, but as it stands, this is a pipe dream that won't happen.
Step 3: what does this add? No really, more empty systems with no value? More sites to explore that will floor the market destroying any value they are and making careers like exploration useless? There is enough empty space already. It is reachable by all, nustnlearn to probe and go through a wormhole. Adding more won't make more people join eve. All it will do is add unneeded resources hurting the economy at best which will drive people away.
Step 4: how does that generate PvP? There are ample empty parts of faction warfare unused. New groups won't make new content. New pve? How? Ooooooooo... Some new group sends me to rescue the damsel again? Not new. A new group for worlds collide? It's still the same mission.
And they did add a new group, the drifter which are an improvement but that took time. Where can CCP generate the employees and funds to make 4 unique groups happen quickly?
Step 5: ever heard of Dust?
Sorry op, but your suggestions seem sort sighted, do not reflect what has been done already and would require huge amounts of resources. It just doesn't seem realistic or even useful.

Like i said the ideas I put fourth are just that, my ideas. They don't need to be implemented the point is simple mmropgs are supposed to be dynamic they are meant to grow and change and I realize the majority of people do not like change it's part of human nature to dislike change it takes us out of our comfort zone but it's also the nature of the beast, with out change things get dull quickly.
As for dust I'm a pc gamer so I don't know any thing about it.
Start citizen looks interesting but It also looks like it could get really expensive and seems 50/50.
Integration of games i don't know... I'd think that would create a lot of friction between the player bases.. |

if these are your ideas then a good idea is to post it in the right forum section, or is your other idea to turn this into an idea forum?
