I will be away from the game for four months, and was looking to get some suggestions from the experts here about long, boring, but useful trains to put in my queue. On int/mem atm; ecveboard of the same name. Ty in advance |

First off, I'd train Advanced Weapon Upgrades to V. I remember it to be The DEFINITION of a long boring skill. But it is actually a very important skill.
Stay in Engineering and get Capacitor Management V
Next in Armor: All the comps to IV Repair Systems V
Targeting: All the comps to IV Long Range Targeting to IV
I see your Minmatar ships are at V. I'd do the shield comps to IV also, because Minny ships can fit both ways.
Then I have to recommend you put a couple months into drones. You're not perfect mapped for them , but nobody ever is. The important part, is that you need the skills badly. Get the support skills for them and train all the rank 1 and rank 2 skills to V. They train so fast, that the time savings/loss really is not a big deal.
After that, maybe top off a nav skill or 2. Bump the rigging skills a level or 2.
I'm a big fan of skills at V, but I think the right advice is to have you bring everything to IV's first, then YOU can make the choice of what to max out. V's are really where the time sink is.

Electronics: EWAR -> IV (for EWAR Drones).
Engineering: Advanced Weapons Upgrades -> V Capacitor Management -> V Electronics Upgrades -> V Nanite Interfacing/Operations -> IV
Navigation: Acceleration Control -> V Afterburner -> V Fuel Conservation -> V High Speed Maneuvering -> V Warp Drive Operation -> V
That oughta take a few months.

Didn't even look at your skills, but the first one to come to mind was: Tactical Logistics Reconfiguration 5 and all the other capital module skills to 5, with the upcoming T2 modules.
Otherwise: armor, engineering, and shield skill categories, followed by navigation (int & per) and electronics. Lots of skills.

Well, if the siege triage modules are anything to judge by, the only new capital modules that will have new skills to train are the weapons. So that's what? 8 rank 10 skills, just about an year to train or so. |

I just changed my sheet back to password-protected, but capital skills are a long way off for me (18 mills). Next chance I get to log in I will implement some of your suggestions. Thanks all! |

I'm not responsible for you not looking if I've missed any.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

This is my favorite thread on the topic. Definitely maybe bad under certain circumstances but not others maybe.
For the record, mine is at 5. |

Generally, the bigger your ship is the more you want it. Bleeding through your last five percent on a frig would be unnoticeable, whereas it'd be a pretty sizeable amount of damage on a capital ship. But all in all it's a low-priority to get it from 4 to 5.

Just pick a high end ship class and work toward that. Blops with JDC V plus T2 weapons/drones plus repper skills is a good long train. That way you can get at least one racial BS to V, Blops itself to IV or V, have JDC V (which is handy when you move into capitals later), and JFC IV or V. (I'd also throw in Cyno V so you can light covert cynos when other people are flying the Blops, just to round out my cloaky warfare skill set)
If you don't want to risk a billion isk Blops in combat, operating it as a logi boat is common. Rep modules and repair drones. If you feel like risking it in combat, T2 weapons or drones will be a must.
The other obvious answer is capital ships. They're about to see a reworking from CCP, so it's a good investment.
Another idea might be training up several T3 cruisers. Enough time to train racial cruisers to V, those T3 skills to V, and all subsystems to V (those are only 1x anyway). With implants, probably have plenty of time left over to train a medium sized weapon to V and it's specializations to IV. If you chose medium hybrids- you could use them on both a Tengu and Proteus. |

Actually considered training for BLOPS - sadly I didnt have all the prereqs for jump skills (next in my queue after medium projectiles) and dont know when I'll be ble to log in and modify queue/aqcuire skillbooks.

I'm currently training Advanced Spaceship Command V...14 days to go. Is it me or does this skill seem unnecessary?
If you think you will be wanting to hop in caps or even freighters 4 months is a good chunk of time to get in all your prereq's and core skills for them. Make sure its something you are absolutely interested in cause training proper capitol skills takes many many months and sometimes years.

Advanced weapon upgrades 5 is what I did on all my toons when I took a long holiday. The benefits may appear small, but make a big difference, unless you a miner or trader of course. Train for a carrier with t2 drones, that way you will get a lot of needed skills up (T2 capital shield and armor mods including RR and cap RR), throw in bs 5.
