So Mummy thought that she would try to remember how to use the probe thingies. I hopped in a Helios, because they are just so ugly I adore them and the little drone and I can play "I spy with my pale eye" together.
Anyway, I went down a rabbit hole and there in the overview right off the bat was this "epicenter whatsit." So I hit warp and threw the cloak switch to on. The astute observer might think that I had forgotten to bookmark the wormhole, and the astute observer would be correct. That is the second time in less than a week where I have neglected to bookmark a wormhole, causing some inconvenience.
Anyway, I arrived some comfortably safe hundred kilometers off the epicenter and was immediately startled by all the great big glowing portals. It was like a demonic invasion in some Gallente fantasy holo. Various Talocan tidbits were strewn here and there and some emergent whatsits were on patrol.
I thought, "Oh! Well, this seems new(ish)."
Immediately after thinking that, I decloaked to spit out my probes poked the microwarp drive and set the cloak switch back to "on" - but was prevented from doing so because something was targeting me. Only nothing was blinky blinky and there were no noises.
Anyway, was there in fact another demonic invasion? |

Demonic invasion? You speak nonsense!
Come on, this is reality, not a fantasy setting! What you are looking at is Talocan science that we still haven't fully understood yet! Probably some kind of wormhole generator that has gone haywired or isn't properly activated or something.

Or his "Demon Summoning" tower? OH NO!!!!! Demon invasion!!!!

That guy is high all the time and only his towers should be taken seriously (only because of the slaves he confine in them).

The only "demonic invasion" in New Eden is one of crazy bloodsuckers in Jovian eggs. |

I agree. Unequivocally! The Jove must be destroyed. Or have they been? I'm a little more caught up. All the Jove were dead, so some crazy Jovian AI system started printing bodies using body parts collected (in parts) by capsuleers (well done) and (in parts) by a crazy Sani Sabik priestess who went off on her own and got herself a target on her head (well done). Anya insists that it wasn't her. Now, the cluster is under threat of a Jovian zombie invasion. Because Nation zombies just weren't sexy enough. Perfectly understandable.
But are the big glowing sphere portals at the "Epicenter" also Jovian? They looked a wee tad different. |

Don't you mean 'Talocan'? You found that 'Epicenter' in a Talocan ruin and all.

With respect to this one particular question, I do in fact mean "Jovian" - as in, "are the big glowing space portals an extension of the (re)invasion already known to be underway?" If so, then they are not manifestations of Yet Another Alien Invasion not previously known to be underway, such as the Talocan returning to their own ruins or some previously unidentified mysterious alien race re-ruining a Talocan ruin or what have you. |

Or malfunctioning Talocan machinery.
Jovians are another race from another ancient civilisation that has outlasted the Talocan's.

Well,I'm afraid I don't know much more, sweetie. I declined Ishukone's request to punish the priestess in question, because neither my golden phallic Paladin nor my sleek flattened Nighthawk would be allowed into the subspatial nook where the priestess secreted herself and the bodies she was sacrificing to the Jovian revenants (who are not to be confused with Nation revenants - though perhaps Nation revenants are a derivative of Jovian revenants, the prototypes for which were discovered by Nation in wormholes after an invasion preceded by the appearance of glowing space balls). |

As an aside, there are even larger glowy space balls around, nowadays.
Very pretty, those. Very big, also.

Well, if you say so. Just don't poke that... no... yes, I realize it is Big and Red, but... oh, damn it all. You there! Yes, you! Be a dear and turn on the news. I want to see who died this time. |

Sorry, the buttons are big and shiny and red.... If people don't want me to push them, they should have made them less conspicuous.
