Do low sec missions pay out more or is it all the same? Not asking about time efficiency just RAW LP / ISK pay out compared to low sec missions and high sec missions
Level 4s ofcourse

Level 4s ofcourse Yes, but the higher payout is hard to justify over the greatly increased risk.

.. except *cough* level 5s
Just to clarify, the payout is based on the truesec of the Agents station not the truesec of the system where you run the mission. In theory a level IV agent in a station situated in a losec island who normally sent you to do burners in adjoining hisec could be a lucrative thing. No idea if such an agent exists. |

Reblier is a lowsec system with 2 level 4 agents and a highsec system one jump away. It's not an island though, since it leads to Syndicate.

Ahh, how risk averse you are.
Not really, or no more so than your day-to-day operating in low sec. Running SOE L4s in Aeschee can be dangerous, yes, but really the majority of the risk lies in docking/undocking when it is camped - instaundock BMs generally solve that problem, as does getting to know the locals.
Accepting two Burner missions at a time (with the lowsec increases to LP!) is nothing short of fantastic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Reviewing Arthur's killboard will confirm, while you can call Arthur a lot of things, you certainly can't call him risk adverse.

To further clarify this payouts are based on the system the agent is located in, not the agent themselves. Even in high sec the LP payouts are higher for the same mission run from an agent in a .5 system than they are from an agent located in a .7 system.
Bumblefck wrote:Ahh, how risk averse you are. Risk aversion or lack of it has nothing to do with this. Since we are talking about level 4 missions here a single ship loss can wipe out months worth of the increased rewards gained from running level 4's in low sec versus running them in high sec.
Going back to the OP and the question. The answer is yes you will get more LP out of a mission in low sec than you will running that same mission in high sec. The real question that should be asked is this, is that increased rewards worth it over time when you factor in ship replacement costs. And yes if you run missions in low sec you will lose ships over time, the corp my son is in catches multiple low sec mission runners every week, in fact they specifically hunt them just for fun and laughs between battles with other low sec groups.
So in the end you will have to make the decision based on your own wants / needs. |

I run missions out of a 0.5 system. What's nice is the story line missions are out of the same system and with the same NPC corp.
The LPs are good and I don't risk a lot being tied up in a mission while in Low Sec.
And I will fully admit, I am very risk adverse. I only roam around in Low Sec with a Magnate with all T1 equip (seriously, I'm risking may be 5M isk) and do quick Data and Relic sites. I don't want to get tied up in a combat site or mission at all while in Low Sec.
It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

My impression having tried it is that you'll lose far too many ships to make it worth doing. Generally speaking, people in lowsec are only there looking for kills and will actively seek out others to destroy. There is no negotiation or discussion. Their entertainment comes from destroying your ship.
A best plan would likely be to join a low sec corp and be bait. They'll "guard" you as you lure others into fights to entertain them.
Or buy a Stratios, fit a cloak, be prepared to abandon drones, and watch d-scan... and fit warp stabilizers.
Honestly, it's a fool's errand. You can do other similar things much more profitably for less risk. Missions in low pretty much defines losing ships. |

If you're solo and want to survive in low sec, you need speed and agility. Completing FW or ratting is probably more lucrative than lvl 4s, and you can do em in a T1 destroyer or cruiser. |

This is how you mission in low sec. And this too. Cheap easy to replace ships, high standings so you can blitz (ignoring missions that keep you in one place too long) and knowing what missions to do. |

Kind of odd coming from a guy with your predilection for losing very blingy fits in high-sec.
