Lots of talk about the coming era of citadels but I am not really clear on whether there is anything more I can do to prepare. My industry guys are skilled-up to lvl 5, I'm trying to keep on fattening my wallet in anticipation, and I have a system in-place for getting small things out of Outer Ring stations.
I've had a poke around on SiSi but can't find anything else that is helpful.
Is that it, or are there other things I could be looking at now?
I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Yeah, I guess so. My intention, however, is to be supplying others mostly.

Er... you're pretty late to the party. Your fattened wallet is going to be competing, for weeks or months, against people who bought P4s and prebuilt structure components while they were cheap. Neverminding the demand spike for the raw materials, there's also the material requirement change that will make certain components fundamentally more expensive.
The market crush you're preparing for basically already happened. Not to say that you won't still be able to scrape a few bucks out of it, but you would almost certainly be better off utilizing that wad of cash now.

Forums are a bittersweet experience. You ask a question and get lots of answers to other questions and opinions about this and that ... mostly things you were not asking about. Failing anyone knowing the answer can somebody steer me to a resource? I've seen the CCP publications and they're notable mainly for their non-committal vagueness. I've tried looking elsewhere for details but they seem to keep coming back to the CCP ones. Are their lists of components and blueprints etc anywhere, or are we still working with those somewhat vague recipes?

The BPO and all materials were listed in a devblog months ago and prices have already spiked, fallen and risen again to their new norms for the required P4 materials |

Thanks Kenneth ... I think
I had clearly missed / misplaced *that* particular devblog and still cannot find one that lists those things. I assume you're referring to the one-block-at-a-time devblog ... which I think I had been skipping over and missing all those spreadsheets-in-space.

I think Kenneth Feld answered your question the best anyone can. The dev blogs gave out just enough information for those people either planning to build a Citadel, produce Citadel BPC Kits, or related structure/module components to begin the process of planning, stockpiling, copying BPO,s, etc. Because this is such a massive undertaking on the part of CCP, I believe that the player base will have a fairly steep curve to overcome once the "vague details" are revealed. I can say this... Our corp/alliance indy folks, market traders, and PI monkeys have scoured the dev blogs in an attempt to get as prepared as possible for the Citadels. Our market guys have speculated or purchased a good amount of obscure items like: *Exotic Dancers *Janitors *Slaves *Plutonium *Carbon And much more... Ore stockpiling, PI Advanced commodities, Salvage, etc. Essentially, those things needed to build an outpost or any large structure in Eve. Admittedly, there may be things currently used in the largest available deployable structures that may not make into the Citadels. That is the risk associated with speculating on the end product. Also, some of the items mentioned carry other risks as well. Plutonium and Slaves carry legality issues (confiscation and standings loss in HS). The up side is that many market commodities that once held limited or no use will now become a viable commodity. IMO, unless you are a large corp/alliance, it may be better to concentrate on one area of the Citadel structure deployment. There will be numerous Rigs, Modules, and additional structures introduced after the initial deployment. There will lots of activity and opportunity for individuals, corps and alliances to make ISK.

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never.
Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

Thank you very much. That one-block link and the subsequent discussion here has been very helpful ... if only to realise that I am not so terribly unprepared as I had thought.
