according to the Microsoft page, it has to do with your directx coding... apparently it provides some information for fixing your problem... but I'm too tech illiterate to understand it.

Thanks for checking MJ Incognito,
Could you please do the following:
1. Go to your laptop control panel 2. Click on the 'Intel Graphics & Media' section 3. Go to Options & Support then Information Center
At the bottom of that section you should see the Processor Graphics name. i.e. Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
Please type which HD model you have.
If anyone else is experiencing these issues please complete the above and post your GPU model number in this thread. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

After getting to Information Center there is not a line that begins "Processor Graphics Name".
With System Information displayed (not monitor) the first line in the top box reads Intel HD Graphics (Core I3)
Down a number of lines beside Processor it reads Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5
In a box below that one beside Accelerator in Use it reads Intel(R) HD Graphics
Singularity wants 10 hours or so to DL, so as bad as I want this fixed I need my PC for other stuff today. Will DL tonight if a solution has not been found by then. |

Thanks Max but you dont need to download the whole Singularity client, if you follow the instructions in the link in my last post it asks you to copy your TQ client and then it will patch the copied install. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda

Copy your TQ client and then down load the current patch or direct Sisi launcher at it. Will save down load time.

In the instructions I believe it said sislauncher would copy the files. Anyway, I copied them and tried Singularity. I undocked, jumped 2 systems and docked. Quit game and repeated. Still get the black screen at client load, each undock and each jump.
Added 2 files to my original bug report # 123053. The file you just asked for from the save button and dxdiag.
Sorry dxdiag was not provided earlier. |

Dell Latitude E6410
Tried previous workarounds (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1529941&page=1#10) and adjusting the TdrDelay with no luck. Alt-tabbing before jumps sometimes helps, but not very often :(
I sent a bug report a few days ago and was informed the team is already aware of the bug. Should I resubmit with additional info at this point?
edit: Also tested setting TdrLevelOff to 0 with no luck. |

after doing all of that i have not had ANY problems with eve blanking out or crashing.
I hope this helped. I will see if i can figure out the same steps for other computer as well.

Tried this and no luck. I've also tried the test server and am having the same problem. I've got two logserves from the test server to upload, one from a jump and one from launching the game. Just to know know whether I should make a new petition or attach them to my current one.

for the other setting on the 3d the texture quality is set at balance the anisotropic filtering is sett for application settings and the vertical sync is set to application settings.
if you want to do a restart then you may. I didnt. I also help a corpmate fix their dell desktop and their laptop which was a dell is the same fashion. they are not having anymore problems with the graphics.. |

I tried restarting with no effect. I'm pretty sure changes like these happen immediately. Intel's software would instruct you if you had to restart.

Same problem here. Resubbed today after a year break to get this flickering screen, often crashing the computer after jumps and session changes. Can i have my money back please? The game as is is unplayable. Thanks.
And yes, I am also using Intel I3 processor with dual graphic cards in my laptop (Intel HD onboard card for work and stuff plus Nvidia card for games). The problem seems to be with I3 processor and dual graphic card setups like my laptop has I think. Eve graphic settings menu shows that its using Intel card, although I have manually set it up so that when Eve starts computer should automatically switch to Nvidia card. Laptop model is Asus U30J. MB version U30JC. |
