The OP is not asking about exploration site belts. The OP is asking about hidden, aka "off-grid" belts.
To the OP: with the changes to the scanner, there is no way you can find these anymore . Your only bet is to hope that someone left an anchored can in there and scan it looking for a can rather than the roid.
Or alternatively if the system is densely populated, fly out on the ore respawn day, and scan for ships/jet cans the same way you would have been scanning for the hidden belt. Chances are, someone with an old BM would be there.

I was under the impression it isn't possible to scan for containers. Is this the case? Why there should be a breathalyzer to login to Eve:

Edited by: Gaia''s Wrath on 24/01/2007 23:20:08 You can no longer scan for the off grid belts but you can still search them out. It just takes a lot of time. You can deduce the general direction based of drift but still it now comes down to pick a direct and go.
Oh FYI i got a BM collection of over 400 hidden belts. Its nice having an old character and being a packrat.
Hint: use a very fast interceptor.

Malediction with 3x local inertia stabs in the low, T2 1MN MWD, cap recharger and a roid scanner in mid, buggerall in the highs!
Well thats how I find the off-grid roids now ^^ -=^=-

Hidden belts have always been around. As well as hidden complexes.
The problem was not many people knew how to find them. So CCP introduced exploration, mostly because people couldn't figure out how to use probes.
But not far from where you are mining your Gniess maybe ten or so jumps is a system called Maseera, at Maseera Planet 1 you'll find one of the original hidden belts.

My bad, i meant a jet can, not a secure can. Secure cans no longer show up on scanner like you said, but regular jet cans do.
